That young boy at 0.40 singing seannós with total truth and sincerity, lost in time singing like a man who lived a life of very many years and had encountered hardships, sadness, loss, loneliness, and the great happenings of life, This is what seeps into your bones and soul when you are brought up with all the traditions of your people and your area, going back thousands of years, you mean what you say and you say what you mean, You have lived that rich life.

I was there! One of the more memorable Connacht Fleadhs. My sharpest memory that year is that Daniel Day Lewis was there dancing with the locals - drunk as a skunk 😅
