@@SteveAndAlexBuild Thanks Steve…haha yeah no windposts…hope you’re recovering well, keeping the leg at 90 degrees when you sit lol and those white leg socks 🤦♂️ All the best 👍👍
Grand job Chris, lovely shell you've created there, massive difference and well done for correcting previous builder poor work. Happy and successful year to you and yours
Spot On Chris. Your work is excellent All the previous builders issues ironed out The customer can be happy that their house is solid Well done Learnt alot from you and your team again. Cheers
Thanks again Chris for another VERY informative video. It was good to have explained the small tubes between the RSJs. And the explanation behind all the problems those floors threw up. I guess this is the issue with the older properties and I'm glad you explained the reason why you've put the cavity trays where the roof meets the house, I didn't realise you didn't need to put them where the windows are👍🧱
I get box section welded on vertically, size to match the cavity width, the steel supplier clamps and drills them all up before delivery. Make a jig from fascia offcuts to get fixings spaced consistently. Pre-drill to reduce chance of losing the cap off the polytops... we've all done them 😂.
@@brickbybric They are but didn’t take long to be fair, very sandy joints so the bricks came out easier than I anticipated. Also the distance wasn’t too wide.👍
Hi Chris, I have same big step down from added on extension on back door, need to build same kind of step as you have done. Should I run a dpc between step and existing brickwork as the built up step will come above existing dpc. Thanks brilliant channel and workmanship top notch.
This is exactly what I would like to do on a house that I’m thinking of putting an offer on. I know it’s a hard thing to do but would you be able to give me a rough idea how much this would cost? Sorry if this causes any offence.
@@ianfillingham2438 initial estimate £13,500 but they asked for more work to be done and that pushed up the price but it was a bit of a wrangle at the end..I didn’t get all the money back but that’s the trade! It nearly doubled in price!!
Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s difficult to know how much to offer when you know that you want to do some work on it but don’t want to put an insulting offer forward.
Lovey job as ever Chris .
That floor was grim , I’ve seen some shite but never that bad .
At Least no bloody wind posts to complicate this one 🙄🧱👍🏽

Great job Chris . Top builder who does a job properly. One of the best on RUclips it’s a pity you don’t post your work more often 👍

a bit of a palaver Chris.

Nice job Chris. How did you insulate that small bit of pitched roof? Was it PIR between rafters, PIR overboarding, vapour barrier, plasterboard?
@@plummetplum yes, all up to standards, also pink plaster boards over the RSJs
