Great video and I been trying to fish there multiple times and i have but never caught anything but some decent bass not that im complaining but can you show me the hook and what your doing like are you letting the corn sit or are you running it on the top of the water? Thank you
Sadly, the closest lake to Myrtle Beach is in North Carolina. Also, It'll be difficult to catch carp in general here. Your best bet is the location in this video or a private pond that you have permission to fish (good luck finding that). We're not an area known for our carp fishing.
I tried hitting Market Commons yesterday and had basically no luck, caught the tiniest largemouth. Do you have any suggestions for areas and bait/lures to use. Im a freshwater guy…
The most difficult pond to catch bass in Market Commons is the main very large pond. That pond probably has the biggest bass but good luck catching them. Remember there's lots of ponds that stretch that whole road. There's about 7 of them and you can catch fish in all of them. I'd suggest a rooster tail in the spring during the day and a small spinnerbait when the water cools off. Right now is a good time to fish anything topwater in the early morning and at night.
I have not, but I do know someone that fished them many years ago and "caught nothing." But take that with a grain of salt. Could be 10lbers lurking in there for all i know.
I’ve been fishing at market common lately and I’ve caught some huge catfish and carp the past few days. I caught a 7lb blue cat just the other day with nothing more than a ball of walmart bread, and just today I hooked onto a huge carp around sunset with cherry tomatoes as my bait
@@grandstrandangler8129 Oh yeah I know, they finicky as hell. They bolt anytime you get even 30ft near them. I’ve honestly considered spear fishing them but I don’t know the legality of it at Market Common 😂
Yea i probably wouldn't do that lol. It's not illegal to kill Common Carp, but it's illegal to keep or kill Grass Carp in SC. For that pond, both were purposely stocked to keep aquatic vegetation down.
This exact pond/collection of ponds is within a mile of that resort. You're also staying right on the beach, so you can do some surf fishing. You don't need a surf rod to catch big fish on the beach (especially at night). The biggest red drum i've ever caught was about this time last year, only ~15 feet off the shore, and using a 10 year old $15 walmart combo. Good luck!!
Grand strand angler ik u probably don't know since u do alot of saltwater fishing but that isn't a Chanel catfish it's a flathead catfish figured I'd tell u for future references
I appreciate you trying to help, but you are incorrect. You can tell because a Flathead has a more squared off caudal fin vs. a forked caudal fin in Channel Catfish.
Born Conway raised socastee Kool to see this
Yep, we got a good place for catfishes and bowfin. Just wish we had more public access
Great video, keep them coming please.
thanks for watching, Darrell. I appreciate the kind words my man.

What lakes and rivers around Myrtle Beach can be used for carp fishing?

Have you fished the old Indian wells golf course?

Damn, nice one man. I tried everything I could to get those market commons Carp to bite and they wouldn't even come close. They're huge in there.

Great spot to fish. I’ve filmed and fished there multiple times with great success.
Can be difficult to land the trophies, but certainly always a good time 👌🏻 Thanks for watching
I'm staying at the Crown Reef resort labor day weekend with my wife daughter and granddaughter! Any small pockets of water near there to fish?

Because of the pollution in the water why he looks deformed
