    This is soo cute! My husband and I are in MO and are starting a coffee truck this year. Fingers crossed we are open in May 🤞🏼Once we get in the swing of things we want to add a cart as well. So this was very helpful to see just how easy the setup/takedown can be! I’ve been watching your videos since you were doing pop up events so it’s so cool to see your progress. Thanks again for sharing!! ❤️

    we're a mobile coffee company in Michigan too! (Char'latte Coffee Co) just to let you know, if you take your line out of your water jug and purge your line, you can leave the water pump board outside, no freezing happens for us! if that makes it easier for you 🤷‍♀️. our line is connected to our pitcher rinser so we just put a empty cup over it and push down until it starts spitting to let us know the line is clear, so idk if that part makes a difference but yeah, we've left everything in our garage all winter last year and this year and no issues so far.

    $500 per year in inspection fees and they come out twice!?!? Michigan is crazy! In Indiana it depends on your menu type but for my coffee truck it cost $79 for the year and there is only one inspection.

    How did the cart do with inspections? I want to have a collapseable coffee cart in MO, but I was told that I have to go through health inspections.

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  10 месяцев назад

      Everything heavily depends on your county. In some counties you can serve private events (cater) without being inspected, but in just about every state if you want to serve the general public at markets etc. you will have to go through an inspection.
      Don't be intimidated by them - the health department should send you a list with everything you need to pass! In Michigan carts follow the same inspection process that food trucks do.

    I am in the process of getting my coffee cart running. I am in the process with the health department and it has been a PAIN. Did you have any issues with your coffee cart being wood? The first thing my health department sent over was that wood was not permitted and my entire cart is made of wood and is collapsable.

      Some counties will let you use dish bins and a hot water kettle as a makeshift sink. You just need to make sure they are labeled - wash, rinse, sani and handwashing. It is always required that you also have soap and paper towels by the hand washing station and a bucket to dump your gray water into :)
