Custom laser projector I built using 30Kpps galvos. This RGB projector is able to create shows that sync real-time using Pangolin QuickShow & Beyond 3.0
I'm amazed with the quality of the system you've got here, and appreciate the details, despite now knowing that I'll never own one as a hobbyist. I can only assume you utilize this set up to make money. This is just too awesome not to.
Magnificent skill you have sir! I wish I could build one like yours.. It must be a high end selling price device you made there.. Great job sir.. Salute from Indonesia..
That is absolutely amazing! This is exactly what we were planning to build, except we weren't even sure such a thing was possible. And your choice of music just completes it. Edit: One question though: How many edges can you project before the images start visibly flickering?
amazing what can be acomplished with a couple galvanometers and some electrical work. all my show is is a cardboard box with a hole cut in the side and a small fan with the cover off and a small mirror and a laser pointer. all it does is make a circle but with fog it looks like a time vortex.
+Alex Lubbers If you're ready to shell out some cash then do a little research on Photonlexicon(dot)com. The forum helped me build my first real projector. The hobby isn't cheap but there is nothing more beautiful than filling a room with multi-Watts of laser power xD
+ssjgogetta A little research on Photonlexicon(dot)com can direct you to the best sources for these materials as well as in depth instructions on how to build one. It may take some time to search through the threads but you will learn everything you need to know and then some!
I was wondering if these things can project a steady grid of small and varied shaped objects at once, covering a 10x10ft wide area wall... i don't need to move, in fact I don't want it to move at all. Also i was wondering about the refresh rate, if I was video recording the grid on the wall, would each object be redrawn more than 100 times per second?
Hi Paul, Great job man:) I was wondering if you could please tell me how to make this animation or can you just download this files from somewhere? If you can please help me with that. Thanks
Hi again Paul. It's been a while. What speed is this galvo ? Is it wide angle ? What's the max size projection available with the screen about 3 meters from the galvo please ?
Im just wondering, how much did it cost to make that? Ive been wanting one for a looooong time and i cannot find a fairly cheap one that projects nice.
Hi friend, I have had many problems with the laser that I have, could you help me, I have a BIG DIPPER SD01rg laser from SD memory, there are no tutorials on this laser and there are many problems with SD memory
Nice project, do you know any books, guides,... where you can learn to make a project like this and how to make it controllable with ILDA-software???Thank you
Hello paul i have a similar laser projector 500mw and i start using quickshow, but i see some images you have i dont have and some seem to be 3d.....is that the laser or you are using a different program?
+Alique Remtulla Langlois +Mephisto Parts are available from many sources. Two that I use the most often are Stanwaxlaser(dot)co(dot)uk as well as the seller "DTR-LPF" on eBay. If you need help or advice during your build process I highly recommend Photonlexicon(dot)com. It is a forum of many very skilled laserists, both professional and hobbyists. Rob Stanwax and the user DTR-LPF are both members as am I. They helped me build my first projector :)
If you could make this device smaller you could make a unit that reflected off of the back of a motorcycle rider....Turn/stop signals and possibly messages like "get off my six" lol Bet Harley Davidson would love to advertise this way...HA!
Looking good Paul!
Thanks - Love your software!
WoW, outstanding effect! I felt like I was a kid again in 90's and saw a laser projection 1st time :)
I searched specifically for this video after nearly a decade
This is amazing how you built it.
Wow!!!! Incredibly amazing

0:09 did you get rid of the not closed circle? What can be a reason for it? If you look at the very right of the circle you can see its not closed.
Do you have information regarding how you built the laser? Thank you.
What device is connected to the lasers and galvos where you run the code? Thanks.
