Hi Kristin, my wife and I live in Blagoevgrad, just over the mountain from Bansko. Thank you for highlighting this wonderful little town and since we just moved here in August we look forward to visiting there. Thanks again for the video.
What a great video! I really liked this step-by-step process on how they made the decision to stay in Bansko for the next few months. I think this very helpful for anyone whom is looking to relocate somewhere. Great video!
OK, Kristin. I absolutely loved this episode of your international house hunters. So much more practical, real & personal than the big tv channel show😂. After watching this I would definitely consider a more obscure location in Europe to move. Thank you so very much for the helpful guide and info!!
Great episode - It is awesome to see gay digital nomads. I lived in many countries and moved recently to Bulgaria. I am in love with this country -people, food, and the weather.
What a wonderful video, Kristin! You are really great at your relocation job and did a fantastic job with this couple, do you know how they are doing now? You got right down to the basics with them and are quite knowledgeable about the city, well done!
Wow.! You do a great work..and your skills in it appreciated.! Happy to know more details about you through your introduction. And of course Bulgaria is such an amazing country as far as natural beauty and affordable living are concerned. And people too seem so friendly and helpful. And as usual, you are looking so gorgeous. 💯👍😊. And I wish you A Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄 ❤️
Hi Kristin, Not watching so many videos the last fw months, but caught this one. Always love your style! Thank you! I keep working, but am trying to make it viable to do it from anywhere. I have the $ to do what I want, but while I keep downsizing and spending more time abroad, I have not moved completely to be a digital Nomad. I will get there. Thank yo for your help and guidance. Back to Bali and Spain early next year. Take care! TY
It’s nice to see an older couple. So much travel is driven by younger people and there’s nothing wrong with that but it’s nice to have a model of people who are being adventurous in middle age.
Wow, Kristen, I didn’t realize you worked with people looking for short-term stays, thought it was only permanent relocation and residency! Cool to know! And what great guys; heading off to see their IG and site as well. Bansko has been on my list since you featured it, and this reinforces how wonderful it seems. Happy Holidays! Marijka
Great video! We spent a week in Plovdiv last spring and three nights in Sofia and fell in love with Bulgaria. We wanted to visit Bansko and now I wish we had.
Great choice!!! Bulgaria is a small but a great country to live. My husband and I spent time in Pamporovo, Bulgaria surrounded by the Rhodope Mountains. A sky and hiking area. Gorgeous!!! Thank you for the video.
Thanks Kate! Yes there are some nicer apartments in Bansko now, but at the time many of them looked the same. We only had permission to film those two, but I can do more videos like this in different cities around the world. Would that be helpful?
I was just telling someone the older I get the more the gloomy affects me, I'm 35. Ive been to Mexico twice, that will be my go-to when I have more $$ to escape in the winters LOL.@@djkenny1202
Good analysis => good choice. Eastern Europe is a good place to live. Enjoy healthier food and better air. As somebody who get pollen allergies every summer, I go for coastal areas or humid climate. People who want to live in Europe long term, consider allergies too. Plenty of places have bad allergens: hay, willow, populous etc. Populous don't grow in America or Asia, only in Europe. So be aware.
Oh me oh my oh...Kristin, when was this video actually made...not recently, as it looks like summer, not winter. Was it when you lived in Bansko, years ago? I ask, because of two things-my sense is that rent prices have gone up...just what would those apartments you showed the guys cost today? Also, I heard that Bulgaria is on the verge of entering Schengen Zone status, which sucks, as I always saw it as somewhere to go inbetween 90 limits in SZ, so...what say you?
Hi Rebecca, this video was filmed a couple years ago but affordable properties are still widely available in Bansko and Bulgaria. Although Bulgaria is slated to join the Schengen Zone, it's still a beautiful place to travel and live. :)
Yes, indeed a beautiful place to visit, but not when one is on day 89 of being in the Schengen Zone and seeking somewhere outside of the SZ to go to...sigh

House Hunters International With Kristin! Except this was so much better than the show!
Thanks Kayla! 😉 I was on an old episode of HHI in 2011 and I loved the format.

@laylabono...am confused by your comment-your country is Italia, but they are in Bulgaria, so?

Thank you Mireya M! ! I appreciate your kind words🏔️🇧🇬😊
Y’all are amazing!! Enjoy the time in Bulgaria. 💞
Beautiful town! At those prices, they should look at a few more apartments - maybe something they would like a little better.
thought the same.
Yes there are more but we didn’t have time to film them :)
It looks wonderful. But aren't there other apartments available that might be nicer for a bit more money?

Glad you enjoyed the video! A ski pass in Bansko for one day is 96 lev or $54
