Saw Mayall when Mick Taylor was with him at the Grande. The blues was so new and amazing back then. First got hooked listening to Public Radio when I was 16. They played the Real Deep stuff. I’m 73 now
Peter Green exhibits a direct connection between his hands, heart his fingers and a higher power. Peter's love of the Delta blues lets us feel his pain through his fingertips. The Green Gods music will live on through us forever. RIP Peter Greenbaum
Mayall is an icon and has the longevity but Peter Green was a genius. Wish he could have hung in there longer.
Monumental talent here!! Love love ! ❤🎸
Can't think of a better tone on the guitar than that which Peter Green could evoke during this era. God-gifted with a special talent the likes of which we just don't seem to see anymore.
Peter Green exhibits a direct connection between his heart, head his fingers and a higher power. Peters love of The Delta and Chicago blues gave him a jumping off point to mix with rock and create some of the best blues/rock that is being emulated to this day.
Amen!❤
Peter's my all time favourite May he rest in peace ✌
Peter Green is the BLUES, God give him to us.
peter green is a cool cat
Thanks Dimitris. Excellent work and a great tribute to my favourite musician. What always gets overlooked is Peters vocals. This album was the second time he recorded in a studio. The man is a natural. His phrasing, his timing, his feel, his touch, his tone..all unsurpassed at this point. I read recently in his biography that he hated what Clapton and Cream were doing. He saw it as 'ego' music. All bluster and no soul. When you listen to his vocal and guitar here, you can see where he's coming from. Clapton was a great technician, and without a doubt a great player, but I listen to Peter at this time and there is a world between them.
sublime peter green!!
There is nothing like the John Mayall ~ Peter Green BLUES !!!!! YEAH!!! HEAVEN!!!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷
A Supernatural guitar player.........
Sa is 't mar krekt!!!!
Genius peter green
Lots of very cool pictures of Peter Green with Mayall and with Fleetwood Mac. Wow. The tracks here are cool, too. Peter Green got a lot of bite from his Les Paul and Fender amp.
I don't know why but I prefer John Mayall with Peter Green over every other guitar player even Clapton...
Agreed, most definitely, peace.
Peter had more talent
Definetely Peter Green was the best guitar player John Mayall ever had.
It's because Greeny is the greatest White Blues player ever. 👌
A Hard Road is the best thing Mayall ever did.
Never heard blues played like Peter played it
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
an important part of musical history...the bridge that introduced many of us to music from a previous era...and spawned the next generation....of blues ...but now electric & loud ...that was different
Great tracks featuring a truly great guitarist. I did actually meet him in '68. Well done Dimitris. Nick
What a VIBE👍
Thanks DK. Enjoyed the music and the pictures very much. Great job putting this together.
Fantastic, thanks Dimitris
Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac
Thanks DK, great musicians, great music, great pics. Like 185, C12, V13053. /:-)
Im looking Part 1...exist¿¡
That horn section! 🎷
Thanks Dimitris Koutsiaftis, ευχαριστώ πολύ!!!
Peter Green rules!
By far, the best british covers of black blues. Alex Corner and Mayall promoted all great guys God Greene is killer here. Makes anything Clapton did in Cream pretty weaK. Beck and Page said Green best, . I played pro guitar 50yrs
I seems supernatural ... Peter Green was clearly out of reach in his own league...
Damn
Is that Jeremy Spencer on slide (Riding on the L&N)?
Jeremy Spencer was an addition to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac but he never played with the Bluesbreakers to my knowledge.
@@frankconger8540 Well, I never thought so too but it sure sounds like his style of slide guitar. He's still alive, maybe we'll get an authorized biography someday and find out for sure. One way or another, he was found by Peter who had a genius for fitting talent into his bands.
Please, my friend can't you here this is John Mayall Himself on one of His fancy own-designed and own-decorated legendary 12string guitar on slide. He still plays these special 9string and 12string guitars in concerts live and in studio! Listen to his The Blues Alone album from 1966, where He plays all the instruments Himself with the exeption of the percussions!
@zocsda1328 I love Blues Alone!! . I bought it when I was a young girl, 16, Had a "crush" on Mayall!! I also love Peter Green, miss him, so glad we have his music to keep alive!!💚🎶😘🕯🎶💯🔥
@@deborahbrown6408 Happy to hear another fan loves that (almost obscure) album. I have my older brother's copy still and it's a unique and valuable piece of my Mayall/Blues collection.
Muito loko
I liked him best while he was with John Mayall and not with Fleetwood Mac, although Albatros was a classic and probably that Band's 1st big hit?
Green is God!
👍🎸🥁🎙🇧🇷🇧🇷
Fuckin A
Greeny, the greatest White Blues guitarist ever, second Mike Bloomfield. Something about those Jewish players. Kind of obvious when you think about it.👍😁
Nailed it.
Greenie WAS God .....
I saw John Mayall in Helsinki. It was awful. Out of tune. Sound from hell. So sorry for my one-time hero.
