Have you thought about replacing the straw with rice hulls? Can get it same size bulk, but already finer and in small pieces. A lot easier to work with.
i'm kinda confused here because of the pressure cooker i thought you need to pasteurized the manure because otherwise you might kill good bacteria what shrooms need to grow
@@humanoid144 is not for moisture. you need to add water to make that dung wet so that doesn't make a sense.. substrate is wet enough dung has good and bad bacteria when you pasteurizing you killing only bad bacteria and is very important process otherwise you asking for mold
@humanoid144 Bacteria are key in forming a selective substrate, in providing nutrients, in stimulating growth and mushroom formation, and in protection against pathogens. If the dung is only there for moisture then would it be better to use coco coir/verm since they have no nutritional value to cause contam?
Youd be better off pasteurizing in a sous vide and just vacuum sealing that bad boy up. Set the temp to 165 and leave it overnight. You also could use coir/verm and worm castings for the nitrogen if you want to sterilize it.
How come the mushrooms that I'd pick at Three o'clock in the morning but there's some that are poisonous and the good one is the one with a gold ring under the hood of the mushroom 🍄🍄 and those were never sterile they were natural

Poo love's. Names of strains? Is Jack frost. Or hillbilly? Is penis envy a poo lover. Is golden teacher or Ape?
Over a week ago. I thought. Why not put the straw in the mix. I was just making a bed of straw.
I bought a desk humidifier $8. Blow away by resolute.
Clear and precise instructions as always. Thanks for simplifying the process for my caveman ass 😂
Thanks Lol
Totally dig this! I agree that sterilizing substrate is the way to go and poo is the way to go no matter the species.
Love your video
can you use straw pellets?
Never seen anyone uncle ben tech it with a pressure cooker accessible before

Have you tried it? I’ll give it a shot next time but something tells me it’s always been straw based. the straw is beyond a pain
@@everythinggrows you can get chopped straw @ tractor supply and race horse oats too .....
Love your videos and would like to talk with you about your sub recipe

Shrooms grow from spores which are added to the grain, then added to the mix

@robertcharles9072 yes pasturize coir bucket tech
Sterilize over pasturize?
Was it even a success? I guess not. I didn't see any mushrooms. The mycelium ate your casing layer up
