Parents are to be respected. In anyway we must obey n love them. They are our Jannah. Iam taking care of my 95 bed ridden father. Iam doing my best to please him. But still its not enough. I pray for hs good health love him so much talk to him in a way that he will not feel alone. Taking care of all his needs.
Parents cannot abuse their kids either, allah said to be just and merciful to your kids, and allah said everyone has a right to defend themselves and fight back when getting attacked. Of course parents can scold children for not praying or what not, but many parents abuse and attack their kids for bad reasons like getting bad grades in school, or something unrelated to islam, so u cant scold kids for anything except only if they dont follow islam. Parents also beat their kids and draw blood when kids dont get good grades.

I am honest, I have watched Islamic lectures about love and kindness for parents for a couple of times and when I started watching a reality show from my sister’s laptop, I noticed little children swearing at their mothers and in some cases, they do not like obeying their mothers thinking that these will cause harm for them.

We must respect our parents, however, it goes both ways, as the Sheikh here also explained. Parents are also supposed to raise their kids properly by giving them their complete rights. I don't see many parents do this these days, including my own parents. My father was psychologically abusive and didn't give us the opportunities he could have, he also fell short of raising us with Islam properly because he was not a complete practicing Muslim himself. Same with my mother, who gave more importance to my brothers, and me being a daughter; my place was after them. One of my brothers constantly bullies me, even to this day, his attitude isn't right, but my mother does nothing. So, my parents have been a big disappointment for me. I just look at myself and wonder what kind of a daughter have I been to them since we are supposed to self-reflect first. May Allah forgive us all for falling short of our duties. Aameen!

So sorry and saddening to hear this. Please help yourself and protect your self from all abuse. This is one of your basic human rights. If your parents are not willing to help get an intermediary involved. Sometimes parents being the adults are not behaving properly themselves maybe due to some past trauma or abuse from a spouse or are suffering with their own demons. I hope your situation is resolved quickly InshaAllah .. Otherwise learn some self defense so no one can ever harm you again!!! All the best sis
If they get mad when you do wrong. They arent to blame, ive seen many people saying their parents are abusive when their parents are getting mad at them when they commit wrong deeds. It truly makes sense so you shouldnt get all emotional about it.

What goes around comes round treat your parents bad your own child in the future will treat you in a worser way
In most of the hadith it is said that in Quran each letter consists of 10 rewards like for example, if you recite Alif, Laam, Meem then you will get total reward of 30. So isn't it amazing !!!! And during Ramadan it is said that each letter contains of 70 rewards so in Ramadan the reward of each letter increases from 10 to 70. So I request you all to stop wasting time and start reading Quran especially in the month of Ramadan.

Please pray for me. I’m at the lowest point of my Iman. I don’t pray my belief is very weak. Sometimes I do feel from inside that Allah Swt is calling me, but physically I don’t do anything. I don’t know what is happening to me. I’m scared. I’m committing sins. I’m ashamed of it and I’m asking Allah SWt for forgiveness but my belief is very weak. Bad thoughts have occupied my mind and I think I’m a bad Muslim. I’m holding on to just the weakest of my belief…the only thing I know right now is regardless of all my sins… I belief in Allah SWT. Please pray for me. I used to be a very strong Muslim. My iman used to be so strong before covid..if I have died at that time…I think my good deeds were higher that my bad deeds…my dua was sincere and I used to ask Allah for forgiveness all the time. I don’t know what changed me. I need your dua..please pray that I restore my iman.
Salaam. Same here. It happened after the death of 2 little sons. Just hold on. Even I think it would have been better if I had died earlier when I was a better Muslim. Just protect what Imaan you got. At least you have some. Look around...Most people don't care about Imaan. Shaytaan is doing his best on you. Listen to Ruqyah Shariyah. It helps me a lot. Take baby steps back to Islaam. Try to follow Allah's commands over your own knowledge and people's suggestions. The world grows worse with each passing day. Islam is leaving this world and the Dajjal is coming. Make friends with people with better Iman than you. Trust me. Religious friends can make miracles happen to your Imaan. Don't stay alone and empty. Shaytaan targets you better that way. If you are an youtube addict like me, go to comments of religious videos and answer kuffars who speak bad about Islaam. Don't do any religious acts long enough to get bored. Try to give charity. It's very helpful in erasing sins. If you can't lessen your sins, then do more good deeds to erase those sins. Don't worry. Allah doesn't care about your good deeds more than your struggle to be better than your current situation. That's your Jihaad. May Allah make you a Shaheed in His way. Allah wants you to commit sins and repent. Our father Adam (AS) did sin in Jannah, then what about us in this filthy duniyah. Embrace yourself...good and bad and all. If you can't make yourself pray 5 times then don't kill yourself. Just start by praying once a day any one prayer. Then see the miracle work itself and in no time Allah will make you pray 5 times daily including Fajr, InShaAllah. Remeber, if you walk to Allah, He comes to you running. Allah Hafiz

Ya sheikh, I treat my father very bad and I neglected him even when he’s on his death bed, I did not have the chance ask forgiveness from my father, yes, there are many ants coming out from his mouth. I thought it was a normal thing happen to dead people. My father passed away on the last Friday. What should I do?

My uncle also beat my grandmother one time he pushed her so hard that she fell and broke her ankle and other injuries my father is the only son who care for her and provide her everything yet she never said anything against her evil son instead she loves him more than she love my father
If you think about it, the ants actually make sense as a form of punishment.
He physically abused his own mother his whole life, SO Allah Punished him with an Animal whose social structure revolves around caring for and obeying their mother.
You think you are strong just because you're able to abuse your mother? Ants are even stronger because they obey their mother, the Queen.
Who knows? For all we know, there may be a person out there who abused their own mother to such an extent, that they were punished with bees instead of ants. Audubillah.

Salam, I have major doubts about niyyah, I try to make intention in my head/mind, usually on the lines of "reading my Isha namaz 4 farz/sunnah" in my MIND, however through out my namaz literally after every rakat I pause and repeat the intention in my head then go into ruku, and I do this every rakat sometimes I pause for a very long time trying to form the intention in my head/mind before going into ruku/sadja, I really need advice, some scholars say it's a bidah to utter the intention some say not, what is the most correct view, I find it difficult to concentrate And make the intention in my mind, that at this point I'm thinking of uttering the intention, intention is an important matter, and something u require, and I would much appreciate if I could get a clear answer, jazakAllah

What if one of your parent mistreated you and is abusive more than caring and helpful. Won’t the psychology of the child change and become distant from that parent? What’s one to do in that situation.
