Hey Theo, I am impressed, I have not seen a San Juan that I would imitate. Most use a messy application of head cement all along the worm trying to make it more durable but it looks horrible, in my opinion. I like the fly, and the good use of UV epoxy. There is only one thing I would do differently. I would burn before I started the fly, not when it is done. I don't have luck with such things and if I were done, I would start a mini fire and need to tie it again. All the best to you, Sean
Beautiful fly. And I am sure it works well. You can also do one like this with our Squirmy Wormy materials. The rubber tends to move a lot more in the currents like a natural versus chenille.
