I’m 38 and when I was a kid I really didn’t like Vince Gill……then I learned what musical talent was and began to love him. Saw him in Jackson, Ms. probably close to around the time this song came out. I was YOUNG but he would sit down and play the CRAP out of his guitar. Finger picking the whole time. Guy’s good and has stood the test of time and shown his character is as good as his musical talent.
I never knew that he played guitar like he did. He left an early impact on me. I recalled that shortly afterwards. His notes 🎶 were in the key of A which is my most favourite beat and try as I may, I still couldn’t get tickets to see him live in concert 🎶 official gentleman indeed though. Always was.
For those of you who are naysayers regarding this not being a country song, who cares? It's a song. A song is just that, a song. You either like it, or not. Vince is one of the best guitarist and entertainers on the planet and he is multi talented. Super nice guy to boot. Lighten up.
One of my favorites,as fun to sing for this red neck as it is to hear. I was a local karaoke vocalist & often chose this song after dark to break the ice & get the joint jumping & back to life.
My boyfriend isn’t a fan of new country but enjoys country food, like chicken drum sticks and such. Whenever I spot him tapping his toes, I get on my knees and thank the Lord! He’s a true blessing to me! ❤️ I love him like crazy too!

Southern accents are beautiful and my dad was from West Virginia where they have alot of twang and I can always feel the presence of my dad's roots, but sadly he lost his accent when he was in the service I don't understand how and why, but he's a southern gentleman. I have memories of my old friends and families from Tennessee , st Augustine, Alabama they're all beautiful, but my dad's people are my favorite accents. Love to West Virginia and to Alabama who I miss so much.

Southern accents are beautiful and my dad was from West Virginia where they have alot of twang and I can always feel the presence of my dad's roots, but sadly he lost his accent when he was in the service I don't understand how and why, but he's a southern gentleman. I have memories of my old friends and families from Tennessee , st Augustine, Alabama they're all beautiful, but my dad's people are my favorite accents. Love to West Virginia and to Alabama who I miss so much.
