Some many people give so much love to this series not for only the lore, the story, and the fights but with how real it is/was. People shitted on Anime, before covid hit. Saying it's just a cartoon, but I grew up watching anime from the age of 4 and understood it was more than that, it was real and could teach real moral values. Some people in this world know they would be pushed over the edge, if it weren't for their friends and unconditional love they received. Naruto went thru all of that and still wanted to be the apple of the eyes of the village. Fought through a lot of bs and came out on top. Boruto, imo, never deserved Naruto, let alone the father and adult he became. I think their struggles are real. Just because we met naruto first and loved his sotry doesnt devalue the pain of Boruto. Boruto doesnt know the pain of not having a father and Naruto doesnt know the pain of having a father but never getting the time of day. One can be debatably worse than the other but its what their character is meant to represent.

Boruto being thrown out of the village and hunted down gives boruto more understanding to how Naruto felt and now Boruto is going through it but even worse because of the fact there's NO-ONE to help him. His friends hate him, The family he has left (his sister) most likely hates him aswell. boruto only has sasuke, sarada and sumire. since sarada convinced sasuke to save boruto because she's immune to reality being altered.
