@Mugunth and any light speed interstellar travelers cannot com to earth in a reasonable amount of time if they are outside of our star cluster in our sector, in our galaxy. Any of these aliens in 99% of our galaxy cannot come to us unless they have some physics breaking technology, but then like you said, no reason to come here or communicate. Probably don't even know we exist, especially aliens in other galaxies.

@@Yatukih_001 Here we have an example of someone suffering from the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Objects in the solar system aren't commonly detected with images therefore your photoshop nonsense falls flat, we use more precise forms of tracking and detection. Catch-up young man.

The Solar system is inbarking many journeys, in ways sci-fi tv show episodes could ever, Oumuamua just made us realise how swift of a eye blink, our (solar) vessel, could just... change.

If interested take a look at Battleship shaped craft. It's not an artists impression but the real thing. Video taken In Hartlepool UK on 27.05.19 at 1.20am. I accidentally caught this elongated craft on video deep among the stars in the area of the Hercules constellation. I just happened to point my camera in the right place and at the right time. Billion to one chance.

A qustion with a possible easy answer. While the comet reached the sun, parts of it start breaking lose due to the high gravity pull from the sun, after leaving the original orbit it pulled apart and some kind of gas (helium or else) explored and gave the comet some acceleration or trejectory chance.
It doesn't have to be rocket science every time, if something hits your bike, car, whatever while you drive, it can also change path.
Well I thank astronomers are intelligent enough to come up with those reasons too.

All close ups of Oumuamua are artists conceptions, many of the images of 67P are real. Media really need to start labeling which images are actually real and not casually mix real and animations making people think they are all animations.

There are 2 types of pure water on Earth. 1 is quite rare and contained mostly in volcanoes or hot springs.

@@Darren51283 hydrogen has different isotopes; there's "ordinary" hydrogen consisting of just a proton, deuterium which has a proton and neutron, and tritium which has a proton and 2 neutrons. Just like interstellar gas, comets have a larger fraction of deuterated water (D2O, HDO) to H2O, compared to what is seen on Earth. That can tell you something about the environment in which a comet was formed.
And I believe deuterated water (heavy water) is perfectly safe to drink, just a bit expensive.

Professor Avi Loeb puts forth a very persuasive and compelling argument that Oumuamua was indeed of extraterrestrial origin in his new book, Extraterrestrial. It's one of the greatest pieces of work I've read on this subject and I've read hundreds of books. I suggest you read it very slowing to digest all of his arguments. I've been savoring every word of it.

Either a willful acceleration or it got slingshot by the gravity of something we haven't seen yet. As a species we only know of a small fraction of a very small fraction of the objects in our own solar system.
If they know the acceleration at a few points it should be possible to work out where that thing is. It's how they discovered Neptune.
It can look threatening but it really looks like a time capsule

The Oort Cloud is purely theoretical and it goes to show that with a interstellar object barreling through the "Oort Cloud" and didn't create new comets that it's more theory than fact.

I am quite sure that there are other life forms outside our solar system. I imagine them looking at the stars (our sun included) thinking if those stars have planets revolving around them that supports life and also thinking if there are any other life forms out there the same way we think about them🥺.
These other planets will be either very advanced they know all about us already or we are further advanced than them.

You get gas release when they are closer to the sun, not when they are getting farther away.
Btw, it had an unusually high albedo (super shiny), the cigar is just one of the hypothetized shapes, the other possible shape is a freaking mirrored disk, aka. a solar sail.
Yeah I was disappointed the video did not address that, although the video is less about Omuamua than it is about rationalising an intercept mission.
I think i might know what Aumuamua is. I was watching a Yellowstone volcano documentary last night, and they described it like a 1500ft x 50 mile long cork poping out of a bottle. And it would shoot out far into space at incredible speeds.
They even said it would look like a giant lightsaber shooting out of our planet and going as high as we can see.
I believe This could be the remnants from a hyper Volcano from another planet billions of years ago.
It sucks that space news rarely gets talked about unless aliens are involved. I get the sexy headlines and the need to generate hits but there are some really exciting things to talk about in space outside of aliens lol

Electro-static gravitation could be a solution, even ignoring the Alcubierre Drive possibility. Basically, it had been proven that a large enough electrical charge negates gravity. So, your movement would be unaffected by gravity. It is likely this also applies to the pushback from the Higgs Boson Field that causes energy requirements to increase with velocity.
Now all that’s left is the question of whether the speed of light is limited by the universe and that’s what causes wavelengths to basically bunch up, or if the wavelength is merely determined by what kind of particle is annihilated and there is no limit on how quickly an object can occupy a space.
Or, regardless of the answer, the energy field of the ship in question I’m describing might act as preparation for the ship’s approach and thereby make the speed of space’s expansion irrelevant. This would make going any speed faster than light very easy, and when your speed becomes too much for the energy field to prepare space for it, you just need to expand the range of the energy field to compensate.

I think it's unlikely that Omoumoua was a spacecraft.
1- Why would some aliens send a craft to visit a star just for a few days then leave?
2- The object did not display behavior that's unmistakable for a craft, like extreme maneuvers or hopping around between several planets. 99% of its movement was identical to what you'd expect from a natural object.
3- The object followed the sun's gravity, and got thrown back into interstellar space, which is known as a slingshot and happens all the time with natural objects. Sometimes we also use this method to travel in space. So ok, let's assume this alien craft simply wanted to use our sun's gravity to perform a slingshot, what are the odds that a civilization millions of years ahead of us (in terms of tech) would still use slingshots to travel in space?? You would only use this method to save on fuel, so advanced aliens still have issues with fuel????

You don't know how long the object exist for or how long it's mission last. Slingshots could ensure continuous use for eons.
1-Data collection methods more advanced than ours. "We have been scanned".
2-That 1% could just be error in our instruments or... actual acceleration. I'd expect better but perhaps their solar sails are old and worn out... LOL!
3-Other civilizations might be conservation oriented by their very nature. They could have developed a power system but gravity and solar sails were enough IE they weren't in a hurry.

There are not "solar systems", there are planetary systems (and star systems, but those are an entirely different thing). The same as there are not "coliseums", but amphitheaters. Solar System and Coliseum are proper nouns given to an specific planetary system (ours) and to the biggest amphitheater in Rome.

One thing is sure: 1I/2017 U1 is neither an asteroid nor a comet. The astronomical community should finally admit that Loeb's et al. model best describes what we've observed.

I would be interested in reading your White Paper on the subject.
Immediate launch dates could make the difference. Wait until then hurriedly make/create craft under pressure, doesn’t lead to best practices, safety wise but also mistakes. Keeping one on the launch pad, brilliant idea. Even if never used. Oh, the secret projects will have to wait.
