@Will Parke fh4 is the worst horizon by far, it might be the best game in terms of standards but compared to the feeling and vibe when the games were new, horizon 4 will never compete to the feeling of horizon 1-3

Don't worry, this is one of the first games for the then new xbox one and they wanted to use it's full potential which they did in an awesome way. With the release of the new series x I'm sure they'll do it again, they're either waiting on a cover car to get released in typical forza fashion or are already developing it. I've never played this game, but for me, it's just perfect, the choice of the music and the actual map is a perfect combo, the music and the atmosphere kinda take me back and make me feel something that actually never happened, it's perfect

4 years after your comment, the 10th Anniversary update just came out in FH5 and I had to comeback and relieve this masterpiece. FH5 is good and all but it failed miserably at giving off the same feels as this game did. FH2 really felt like a festival, the music, the map, the atmosphere and the aesthetics. FH1 & 2 are GOATED in my opinion
I really hope someone would just managed to turn the xbox 360 version of forza horizon 2, add all the xbox one features, and just made it into pc somehow
yeah im on my new account and im surprised i found my comment, i wanna say that i came back to this 2 years after this comment and it hits me harder every time. i still remember booting this up for the first time with me and my brother, sitting with anticipation on the bed with the monitor on an old dresser as the woman's voice started speaking. i will never forget this, when i get my first car this is the game i will remember turning the ignition.
what i love about forza horizon that in the trailers or intro's they always pay a little tribute to their previous cover car as a passing of the torch kinda thing i love it.
Honestly, horizon 2 gets the music, the location, the intro, and the overall feel of the game better than horizon 3. Horizon 3 improves a little bit over the graphics, but they made the colors a lot more dull and boring, and one thing I also noticed is that the rain looks a lot better on FH2 than it does on FH3. And on FH3 there are only a few tracks that I like, meanwhile on FH2 I'm always banging my head to the good, memorable music. And I also miss the multiple horizon sites and the multiple car meets, all with their different looks and showdowns. In my opinion, the only stuff FH3 Improved over FH2 is the customization, the car list (because it has proper off-road vehicles), and the car sounds. And I also hate the championship system, because on paper, it sounds pretty cool, it changes and adapts to whatever car you have, the problem rises when you actually want a specific championship or you just want to see what's available, because then you have to go all the way back to a festival site to get in a specific car, instead of being able to choose from a variety of championships at once.
Forgot to mention that FH3 is WAY more CHILDISH than 2. FH2 is a TRIBUTE for people that Like E-MUSIC (eletronic music) Gear Heads and Race game lovers. FH3 give you Hitwheels and 200 ft jumps like in GTA. For me its ORANGES and Apples comparizon. I FEAR for the future of Forza Horizon. Hope it doesnt do like Need for Speed did in the past after underground 2 and Most Wanted it went downfall.
An intro that is just utterly fantastic. It exemplifies Horizon, the ultimate party, getaway, festival. You're already amped up and in the mood by the time the first drive happens, then Liberate plays.
That was my first Horizon game I've ever played, and MY GOD was it something! This feeling of freedom, I still remember the goosebumps when you take control of the Huracan and the song gets louder. And the little montage after you arrive! The teenager who just got off high school that I was was soooo happy! Played this game literally for months non stop, I was in complete disbelief at all the cars you could get and just the whole atmosphere this game provided. I remember what I felt vividly. Fast forward to today, around 7 years later, and it's the first time I have rewatched the intro. It brought tears to my eyes. It all just came back at me like a wall. It made me remember when this game used to be available to test it along with the then brand new Xbox One in many videogame shops, right next to a, again then brand new, PS4 with Driveclub. It also made me remember simpler times. It wasn't *that* long ago, but I was still a teenager back then, I'm 24 now. The mentality, the experiences, everything. It's just different. I wouldn't want to go back, I'm happy where I stand now, but it did bring tears.
i now keep the physical copy of this and forza horizon 3, this game was my escape back in the day. I work minimal job, finally had enough to save up for a jtag 360. After so much stress and heart ache on my daily grind i play this when i get home, simplier times until i had to sell my console so i can pay for my dads meds. fast forward today i finally bought the series x just to play this again and remind me of the good things i had with this game despite of the problems life has to give.
when I first played this game, i had no appreciation for it and I took it for granted. I wanted to get through asap and just get to the real game. I regret not enjoying it for what it's worth. So thanks for the video.
None of the newer Horizon games have come even close to making an intro as amazing as this one. I wish they would put Horizon 2 on PC or have a next gen update/remaster it or something cause its my fav one and even though i have enjoyed the newer ones i think the series peaked with Horizon 2.

This was such an amazing intro, I honestly doubt it can ever be beaten just cause of the amount of pure nostalgia every one of us feels everytime we rewatch it. The emotion felt when she's counting to 10 is fucking intense and the clips used during it compliments it perfectly. The setting also happens to be my favorite out of all the games, such an amazing place to drive in, and I sure miss that cargo area 😂

This is the gold standard of open world racing games. For me this isn’t just the best Forza game, it’s the best open world racing game. Does so much to make you feel special and capture what makes cars special. Epic masterpiece.
I like Forza horizon 2 3 and 4 but I think Forza horizon 2 is the best game in the series. The atmosphere and the intro with all the cars on the boat as you leave for the festival.
This is the only game right now that I would like for the One. This intro looked pretty awesome. However, I hear there will be a somewhat different version coming to the 360 as well.
The intro cutscene gives me good goosebumps everytime FH1 was my start but FH2 was everything we wanted and didn't know we wanted in it. I would download it all again and it should be labeled a classic in the game genre
Nothing will ever come close just to how good Horizon 2 is. Its rly sad what the Horizon series has become, but as with all good things they have to come to an end eventually 😞 Horizon 4 was u know still good and I thought Horizon 5 would finally be some sort of return to Horizon 2 greatness but unfortunately the game was setup in such a way that it was almost as good as Horizon 2 for about a few hours and then it was just rly stale and online sucks. Unfortunately I wasnt around when Horizon 2 released (I was 12 back then didnt have X360 or XONE) so idk how the Horizon 2 online was like but I doubt it was worse then what Horizon 5 is like.

It’ll be 10 years since I played my first Forza game. This made me tear up. Hearing Liberate start and flow into gameplay is the ultimate Xbox nostalgia for me. This was it.
I only ever played the trial on the 360 and although I didn't buy it I played it for countless hours just driving back and fourth doing the same 2 or 3 missions perfecting drifting such amazing memories
Didn't have any console or gaming PC back then so I couldn't play this masterpiece. Watching this and listening to that ost playing in the background still gave me nostalgia and I can only imagine what people must've felt when they played through this intro and game.
This is truly the best car game of all time. Nothing comes close imo. The locations, it's music perfectly matching the culture the game's set in while also calling back to its UK creators AND heavily servicing the good vibes of the rave scene. The feeling as you experience each of the bucket lists. The game readily supplying you with the worlds best cars without overdoing it and loosing the sense of progression the wristbands give you (a critical flaw in the later games imo). And all the other things like liverys (which got me into graphic design no lie), car meets, and of course the showcase events! Damn, what a good game.

Didn't have any console or gaming PC back then so I couldn't play this masterpiece. Watching this and listening to that ost playing in the background still gave me nostalgia and I can only imagine what people must've felt when they played through this intro and game.
This is truly the best car game of all time. Nothing comes close imo. The locations, it's music perfectly matching the culture the game's set in while also calling back to its UK creators AND heavily servicing the good vibes of the rave scene. The feeling as you experience each of the bucket lists. The game readily supplying you with the worlds best cars without overdoing it and loosing the sense of progression the wristbands give you (a critical flaw in the later games imo). And all the other things like liverys (which got me into graphic design no lie), car meets, and of course the showcase events! Damn, what a good game.

This intro is absolutly epic! Best intro of any videogame of all time, the music, the ambience, the suspance and andrenaline, there is everything in this intro, hope for FH5 to be as close as this.

I remember this game as one of the best i've ever played as a kid and fortunately with a steering wheel.. the soundtracks, the map, the cars, it was simply perfect.

Played FH3, FH4 and imho none of them were good. FH5 is good, but I hate it's intro and doesn't have that unique atmosphere like FH2.
