All it needs is either an ipod/ touchscreen integration, or bluetooth.❄️🔥
i noticed someone mentioned putting the ammo reset in with the mag release button, but after reviewing the video a 4th time, i realized, where the lock the prevents it from firing, there's a perfect spot for a switch there, so whenever you put your mag in, it will trigger the switch and reset for you.
Freakin' finally.
:D
Captain Xavier a big bad bow spring works great 👍 check out aromeks stampede vids
add emergancy side mounted thing
WalcomS7 hello
WalcomS7 I love your work, I've been thinking about having three drain blasters on only one trigger with three chopper clipizines on each barrel!!
Here's an idea... An ammo counter that uses NFC chips. You place an NFC reader on the inside of your mag well, have a button on your counter that "programs" a number when a new chip is scanned. (say you select 6round, then you press the program button, and the next mag you insert will be registerd as a 6-round) then you place a NFC chip on your mag. You walk through the above "program" process, and now your ammo counter knows that when that mag is inserted, it's a 6-round.
I was wondering why this blaster was so satisfying, then I finally realized it was built for a lefty lol
frappuchino man Indeed it was!
I'm vaguely new to this as a hobby. Started because my niece was finally old enough were I didn't worry about her hurting herself or others. But basically, finally found your channel this week, and.... I had no idea EIR's base was a Stampede. I wasn't expecting it either because I was looking up the Icon release, debating getting one, and saw people saying, "it's cool but not easy to mod and too slow" I kinda thought EIR was some type of heavily modified Stryfe because of how much the community drools over Stryfes. But, with that all said. EIR has gained new respect from me.
Stampede master race! These are too cool.
Hello, just wanted to tell you that i did a similar mod to your barricade shotgun, works beautifully, thanks for making yours, without it, i probably wouldn't have ever thought an old barricade shell could be so useful :)
Right? I was at a loss for what to do with it too. Were you able to make an absolver out of the cylinder?
yes but the seal isnt very good, i had to use gettoie methods becuase i couldn't get my hands on a reducer
Oof. Yeah, that was why I abandoned the Barricade Cylinder. Too many holes. Too much work needed to get a good seal. That is why I switched to other Springer cylinders.
i did make a maverik attachment using a getto absolber system i made using a pvc endcap with 1/2 cpvc tapped in back of if to a coupler amd yes i simgled it with fvjs....... its horrifying
This. This is modding goals!!!!
i just got a Stampede that my friend thrifted for me. I hope that one day my Stampede will be a fraction as awesome as yours.
you should try to make it even better!
Looks like an absolute head ache and a half on the inside.. But such a clean job with all of the wiring and all. One hell of a build man, well done!
Thanks! I was really happy with the wiring once I finished it.
She's beautiful. Many props to you, Chaylo.
Thank you!
When you maximize materials, crafting experience, and smartness
By far the coolest stampede I've ever seen. Good job captain xavier👏👌👍
I love this blaster and Stampede mods in general. I'm modding another one soon, cosmetic primarily, but I would love to make my underslung barrel fireable.
Man I want a stampede like this
Cap'n ...just wanted to say thanks...cuz I'm working on my Stampede right now & this is a BIG help ( EIR is AWESOME ) Thank you !!!
I love the stampede
It’s my main
I LOVED that you still use it instead of the rapid fire
That thing looks awesome
@Captain Xavier: I can't find any images or breakdowns of the pertinent parts, but I wonder if you could incorporate the smoke-maker from a Buzzbee Gunsmoke so that your 'muzzle flash' LEDs would illuminate a little smoke coming out of the barrel.
So...do you already have a remote land mine?
Beret Yes
Captain Xavier please make a video on it
Beret ask him for it to run them in a war
OMFG your are the genius of nerf you are the only one who did this
Hes a coplete nerf nerd
Congrats on getting 1000 subs!
Spectacular Blaster sir! Bangarang!
Intimidating for sure
I have this thing that you can run two aux cords and I personally was thinking that you could plug it up and have a second shoulder canon and you can have them both shoot from the same trigger or you could have another trigger under the main trigger to shoot the other trigger would require another place to plug in another aux cord into to go to the second shoulder.
This is a technological BEAST!!
Great Balls of EIR
Wait for it... ;)
This is the best thing I have ever seen!!! Also, where did you get the motor for the titan and what kind of motor is it???
I believe it is the pump form a blood pressure cuff. I could be wrong. It was given to me by a friend so I really don't know for sure.
cool I need to do something like this, it is awesome!!!
Jesus the amount of battery's EIR has must make her really heavy
Very
muzzle flash wiring idea. I didn't see anything but here it is. use a tiny relay. use the circuit for the ammo counter switch in series to the coil of the relay. Then use the circuit for the uv led in parallel to the switch side of the relay. then wire it so everytime the ammo counter switch closes the relay engages the led circuit. muzzle flash done.
Thanks I will look into it! :D
EIR is a beast
so setting up select fire, single fire 3round burst full auto, would be cool requires some arduino play but I think it would be a nice to have feature. as far as the LEDs for the front barrel just add it to the ammo counter circuit, because it already runs off a trigger pull and you already have the switch and with a resistor you should be able to drop the voltage for them.
I tried figuring out select fire and failed. Supposedly it has been done so hopefully there is a tutorial out there somewhere.
I like the idea of having the muzzle flash linked to the firing mechanism the same way the counter is so it only lights up with the blaster actually fires. And the counter runs of 3 AAA which might not even been too much for a string of LEDs. I will try this. Thank you!
Any chance of a "what if I built her today" video?
Yup, I will be rebuilding her someday.
Looks really good you are with my spinners all the wall
I don't know if you've found this article yet, but it mentions what kind of motor Hasbro put in the rival zeus. It also mentions the motor in the stampede/vulcan/swarmfire.
torukmakto4.blogspot.com/2015/08/nerf-rival-zeus-lightning-link-rs390.html?m=1
Hope it's of any use to you.
keep up the good work man
I will try...
I want to buy a Stampede...New in package "NEVER BEEN SNIFFED" & turn it into a "MASTERPIECE " like (EIR) is, yup sir ......that's what I wanna do !!!
You should add a phone charging port via micro USB or whatever charging cable you use, and add some sort of phone-blaster integration!
hmmmm...
Set up an HC-05 Bluetooth module to that secondary trigger to blow up a remote landmine.
you could add it to your ammo counter circut for muzzle flash.
For the safety switch for the second trigger, you should integrate it into the original safety that you would find on an unmodified stampede.
I would, but I want to be able to fire EIR without being able to fire the shoulder cannon so I made the safeties separate.
That's a lot of trustfires
Right? I know, shame on me. I will replace them all with IMR's someday, I swear. :P
Captain Xavier "someday"
Hey Chaylo Awesome vid, But heres just a suggestion, u should make it so that any time u take out a magazine/clip it reset the ammo counter.
i know u said u cant fix/change the ammo counter but its just a suggestion
I seriously considered doing this but I could not find an easy way to do it. However, as my skills and knowledge improve I might come up with a simple way in the future and add it in. Thanks for the suggestion. I love getting them because sometimes people come up with things I simply never considered. Thanks for watching!
Hey Chaylo, i know its late sorry i have school tomorrow but i couldn't risk forgetting this.
what u should do is, is put the reset button in the mag release it'll basically do what we talked about earlier.
all u have to do is take the reset button and put it on or somehow integrate it into the mag release.
You should get the nerf modulus chrono barrel and take the internals and slap in eir. That W̵̯̘͇̃̔̄̄̑ould be so cool.
Finally something that's left handed
FYI, rigid and fibrous wire are not things. It's solid and stranded wire respectively.
@ 16:05 ruclips.net/video/aHQ_xW11KqM/видео.html
Good to know, thanks! I am not an electrical engineer so I did not know the terminology. Thanks!
you would want to use the counter circut so that the flash works when you fire
Hope this isn't a stupid question, but isn't it possible to brass breech stampedes? Given the amount of dedication put into EIR, I would've thought that one would be in place. Nonetheless, your work is nothing short of incredible.
It is not a stupid question. It is a perfectly good question that has been asked before. The reason I have not, and have no plan to, put a brass breach in EIR is functional and practical. EIR was never intended to compete with high end Flywheels or Longshots or the like in hardcore Nerf Wars. She was built, as I said in the video, to kill Zombies in HvZ. Brass breaches do significantly increase the range and power of a blaster but they also severely decrease the fault tolerance. That is to say they are much more likely to jam if you are using anything but brand new darts or Stefans. I need to be able to scrounge ammo in the field, because even with as much ammo as I carry, in a long mission ammo runs low. Second, they significantly increase the range and power, which means you can no longer use them safely in close quarters and that is what HvZ is all about. If I built a blaster that hit as hard as an Airsoft Gun at point blank range it would get banned from HvZ in a heart beat. If I mod EIR to the point that she can no longer be used against Zombies I will have negated her purpose. I do have plans to built blasters that can complete in high end Nerf Wars but EIR will never be one of them.
Captain Xavier Thanks for responding, that makes sense. Are you planning on releasing any war/HvZ footage any time soon? Would love to see these projects in action.
Have you ever considered using Worker brand 22-round magazines? They can be clear or orange, and have higher capacity, better feeding, and look nicer. I would if I were you.
I definitely want to get some. I have a worker 15 and I love it. Sadly EIR's ammo counter does not have 15 and 22 as options so I would have to manually decrement down from 18 or 25 every time I reloaded and that is time I often do not have.
Ok thank u very much
I am absolutely terrified looking at the battery housing.... there is no purple on any of the IMRs
Something to consider is the possibility of Fire Mode switch. Burst, Semi, and Full Auto. Kind of actually looked like there already is one, but you said nothing of one, so... yeah.
Trifted a stampede
This is the coolest thing I've ever seen dude!!
:D
Captain Xavier have you read my comment to Walcom, I will love to hear your response.
I have not. What was it? There are billions of comments on youtube and, as far as I know, no way to search for a specific users comments.
whoa. amazing.
Holly ******* **** you mad man I am speechless
Would be awesome if you put a select fire kit some how
Wait, what motor are you using in the main gun?
Stock motor, it is perfectly fine for the stampede and can take up to a 4s and break the gear box,
Add your modules hot shock to the side
a stampede's gears will hold up on 4 trust fires ? ,iv bin running with only 3 ,but would love to go to 4 on an 8kg spring
Epic Build, man. Certainly worthy of the music! Can you tell us what the pump you're using for the Titan is? Got a link? =0)
Thanks!
It is a bike pump I got at Walmart. Looks like Target also carries them.
www.target.com/p/bell-airstrike-dual-action-bike-pump/-/A-13616883?lnk=rec|pdpipadh1|related_prods_vv|pdpipadh1|13616883|1
Hey cheers for that, but I was actually keen on the electric one at 9.00. In Walcom's vid there was some suggestion it's from a medical application? Even if you just had the specs I could look it up on AliExpress...
The gears inside the gearbox are the same size as those in the Slingfire gear boxm
Hey yeah? I didn't even know the Slingfire had a gear box.
This dude is amazing.
Thanks!
SO MANY BATTERYS AAAAAHHHHH
use the firefly mechanism for the muzzle flash
Keep up the great work man
Gonna try...
Captain Xavier are u from Australia or USA which country do u live in
Why are those the only options? I could be Canadian for all you know. :P I live in the USA,
You should get the metal gears it because they're this guy on Facebook that sells them, his Facebook page is called LZ mods I thought you would be interested in metal gears for your masterpiece
Oh and the stampede catches and nice looking triggers.
Keep up the amazing work.
Thank you! If ever EIR's gears break I will replace them with metal ones.
Hey Captain Xavier (Chaylo), how would I send you fan mail? Not like letters or pictures or commissions, just something special. Also, congratz on 1,000 subs, and here's to 2,000!
I am working on getting a P.O. box. Once I do I will posting on my channel. Thanks! I have all sorts of ideas to keep you all entertained.
Thank you very Much Xavier, I have a Blaster that I know is Nerf, but I have never seen before, its Air powered and shoots 20 darts in full auto, I have no use for it, so I was going to see what you should do for it, since you know how to work a titan tank. Thanks again.
Hey there I'm kind of (I'm really) late to this but I was wondering if you know where you got your springs from? I'm trying to modify a stampede as well, but I can't find any good springs anywhere
I bought them online years ago. No idea where anymore.
You should replace your arm mounted raider with a modded full auto stryfe and connect the power jack at the back of EIR to it.
That is one of my ideas. Or a Rapidpistol.
Machine new gears from aluminum so gear shear problem is fixed, also plz put k26 in & the aluminum gears (also aluminum covers recommend) would fix problems.
You seem to be under the impression that I have the ability to precision cut aluminum gears...I do not.
Captain Xavier You don't have to. You could ask a local machinist to do it 4 u, or if you want, you can send the schematic to me and I would be more than happy to cut them for you.
Captain Xavier of course, it would cost some money, but I can cut the price down cause you are a nerf genius and you are one of my favorite RUclipsrs! 😊
For my runaway problems(mine runs on 20v max drill battery), i just snip the little catch thing on the catch. If u need a pic, drop ur email and ill send it!
I know this isna bit late but had idea on your muzzle flash part(I will be looking at your other videos in case it gets solved before now). What about using the "decriment" counter switch? It activates with each trigger pull so why not have it flash an LED(or several LEDS) too? I don't know if its possible but it was my idea.
As it turns out, the genius who designed the ammo counter actually included an LED "blink" circuit. He saw the video and told me about it! I will add it in someday...
For the jack on the back that powers your shoulder mount, why did you decide to go with 3.5mm audio jack and not a DC power jack? I've been tinkering with a similar idea for a blaster, using some free space for a rechargeable battery pack and having that wired into other parts so I can disconnect/connect them when needed.
Callum Parkin-Jones It does not power it. it just activates it. The Shoulder blaster uses its own internal batteries for power. The jack on the bottom of the gun just completes the circuit to fire the shoulder blaster. The jack on the back of the gun could power another blaster but doesn't yet. That was just something I realized I could do. Make sense?
Callum Parkin-Jones I used 3.5mm because it was easy, cheap, and fairly universal.
Ohh so it just forms a connection between the switch and the blaster, can't believe I didn't realise that tbh.
Camptin xavier if you did not know the gear failure prevention yet you can do it just search in the net:nerf stapede gear failure prevantion
Its really easy to do because of you now i will try to find a stempede
Have you looked into 18650's. from my experience, even the trustfire's give around 10 amps for cheap.. of course I go with the 35amp 18650 imr from the vaping community.
I have not. As I understand it that are longer than AAs so they would not fit in the 4 pack holders I have and would cause me to run into space issues. Unless I am wrong about the size...which is entirely possible.
hey Captain,great job
just wanted to ask.........what is the battle ready weight of EIR ?
thx
EIR weighs in at 3.015 kg
A stock Stampede with D cells weighs in at 2.085 kg
thank you
How did you wire and tube the air compressor? I’m probably gonna use an Oken Seiko rolling mini compressor in my build attached to a Walmart drain blaster set up as an under mounted mega shotgun. I could mutilate a Magnus for the same effect but this would fire three or four mega darts at a time instead of one with a quick load magazine.
I just wired in a second battery pack, wired NEG to the pump, POS to a switch, and then the switch to the pump. For the tube, it goes to a T that then goes to the manual pump and the tank.
@@CaptainXavierthanks.
EIR's inturnals looks like RadioShack
I would hope so. There are more than a few parts in there from RadioShack. :P
landmines?
Yup. And sentry guns. :D
Captain Xavier cant wait Till you show that shit
Working on it...lots of toys to get around to making videos of...
Captain Xavier what about in stead of the toy chainsaw bayonet a zombie strike brain saw minimized for a bayonet
hmmmm...might work...
I bought a couple of Stampedes at a garage sale this summer, and while I love them, I'm disappointed in the performance vs. flywheel tech. I've been trying to upgrade the bolt/trigger system, but I've been having a really hard time sourcing parts. Can you tell me where you were able to find the springs that you used to upgrade the firing mechanism? Additionally, is that the stock motor? If not, where could I source the replacement for that as well? Love your work, I've watched all your videos, and it's really inspired me as I'm a "nerf dad".
Unfortunately, I have no idea where most of them came from. I keep bins full of spare parts from other blasters and random store finds. I went through the bin and was luck enough to find springs that worked for everything I needed. The main spring, however, is a stock Stampede spring combined with and Orange Mod Works 4k upgrade spring. Hopefully that helps a little.
It is a stock motor. I tried finding a replacement motor but none of the motors I sourced had enough torque. I have accepted that EIR has now reached her max potential and I am very happy with what she has become.
You are not going to get the same high end performance from a Stampede that you can from a heavily modded flywheel. The design limitations of the Stampede simply cannot be over come. That being said I still prefer my Stampede for many reasons.
I like the stampede because not everyone is using one. And I was very impressed by what you were able to squeeze out if (from watching the video). Thanks for the info on the springs, I've got a small box of spare parts myself so I think I'm going to have to start seeing what trouble I can get into. Luckily, if I destroy one I have a backup.
Yeah, I have 4 backups in case I destroy EIR's internals getting too greedy with upgrades...
Personally I like the fact that the Stampede actually has recoil and makes noise with each shot. Flywheels just don't sound or feel right to me. They sure do fling the foam though...
Well, I've done some research today and found that OMW makes a 6kg spring for the Stampede. I figure that if I drop that in, put in some trustfires, I'll be closer to the performance I'm looking for.
Thanks for taking the time to show up EIR. You've done amazing work and I'm looking forward to seeing what else you end up doing. Maybe turn that manual wired trigger for the shoulder cannon into something wireless using bluetooth?
Captain Xavier gg
True I'm sorry
Any info on the springs you used for beefing up the gun to handle 16v? I'm a noob at springers and electric springers, I know flywheel mods a bit better. Trying to build a HvZ capable Stampede for my GF (who wants the original firing mech).
Nope. The main string is a 4k and the stock 2k for a total of 6k. The rest...random springs from the bin or doubled springs from another Stampede.
You GF is clearly a woman of class and good taste. Well done, sir.
It's Miss, but yeah.
Roger. I was interested in the catch spring specs and such. Figure I'll trial and error it. Thinking of adding an afterburner to make up for the lack of velocity compared to the meta of 130 fps 180 motor stryfes.
Would you say the BSUK loom would be a good starting point for someone not all that familiar with electric-springers? Figuring on 12-14v, 6kg BSUK spring, BSUK loom, 130 stryfe cage, not sure on the AR delete tbh. Love her but she and I do have a bad habit of accidentally dry firing once or twice when dumping a mag in a pinch. Don't want to grenade the blaster.
Beautiful build, and it definitely makes me want to do a fully-loaded Stampede build. Does she run the stock motor on the gearbox, or is it an upgraded one?
Stock Motor and Gear box.
Thanks! I was also wondering if you remember what kind of electric pump you used on the Titan tank.
Congrats on 1k subs
make me wonder what an Eir class nerf blaster would cost on the market as a production blaster in its current form
Oof...many dollars...
easily 400 gold
A goat's weight in simoleons at least.
You should make it a possibility to use the unity power system for the Titan
Do you have any Idea what psi that little pump will work up to?
Nope
CAPTAIN XAVIER make a flywheel stampede
Hey, awesome videos, man! Been binge watching them all morning haha. Btw, the link to the "archange..."-channel in the description is not working. Did something go wrong or have they deleted their account? Cheers from the German exchange nerd ;)
Fancy meeting you here! How the hell have you been?!
Huh...so it is. Looks like they deleted it. I will fix it. Thank you.
Pretty good. Working a lot but there's always time to watch awesome nerf insanery on youtube :D Subbed, btw ;) All the best for your channel! Keep them vids coming!
Thanks, I will. I have 5 more filmed, 2 edited and ready to go. They are a bit on the silly side, hopefully people enjoy them.
Nice. I sure like silly so I'll be okay
do you ever want to make this shoot boomco darts someday? that's like the last ammo I can think of besides ballzooka balls which I don't think many people are bringing to wars for fear of losing them.
gamerguy425 It already does fire boomco. Both single and multiple. :D Singled is terrifying...
yeah imagine you could just casually shoot people on the moon with that much power behind a boomco dart, and probably hit them.
and I could in fact donate a couple ballzooka rounds if you want to make it shoot them too just off the fact that I mentioned it. I bought one broken at a thrift store and it's just been sitting in a bag for a year now....
What type of compressor pump is used for back up filling?
No idea. I was given the pump by a bald man in an alley. No specs were given and there are no markings on it.
kinda looks like the pulse rifle from aliens
What if you use the stock spring a maverick spring and a retaliator spring with 18 volts, will that work
No idea
Can you share the specs of the jacks?
Awesome Blaster, by the way, you have inspire to build a primary, and name it after i survive some zombies
Horacio RuGtz Which jacks? The internal ones? (no idea what they are, got them at a hobby shop. I think they are 18g) Or the external one? (they are 3 channel 3.5mm audio jacks from RadioShack. In hindsight I should have used 2 channel and I may swap them out)
OK so this is a blaster that has confounded me for a little bit it's automatic but it's a Springer? Hopefully help figure out how it works from this video.
Yes, it is a full auto springer. It uses a motor and a gear box to prime it.
@@CaptainXavier neet
Hey Captain! I'm sure you spent a lot of time on this gun, and thus might be somewhat attached to it. That said, how much would you charge for EIR?
EIR is not for sale. Nor would I be willing to build another quite like her. :(
I’m 3 years late...... but I think he meant if she was for sale, what would you charge. EIR is obviously too amazing to sell
did you buy the ammo counter or did you make it yourself
14:00 It was bought.
Trustfires! 👍
Skookum? You an AvE fan? If so, it explains a lot about your style of modding.
Never heard of AvE....whoever or whatever that is. I was first introduced to the word in college. They used it to mean, "in proper order" or "as it should be." Which I have since learned is not it's proper usage but it is still in my vocabulary...
Oh, he's a guy that breaks down tools and hardware and stuff. But, that's part of his vocabulary as well
kind of ironic that you use a word that means "in proper order" or "as it should be" wrong, Captain xD
