Back in 1934 an English woman called Theresa Wallach and a Friend called Florence Blenkiron, crossed the African continent coming from London in a small Panther 600. Theresa lived all her life related to bikes. Before the trip she was a pilot in Brooklands (one of the first to reach the ton) and in the 40ies, she was a dispatch rider during WWII and much more afterwards. She rode until her death in her eighties. Maybe you have heard of her African adventure. Every time I watch your videos I think that you belong to the lineage of those brave female pioneers motorcyclists of yore.
    You honor that rich heritage.
Much respect from a Brazilian biker.

Also, it is a second edition paperback, which has extra info on her life after WWII when she went to Canada. I love these kinds of books and have many in my collection, but she was a new name for me. One of my favourites is Running with the moon by Jonny Bealby who after a tragedy in India, decides to ride his bike from London to South Africa and back, it really is a heartfelt adventure that I highly recommend to any biker.

Ronnie might have redeemed himself by explaining that bit of detail to an obvious solo traveler who didn't complain or bristle at the lack of consideration - beyond offering half his sandwich. Really, how many travelers pass through this village monthly? It would appear that Ronnie's Shops' business is not so boom-boom-booming. 3/4 of a million subscribers may think twice about frequenting his "shop".

@@BunnyKingHogs Here in New England, USA, sunset is a dangerous time to ride. Deer are more active, and unexpectedly cross the road. A guy I worked with died one evening when he struck a deer that ran out in front of his m/c.

One cold, autumn, New England afternoon, riding my BMW, it started pouring rain. I pulled into the parking lot of a well known little "mom & pop" restaurant to get something hot. Through the window I saw the owner rush to the front door, lock it and flip the OPEN sign over to CLOSED!
I asked through the glass, "can I get a cup of coffee to go?"
"We're closed" was all he said and turned away.
