  • The novelization of Revenge of the Sith provides more details about the Battle of Coruscant than the movie presented, including a scene between Count Dooku and Chancellor Palpatine before Obi Wan and Anakin arrive. In this scene we get a better understanding of what Count Dooku believed would happen once they arrived.

During the end credits of ROTS I get depressed when Christopher Lee and Samual L Jackson’s characters come up knowing that everyone died as pawns in Palpatine’s scheme for control of the galaxy

Anakin at that time would have won no matter what

I wonder why Dooku didn’t know or understand the “rule of two” doctrine of the Bane Sith. His idea of a Sith army is way out of date and naïve of him.

I wonder if he thought the rule of two was only until the Sith “won” then it wouldn’t matter? The inquisitors sort of fill that role too. Not really Sith as much as dark Jedi though.

@@roguescoundrel see your channel is fairly new and wish you the best with it…
these guys don’t really post anymore…. but they are worth the listen especially when discussing revenge of the sith labyrinth of evil and darth plagues novels… they go in depth and have “such a knowledge of the dark side ☺️” meaning they know especially the legends lore better than nearly if not all people who discuss star wars lore… ruclips.net/video/V9pyl-CSU0c/видео.htmlsi=gBeqZVVW3NhN9SDv would be curious about your impressions… they are again…not active maybe some individuals still are… but havent found anyone with their appreciation, understanding, and depth of the characters and such… subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing it grow.

It is definitely better without it. Not knowing for sure that Palpatine was the sith lord was a huge twist I'd hate to take away for this. And much of this is something we all could have figured. We figured that Sidious betrayed Dooku and that Dooku was planning on recruiting Anakin by the way he talked to Anakin. So, we are left with a rough idea of what happened, which is good enough.

I agree the movie probably flows better without it.
I wasnt on the internet when the prequels came out and just assumed that Palpatine was Sidious all along and didn’t even consider that some thought it a twist. Because of your comment I looked around and found so many old threads from before PM and during the prequel era and yeah, so many people had theories on who Sidious was and if he was Palpatine or a clone. Crazy. Just imagine if RUclips was around then and the theories that would have been spread. Cool to know people were talking theories even back in 1998.

George Lucas doesn't know how to write stories.
The script said Skywalker must win but it is understated how far superior Darth Tyranus was.
Over 70 years of Jedi training plus the power of the dark side...Midi clorians are ridiculous and it "broke" the Force.
When Skywalker was denied the rank of master he murdered kids a few days later🤔...
    WTF 😂😅
George Lucas got lucky in 77-83.
