I’ve got to say, while I hear your argument it’s funny how I feel exactly the opposite. I don’t have a Pro Max, nor do I want one because I feel as though a phone should be small and unintrusive. Hence I have an iPhone Mini, which is balanced out by the iPad Mini. In addition the Pro Max phones don’t even have access to iPad apps or multitasking features.
I like the mini, mine has cellular & have a VOIP number. Take it with for day trips,appointments. Good enough to see, read, watch & still have phone, text without any WiFi. Have a 14 pro Max but the screen is too small for long reading. The 7Plus was the best phone size compromise IMO. Still fit a pocket, just & more screen to view websites. Understand your needs though
uhmm and i want to buy one, i bought onw in the flee market here in mexico for 7 usd the first ipad mini, and i saw it perfectly to save mangas and artbooks there instead of my tons of screenshots or the mess that is my ipad pro, also to draw outside i go outside to eat a lot so in the 2 hours it takes me to go and return i can work there lol the only thing i still dont know if i will be able to use clip studio in both ipads... if not i would need to use procreate in the mini, i use tabs more than phone so i have the 14 pro and will stuck with it until it dies lol

I'd love pencil support on my iphone. I really miss being able to just jot down events in a calendar on my s23 ultra.
