I think her husband invested in the series in exchange for her to be cast because Sharmin has always wanted to be an actress but Bhansali never cast her in her what is considered the prime age for an actress's debut. And he only cast her in his OTT venture with so many actresses that it will mellow down her presence. Had she not drawn all the limelight with as-holery , he might just have gotten away with it.

Also, the Chalte Chalte incident. Salman came onto the set and started fighting with Srk and Aishwarya(his then girlfriend). Srk was the producer or the film, and he decided with the director that Aish should leave the film and Rani then acted in the film(who was apparently the first choice for the film but she rejected it due to her dates).

It is quite natural for audience to appreciate portrayal of gray and villainous characters, when done well of course. Case in point is Shahrukh’s fame after Baazigar etc. Ranveer’s character was captivating in Padmavat. Shahid felt outshined and honestly, him saying these things in interviews makes him seem like an insecure person. He is talented and he needs to focus on his own journey.

Honestly, Shahid was right about Padmaavat, forget Shahid even Deepika's role wasn't that strong...that movie just showed how Bhansali is obsessed with Ranveer....On the contrary, Bajirao Mastani had a beautifully written screenplay where every actor got the chance to showcase their talent...even Vaibhav Tatwadi and Tanvi Azmi...and thats why Priyanka stole the show....while Padmavat was Bhansali obsessing over Ranveer (although he did acted well)
Let’s be honest, Ranveer killed it but I think the problem was more in the storytelling that made Ratan Singh quite the righteous and brave lead yes, but quite boring as well. The audience naturally gravitates towards someone more dynamic and unpredictable
It's an actors job to do the role well. Obviously shahid and deepika didn't do so well which is why ranveer outshines them. It was not ranveer or bhasalis fault that the other two couldn't do well.

When Star Actors & Star Directors happen to lose the very basic point of filmmaking i.e. surrendering to the script, they have clash of egos and call it 'Creative Differences'. If Actors, Directors, and the entire team is in sync with the script and its chatacters, then there are no reasons for any such clashes. Even the On Set changes and improvisations work better for the film if its in sync with the core script and characters. All disagreements on the script & characters should be resolved before jumping in on the set. Personal Egos have to left outside the set and mutual respect for each member of the team should takeover as one enters the set. Surrender to the film that you are making and assure yourself that you are a Star Actor or Director at the outside, for the public.
Pankaj Kapoor is first gen actor. Critically Acclaimed actor. But not a Star who can have ties with filmmakers and loads of money to pump in for Shahid's career and image. This is not what you call the privilege of film family.

I do think Shahid had a huge ego problem until recently. I think manikarnika had a huge impact on krish in terms of his personal and professional life as his choices after kanche were safe bets as far as creativity concerns but it seems that he's recovering and I hape his next project with Anushka succeeds

When Star Actors & Star Directors happen to lose the very basic point of filmmaking i.e. surrendering to the script, they have clash of egos and call it 'Creative Differences'.
If Actors, Directors, and the entire team is in sync with the script and its chatacters, then there are no reasons for any such clashes. Even the On Set changes and improvisations work better for the film if its in sync with the core script and characters. All disagreements on the script & characters should be resolved before jumping in on the set. Personal Egos have to left outside the set and mutual respect for each member of the team should takeover as one enters the set. Surrender to the film that you are making and assure yourself that you are a Star Actor or Director at the outside, for the public.
