Omg, I always wanted to do free motion but had no clue how to use embroidery foot. Your instructions were so so helpful, that I'm subscribing to you from San Antonio, TX 😘😘😘

+Maxine Taylor (Quiltlady) when she said "go up to 6" she meant to turn the tension wheel to level 6. She talks a little more about adjusting tension in her video entitled, "Brother CS 6000i 20 Tension."
I'm going to buy that machine, I've been watching her and she is very informative. I've gotten a lot of information about that sewing machine. Thank You.
I had an older machine for decades but it was experiencing a slow death...couldn't keep it working right even with multiple trips to the sewing machine doctor. I bought CS6000i and _LOVE_ it! It does so much and you get an excellent product for the price. Because this machine came with all sorts of additional feet I have expanded my sewing repertoire...it's the feet's fault. I never would have even tried to experiment with other techniques so much if it weren't for those feet. I recommend this machine highly!
@@peach3611 Yay for you! I know you will enjoy it very much. :) SewingMastery has a great set of vidoes for the machine and they helped me a great deal: Video series on how to use your Brother CS6000i Sewing Machine. sewingmastery.com/brother-cs6000i/
At about 4:15 you said “go up a whole number at least”….I don’t know what that means. It is for the stitches on the back to make them tighter. How do you “go up”?
Could you demonstrate using stitch #43 for stippling? I am interested in that form of quilting and wondering if that stitch can be combined with the free motion quilting foot or not. Thanks!
You do not. The couple of stitches done before she starts to move the fabric is the "backstitch". Since she isn't sewing seams backstitching isn't as important in free motion. If it makes you feel better about not backstitching, start and end your free motion sewing line on the sides of the fabric that will eventually become sewn over.
I keep experiencing an E4 error. I have attached the quilting foot, brought up my bottom thread and set my foot down and when I go to press the pedal to start sewing I get the E4 error which I cannot find a solution for.
1000 thank yous for these short, concise tutorials. I refer to them often. You are a gem! Peace.

Your videos have been overwhelmingly helpful. Thank you sincerely.
She explained that so well. I feel more confident now.
Thank you for sharing this! I just got my free motion foot today and this video was perfect for helping me to get started.

Thanks so much ... your videos are simple and clear ... fabulous!!!
Thank for you video I been learning a lot since I just bought this sewing machine first time use I be watch more of it thank you
This is so helpful! Can you use different stitches with this foot?
I don’t think you can only use straight stitch because you are actually moving the foot to make zig zag, lightning, back and forth stitches.
Do we need to use the same foot for free motion embroidery
Her yelling makes this feel like a QVC commercial lol
These video's for this machine are absolutely fabulous!!!
Have you had problems with the thread pulling out of the needle when you free motion quilt? What have you done to solve the problem?
Que linda máquina. Gracias por tu tutorial
Did this free motion quilting foot come with your Brother cs6000i? If not, which foot did you purchase? Thanks for a great video!
In my case the foot came with the machine.
Having trouble when following line on crib quilt top. When stopping and restart, mess up with uneven stitch.
Wonderful lesson!!!!
Love ❤️ your tutorials!!!!
I just got a fre motion foot and had no idea how to put it on. Thanks!
can I buy this piece on amazon? I lost all the feet for my machine by accident except for the standard sewing foot. 😞
At about 4:15 you said “go up a whole number at least”….I don’t know what that means. It is for the stitches on the back to make them tighter. How do you “go up”?
On that machine right above the Brother name logo there is a white tension dial with numbers on it. Mine sits at 4, which is pretty standard.
What number needle is used for quilting?

My feed dogs dont seem to go down, so I cannot do any free motion,, can you tell me what to do please
How do you increase tension???
When you say to adjust the top tension "go up at least one" what are you talking about, I don't see anything change?

when you said go up to 6 what were you talking about?
Maxine Taylor I

Why dont I have any sound on your videos? The adds have sound.

Your bobbin winder on top is pushed to the right. You have to move it back to the left.
