- Here is my Condor MOLLE plate carrier in all of its absurdity. I forgot to mention the quick release hooks on the shoulder straps that the battle pack clips into.

These gear videos very much inspired me to join a hvz group, I never thought it was worth it to dump a lot of money into it if I didn’t know if I was gonna stick with it. (It was worth it in the end) bco mrs corona, we haven’t done one lately but this adventure has been very fun and surprisingly easy to find efficient gear for cheap, (I’m currently going to collage, not in the best position to be paying a lot of money for a once in a while hobby) I remember when these gear videos first came out and I thought it was a very interesting thing to get into, and this brings back old memories. at the rate at which 3rd party hammer shot barrels are expanding...you would eventually be able to load one at the beginning of a game, us it as a primary, and never have to reload.

In all honesty I have a really big slow moving target. I am designing a lighter kit for Nerf Wars with mobility in mind. This is my heavy rig for HvZ when mobility is secondary to holding the line against a horde of Zeds. :P

That name goes way back. I first used Xavier in my high school french class. We had to pick a french name to use in class. I always liked the name Xavier so I went with that. Then when I got into medieval recreation my senior year I went with a french persona because I liked French armor so I took the name with me and became Capitaine E'Xavier de Normandie, a mercenary and privateer. Since then I have used it in pretty much every system or game I have played in. There are people that have known me for 15 years and still call me Xavier or Xav.
A pouch for my pouch? I have a pouch with a bag in it. Does that count?

You really need to do a video showcasing IRE!! I know Walcom want over it quite a bit but would love to hear more about it from its maker! Why a stampede? What all accessories and why each one? Etc.
It is on the list. That is a major under taking and I want to do it right. I plan to do at least two videos on EIR. A "features" video and a build video showing all the internals.

It depends on the length. It comes in an 11in coil and it gets cut down to fit in the various blasters.

Well there are 20 Goodwills in the Seattle area. I have found the Tacoma area to have better stuff but you never know.

Not quite strong enough. I have been meaning to either add a second one or find some other way to reinforce the connection.

Indeed. Afterworlds uses red for Health and yellow for Armor. I imagine every system does something a little different.

You should make a shoulder or wrist mounted mega Magnus like your wrist raider
As it is not battery operated it would be very difficult to make a shoulder weapon out of it. A wrist mount would be easier, however, as far as I know the Magnus does not have slam fire so you would still need a functioning trigger which would mean basically just strapping a Magnus to your wrist. I'm not sure how well that would work. I will look into it though. Thanks!
I sort of cheated my first HvZ game since new player could only play Civies, I came in a full ODST gear set up sans helmet. next game I go to I will be even more ready but still no where near as ready as the Captain here.

The last shot that you save for yourself. So when you are out of ammo and the Zeds are closing in you can end it on your terms.

I do not know how much it all weighs. Not all that much. It is mostly cloth, plastic and foam after all. My metal armor weighs way more.
Yes, I have ordered a GoPro and plan to wear it at the Fort Worden War in early December. We shall see how much havoc I can wreak.

Good plan. My old rig (which still sees some use when I need to look less...clean?) is a surplus Korean War era web gear. Nice stuff.

I have not the foggiest idea what is and is not available in the UK. However, most of this gear is available on Ebay and Amazon. Whether the sellers will ship to the UK is beyond me.

You can see my face in all of the videos I did with Walcom. But perhaps for the 2k I will do the "Suit up" video people have been asking for. And I do plan to do lots of new mods in the future.

As in video games or LARP? What I do for WSU HvZ is basically LARP since we are NPC's. The Mods use us for storyline purposes as well as game balance. I also attend Afterwords which is a Post-Apoc LARP. I pretty much play a tank there too.
Ah, ok. I've been looking to start a Nerf club near me since there isn't one. I was wondering how prevalent/fun RP/LARP games are. Of the one game I've been to, it was a videogame mashup LARP where I was a Viking with a Garuuk axe and a Magnus. I kind of wanted to recreate this.
