- DCC sound project Bachmann class 166 First Great Western Dynamic lines livery conversion from analogue to DCC sound fitted, this was in a pretty bad condition mechanically wise and required a few repairs to get it running properly, just need to do the lights to finish it off, also Bachmann class 37025 Inverness TMD pushes Caroline around the layout fitted with Lais DCC 4 function decoder with all lights working correctly

I am really impressed with the Caroline inspection saloon. Superb model! Great camera position there Darrell on the access road. I just hop you can catch the little vandals that caused all that Graffiti! 😎

I’m really pleased I got it in the end Richard, took a couple of goes to find the right decoder for it but all running properly now. It’s a sign of the times with all that graffiti and they never get caught 😆 mind you they are more of an artist now compared to the 70’s & 80’s 😂👍

Hi Rusty, I wanted the factory to be more imposing but it wasn’t working for me when it was level with the main lines to hide the loop behind, so I raised it up and put the retaining walls in to give me more depth where it is now, just need it extending along now 👍
@darrelldeltic807 I think you have done the right thing, it does make it more imposing as you say and it gives the scene so much more depth. Brilliant modelling Darrell.
@@richarddelacamp1424cheers mate, I’ve bought a couple of sheets of plasticard to extend the length of it when your free to do a bit of alterations to it 🤭
@darrelldeltic807 ok, might be a while as we have sold the house and agreed a price on a 2 bed flat with a garage. Which is all going through conveyancing at the moment. So full on modelling at the moment is on hold, apart from a bit of warhammer. However, I will let you know when I can start doing commissions again.

@@darrelldeltic807 well I might be….. I’m getting the Bachmann version 😂😂 I wanted the intercity livery which revolution didn’t do, and my budget couldn’t stretch that far with all the other stuff I’ve bought lately. Looks great though, sure I will be happy with my Bachmann one
@@Mapplewell_Park the intercity version ones look nice, I had the Bachmann one and was delighted with it, but I sold it on as soon as the revolution one was announced,
@@darrelldeltic807 I’m planning on adding lighting to it. It’s already been weathered at my local model shop, and might try and improve the interior but I’ll see. The Revolution trains version does look very impressive 👍

Cheers Andy , i had a spare Bachmann 158 V5 22 pin plux decoder, (nearest I had to a 166 sound) wired in a Lais DCC breakout board and fitted a roads & rails 45x20x7 tablet 4ohm speaker , hope that helps 😊
