Grandparents used to take us kids here every other weekend. Grandpa was famous for 3 plates and then dessert. Ahh the good ole days of leaving stuffed and fighting over the poop bucket at home! Memories.

The last time I went to the old country buffet was in 2008 before Halloween or something with my mom and family. I miss old country buffet 😭

I miss the chicken.
I almost feel like crying right now... seeing something normal like an old sit down restaurant like this.
Part of me is ok that Buffets will be less prevalent, I was always a little paranoid who touched the forks and dishing spoons before myself.
In the other hand, I DO miss sit down places myself. I had a mexican food restaurant I loved going to that I haven't been to pre-covid and it makes me sad not being able to go there any more.
The chicken was good. Miss it too!! 🍗🍗🍗

as of november 28, 2021 ALL old country buffets, hometown buffets, and ryans, have all shut down due to the companys liquidating and selling off all their locations to auctioneers

Sadly, all Old Country Buffets including this location is no longer in business. Most of the places got auctioned off and this one as well.

I miss OCB...especially the one in 72nd street Omaha. They had BBQ beef ribs on Thursdays that was da bomb diggity.

Me Too. I Miss Ponderosa And Old Country Buffet I Wish They Were Still Around In The United States. Golden Corral Is Still Around I'm Glad. But Ponderosa And Old County Buffet Closed Down Because Of Financial Reasons.
Apart from the fact every buffet will serve some form of slop. The food looks decent for a cheap, sit down feed.
Having been to OCB many times during the 90s to 2000s, this does bring back a lot of memories for me, especially for their breakfast with the family. Probably nostalgia, but Golden Corral didn't quite do it for me as much like this place did. I def miss it and sadly, I don't think buffets will ever be like what they used to be in terms of value either.

Sadly ALL of them have closed down now, due to the new American diet and fitness craze. I’m glad too to have made a video of it..historical.
My local one closed down a few years ago. Most of the buffets where I am are Asian ones now. American buffets are rare, sadly.

These no longer exist around me. The one that was around me got turned to a Chinese buffet and the other ones just shut down🤷🏿♂️
I went to it once after they turned it into Chinese buffet, and I saw a guy coughing in front of the chicken wontons. I never came back again.

It was in Chicago at the address here. 6560 West Fullerton It was the last remaining few OCB’s sadly, and it’s now permanently closed. I’m glad to have experienced it one last time.
