It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

I witnessed and heard it live in Atlanta Saturday night. It was inspiring and amazing. I just stood there stunned by what I was hearing. Hands down the best version of the national anthem I have ever heard.
You are so lucky. Because I can't stop listening to it. Have seen all the versions, saved them, and I am still amazed. I think its because even if she is a little girl, she sings it with true love in her heart. I seen her almost tear up when she sings it. She understands it and calls it "an important song". You can tell she respects it, and puts all her little heart into it. That resonates with people. People can feel sincerity even in simple things. You are right, its inspiring. I almost tear up myself watching her sing her little heart out for America's anthem, and its flag.

If she is this good at this age think how AMAZING she'll be when she's older!! Like seriously she has an incredibly powerful voice! So Talented, my goodness. She's definitely going to be huge. Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande (and I'm sure others) performed at a stadium setting like that when they were around her age so I have high hopes for this talented, and not to mention adorable, little human :)

Actually, she sang this at six, and in many places during the anthem, sang it even better than in this performance. Just type in "Best National Anthem by a Six Year Old". I dare say, if anyone could ever unite Americans again, it just might be this girl.

(I went back and caught the ref. to Fergy and laughed). At the end of the anthem she did what we call the Whitney. The first time that was ever done was at the Super bowl back. It's never been forgotten because it was so beautiful and stunning. There was no riffing or running which many (not all) American's tend to dislike because it is the anthem after all (cranky American's say it sounds like they're auditioning for American Idon). Having said that she pulled another note higher to that adding that extra cherry on top note. Thanks for the shout out.

My best coucil to you is: get used to it. Kids are singing baby songs anymore.
She was humming the pitch perfectly. She had no ear monitors in her ears to give her the pitch. You didn't match it in your humming demonstration, sorry. I have perfect pitch and I can't turn it off, my ears don't ever take a break from "critique mode." It's really exhausting at times. Love love love your channel, Rebecca! I'm a pretty new subscriber. But I'm sure that she's going to get to meet Christina Aguilera at the concert Malea Emma is going to tonight!

If i would be at her place, there would be nothing coming out of my mouth... i kinda envy little children because of that, they don't care as much about what people think. That sadly already changes in the teen years... But she is going somewhere. I hope when anybody tries to tear her down, she'll remember that. Because she's definitely come further than they ever will.

It's still not flawless but for a seven-year-old, she SLAYED it! Wonderful head voice! The Star-Spangled Banner is already a very hard song and she still came out slaying. It's clear that the aim was to impress, and impress she did...On another note, I think it would have been more charming if she left out the Christina growl and the whistling. That would work better in other songs, IMO.

Hi Rebecca, have you checked out Pocket Rocket Malea Emma's channel. Her covers are amazing. Even from last year and the year before. Yes, this performance was incredible too. Like you said, such power and control. She's did a performance of Radiohead's "Creep" similar to Sarah Geronimo's. And Celine Dion's "I Surrender". Like you said, if she looks after her voice.
