What about all the problems with the downloading times and the frequent upgrades I keep hearing about the Xbox one? It sounds like hell. And I heard that it takes 10+ hours for download to complete and while downloading... you cannot do anything on the xbox. But it is said that you can play games while downloading on the PS4. I have never heard this issue about the xbox on youtube ever and I've watched a lot of reviews on the new gen consoles.
This is a biased misleading representation of the two system. The PS4 Slim doesn't have 4k blu-ray, optical audio & the VR headset is sold separately. The Xbox One S has way more aaa title exclusives, 4k blu-ray & streaming, hdmi in, hdmi out, ir blaster & the most exclusives of 2016!
Also, the 'Sony' VR is not part of the PS4 hardware. In that case, that'll be like saving a PC running (Microsoft's) Windows 10 is part of an Xbox One because of Xbox play-anywhere games or the Oculus Rift is because it runs on a Windows 10 PC just like the Xbox exclusive games do.

the ps4 is slow with downloading for examble i had a destiny ubdate it was like 1gb and it said 99+ hour s till done... it took 30 minutes. Here are some very good pointers you should know about both the ps4 and xbox one/one s . X box one / one s is soooooh quiet but the ps4 sounds like a flippin Dyson hoover on steroids , the ps4 4 is almost double the price than the xbox , the xbox is on par with the ps4 regarding graphics , if you want to play most of your old ps3 games on a ps4 then forget you can`t unless you pay out £12.00 every month for the privilege and that`s only a select few but the xbox will play over 250 titles of 360 games on both the xbox one and one s . The UI is cleaner and quicker on the xbox than the ps4 . Iv`e come from the ps4 to the one s and will never look back EVER !
I jumped into this generation about a year ago. (Got the PS4 in August 2015 & got my XBOne at the end of December 2015) Having fun with a couple of exclusives on each. LOU Remastered on PS4 & finished playing Halo MCC Remastered on the xbOne. Like them both. Last gen was just awesome (X360, PS3, & NDS Lite) & makes me glad I had a back log of games before I jumped into Generation 8 of the Console era. Not interested in the PS4 Pro, Slim, or, XBOne S. Got another back log of games as I type this. In fact, I think I'll play Red Dead Redemption again. Before the release of GTA V, many fans believed that RDR was Rockstar's greatest game. I know this is from a while back, but to add a comment to this I'll say; Both consoles are fantastic to game on and both consoles have the capabilities to be superior to eachother. My personal preference is the PlayStation lineup, because I've owned a ps2 and I know roughly what they're like to game on, and the list of groundbreaking games coming from the ps2 model especially have been amazing experiences ( such as Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Resident Evil 4 and The Shadow Of The Colossus ). Saying that, I have used some of my friends Xbox's before to play quick games and whatnot, and its understandable why so many people love what Microsofts done with it over the years. Theres no doubt that theres more exclusive games on the PlayStation, which may be due to the fact that Xbox has been releasing some of its 'exclusives' to PC, as a factor of its standing with Microsoft. This is not to say that any console has better exclusives however, because the Xbox has games such as Halo, Forza and Gears Of War, whilst the Ps4 has exclusives such as Uncharted, Infamous Second Son and The Last Guardian. At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you want from your console, whether you are looking for an all around console such as the Xbox, or a console that excels in gaming, such as a Ps4. ( Note; The ps4 has had some dodgy exclusives such as the new Ratchet and Clank, highly anticipated yet left quite a few long term lovers of the franchise feeling like a soggy burrito. )
Xbox one is my pick because the controller is more smoother and rumbles when u get killed or u have low hp and one Kinect ability like it says face login the console says who ever is this person put your hand over ur head to login that's cool
Like they said, look at what most of your friends have and what has the exclusive and services you prefer. No friends? PS has Communites and Xbox has groups to allow you to find other players and play with them ;)
I'd recommend Xbox as the platform allows you to cross play with friends on PC, you receive a Console and PC copy of every Xbox Exclusive upon digital purchase so you can play anywhere. Xbox Live is faster, more reliable and comprehensive vs it's console competition, there are plenty of great games free backward compatibility and you've got the best controller in the game.

im about to buy a new console on black friday. I love the gears series but that is the ONLY thing xb1 has going for it imo. PS4 has Infamous series, street fighter 5, KOF 14, God of War 4, uncharted series, Ratchet & Clank series, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn & the new spider man coming up & if were lucky a Resistance trilogy remaster & a resitance 4!!! Not to mention EVERYTHING looks better on ps4. I had both systems when they launched a few years back& yes games look much better on ps4 (better shaders & AA)
I've owned both and currently own an Xbox One. The PS4 has by far the better selection of games. All Xbox One has is Halo, and that's why I bought one.

Not only did they not recommend the game system that has the most exclusive games, in favor of the one with more non-game "Media" functions (remember when video game boxes sold on what video games they played?) - they actually say that Sony's online service is stable and comparable to Xbox Live (it's not - It's frequently down, their game giveaways are usually mobile tier trash, nor is it even secure) - and apparently haven't gotten the memo that No Man's Sky was basically a shovelware cashgrab which lead to the company disappearing in a cloud of smoke the moment customers caught wind of the scam. It's not an example of a high-profile exclusive. Neither, btw, is Gears of War 4 or Forza Horizon 3, which have been ported to Windows 10 PC along with most of the Xbox's other "exclusives". What I think is PlayStation is more on gaming and Xbox is more on movies and that kind of stuff that's my opinion I will have to go on PlayStation because I play tons of games and I can upgrade the hard drive and not have to buy an external hard drive for the Xbox

You can stream 4k movies from a ps4 slim, xbox s ships with 500gb to 2 TB of storage, you pay extra if you want the 2TB model ( 399 )

microsoft does have a vr platform. remember their partnership with other company's for windows holographic vr systems

the ps4 is slow with downloading for examble i had a destiny ubdate it was like 1gb and it said 99+ hour s till done... it took 30 minutes. I have an Xbox one also it updated with all the content and never had a problem with it also the xbox it downloads very fast for example Battlefield 1 took 1hour for 50 ish gbs 100 mphs a sec it downloaded

X box one / one s is soooooh quiet but the ps4 sounds like a flippin Dyson hoover on steroids , the ps4 4 is almost double the price than the xbox , the xbox is on par with the ps4 regarding graphics , if you want to play most of your old ps3 games on a ps4 then forget you can`t unless you pay out £12.00 every month for the privilege and that`s only a select few but the xbox will play over 250 titles of 360 games on both the xbox one and one s . The UI is cleaner and quicker on the xbox than the ps4 . Iv`e come from the ps4 to the one s and will never look back EVER !

I jumped into this generation about a year ago. (Got the PS4 in August 2015 & got my XBOne at the end of December 2015) Having fun with a couple of exclusives on each. LOU Remastered on PS4 & finished playing Halo MCC Remastered on the xbOne. Like them both. Last gen was just awesome (X360, PS3, & NDS Lite) & makes me glad I had a back log of games before I jumped into Generation 8 of the Console era. Not interested in the PS4 Pro, Slim, or, XBOne S. Got another back log of games as I type this. In fact, I think I'll play Red Dead Redemption again. Before the release of GTA V, many fans believed that RDR was Rockstar's greatest game. I know this is from a while back, but to add a comment to this I'll say; Both consoles are fantastic to game on and both consoles have the capabilities to be superior to eachother. My personal preference is the PlayStation lineup, because I've owned a ps2 and I know roughly what they're like to game on, and the list of groundbreaking games coming from the ps2 model especially have been amazing experiences ( such as Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Resident Evil 4 and The Shadow Of The Colossus ). Saying that, I have used some of my friends Xbox's before to play quick games and whatnot, and its understandable why so many people love what Microsofts done with it over the years. Theres no doubt that theres more exclusive games on the PlayStation, which may be due to the fact that Xbox has been releasing some of its 'exclusives' to PC, as a factor of its standing with Microsoft. This is not to say that any console has better exclusives however, because the Xbox has games such as Halo, Forza and Gears Of War, whilst the Ps4 has exclusives such as Uncharted, Infamous Second Son and The Last Guardian. At the end of the day, it all comes down to what you want from your console, whether you are looking for an all around console such as the Xbox, or a console that excels in gaming, such as a Ps4. ( Note; The ps4 has had some dodgy exclusives such as the new Ratchet and Clank, highly anticipated yet left quite a few long term lovers of the franchise feeling like a soggy burrito. )

I'd recommend Xbox as the platform allows you to cross play with friends on PC, you receive a Console and PC copy of every Xbox Exclusive upon digital purchase so you can play anywhere.
Xbox Live is faster, more reliable and comprehensive vs it's console competition, there are plenty of great games free backward compatibility and you've got the best controller in the game.

im about to buy a new console on black friday. I love the gears series but that is the ONLY thing xb1 has going for it imo. PS4 has Infamous series, street fighter 5, KOF 14, God of War 4, uncharted series, Ratchet & Clank series, The Last Guardian, Horizon Zero Dawn & the new spider man coming up & if were lucky a Resistance trilogy remaster & a resitance 4!!!
Not to mention EVERYTHING looks better on ps4. I had both systems when they launched a few years back& yes games look much better on ps4 (better shaders & AA)

Not only did they not recommend the game system that has the most exclusive games, in favor of the one with more non-game "Media" functions (remember when video game boxes sold on what video games they played?) - they actually say that Sony's online service is stable and comparable to Xbox Live (it's not - It's frequently down, their game giveaways are usually mobile tier trash, nor is it even secure) - and apparently haven't gotten the memo that No Man's Sky was basically a shovelware cashgrab which lead to the company disappearing in a cloud of smoke the moment customers caught wind of the scam. It's not an example of a high-profile exclusive. Neither, btw, is Gears of War 4 or Forza Horizon 3, which have been ported to Windows 10 PC along with most of the Xbox's other "exclusives".

Sony still has some sweet exclusives which hopefully will also come to Xbox a year later (fair is fair as some Xbox 'exclusives' are coming to PS4). That being said, I am glad for this fair review other than their other 'BS' one comparing the PS4 Pro vs XBONE S...that is apples and oranges. Still thinking about grabbing a Pro for the new God Of War and Days Gone out next year. Those games will be swwwweeeet.
