Seriously considering this instead of the 1300. Looks better in my opinion, obviously down on horse power, but I’m sure it has enough. Also down on $$$ on the 1300
Even less for the non-GSA. As Kate says at the end "My bladder needs emptying before the tank needs filling." Perhaps a less top-heavy bike might be more fun for those of us who don't need the range? That said, for those who do need the range and are blessed with iron bladders... it seems a really nice bike.
@@GadgetMart Tanks are light but a full tank will change the handling it if's high up. Or Spend much less on the non GSA if you don't need the extra range... Makes more sense than a four-figure sum more on a GSA and only half filling it(!).
Great review Kate, thank you. Looks like a good replacement for a 1250 for those of us finding the 1300 too cramped a riding position. Great to have the luxury of so many choices.
I love the huge tank of my 1200 GSA... It's the humpback, Like riding Moby Dick... I hardly ever put more than six gallons in it, to keep it topped... And if the 50 mile, low fuel warning has come on 👍🏾 Good times have been had..
I owned the 2022 F850 GSA. So top heavy. Always made me anxious in slow tight turns. Traded in for a 2023 R1250 GS after 4,500 miles. Much happier with the lower center of gravity and Boxer engine. Have 18,000 miles on the R1250 GS after 13 months.
The packing list for next time. Platform boots. Open face helmet goggles. Proteins for the weight training. When I go to bike shops I just walk straight past these items so well done for making me watch. I’m not tall and would find roundabouts traffic lights junctions an experience.❤

Kate. Your review is great, wonderful and fun. You always rock a motorcycle well. BMWs are pretty much lightweight, depending on the person's height and build, and comfortable even though the windshield on this bike looks bizarre. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!♥🔥 Love your nails too! 💅

I’m tossing up whether or not to get one of these or a R 1250 GSA, on not a serious off-roader but do like some nice gravel type roads. These look a little more nimble than the GS, and as a 62 year old, nimble sounds appealing.
