- Drivelapse video of US-95 and Interstate 15 heading south from the western edge of the city all of the way to the southern edge of the city. This dusk view of the highway shows a great view of the Las Vegas strip, particularly from the ramp that links US-95 to I-15 South
That interchange going to the I-15 South is one of the best interchanges I’ve seen
4:19 Project Neon is amazing. I mean, the new ramps help manage traffic as well as the HOV lanes linking I-15 from the south and US 95 from the west.
6:37 Did you see the old car? I think it's a 1967 Ford Mustang
Those might be the largest - and most frequent - LED road signs I have ever seen. Those things were huge, and like every 500 m. Pretty impressive! Las Vegas has a sweet network for the size it is.
those signs are neat. Kind of unfortunately none of the signs were illuminated on either of the drives that I did through Las Vegas. It would have been nice to see them in action.
@@AsphaltPlanet1 good thing you didnt, they are usually only on for major accidents, and thatd have ruined your video
US 95 and I-15 through Las Vegas have great freeway designs. Try to compare those with the QEW/403 concurrency through Burlington and Oakville and compare their wide number of lanes and including HOV lanes.
Great Video! I wish I can film there one day!
I hope you get to -- Vegas is a neat city.
Nice road trip as always, but I have a small question:
How did you manage to come back in Canada before the USA/Canada border closes due to COVID-19 situation?
I returned a few days before covid really became an issue. The border didn't close for several more weeks after I had returned.
@@AsphaltPlanet1 Thanks
What is the moapa Valley like in 2022?
Out of all the cities you’ve driven through, which one do you think has the best freeway system?
that's a harder question that it seems. Off the top of my head, I really like the networks in Dallas, Phoenix and San Diego. But a lot of cities have freeways that I really like to drive in them.
@@AsphaltPlanet1 Yes, there’s only one! You can upload more Vegas videos if possible.
With the smaller amount of rain LV has, I wish they weren't using so many of these dots as discontinued white lanes, I think it puts a stain on an otherwise beautiful road in which they understood the importance of highway aesthetics. It has a lot of potential as it's one of the fastest growing city in USA, I just wonder if these are still making the mistake of splitting communities apart and if the city is over sprawling like Phoenix and Houston.
oh really? i really like the botts dots for lane markings. They used to be really common in California too -- but Caltrans has started phasing them out in recent years because apparently they are confusing to autopilot features in newer cars.
Las Vegas is a large not that large as Los Angeles or New York but a decent size metropolitan area
Reminds me of central expressway in dallas
Western cities have such modern freeway systems
desert cities in particular have great freeway systems.
Yeah they do
How is the wavey on the 95?lol
Bout time 🥶
I know, I'm terrible ;)

Nice! I like the Hwy and Exit signs you made. What camera and editor?
