I know, everyone says "best start" or "perfect start" but after 100+ days in 1.20 Minecraft hardcore, I feel like it really IS my best start to any world ever.

Yes, I retired the old world as well as my Twitch world, too. It was just tooooo hard having both worlds at once and I couldn't decide between them. With the 1.20 update, I knew now was a great time to start something new and bring you some new hardcore Minecraft content.
In today's first 100 days episode, we're going to accomplish A LOT: sheep / wool farm, iron farm, villager breeder, villager trading hall, creeper farm, kill the Ender Dragon, go End raiding, and build my base - a Japanese pagoda and 2 dragon statues. ALL in just over 100 days in Minecraft.

* The seed is 700077540. I don't normally give them out this early in a playthrough but I've beaten the dragon so not too much can be spoiled now. I'll find the trims with or without help. haha

Rad this was utterly fantastic. The build is beyond beautiful, the progress in 100 days is bananas, and the editing perfectly tells the story. Not one single moment of drag at all. Comedic timing on point as always. So excited to see how this one evolves. Not only my favorite build, hands down, but also my favorite episode.
Thanks so much! I've definitely NEVER started a world this "perfectly" before ... I know "my best start" or "perfect start" is SUPER overused but I couldn't have done one more thing in 100 days, even moving the tree chopping to the creeper AFK spot ... I will continue and enjoy every second of this world and my beautiful new base.

i love the combination of all the farms for early game efficiency. that creeper on the chest made me jump so glad it was not as bad as it could of been. the Pagoda looks amazing I love it and its definitely one of my favorite builds from you
I was shocked when I saw that in the 1.17 and 1.19 series I beat the dragon in Ep 4 and 6 ... and today was doing it on EP 1 and it was mostly an afterthought. lol
You weren’t wrong when you said this would be the best start to a world ever. 100 days in & you’ve already done so much. I know how hard you’ve been working to improve your building skills & you can absolutely see that hard work paying off. That build is amazing & beautiful. Can’t wait to see what this world will become overtime & see what you build next!

its awesome to see someone make a hardcore series that isnt focused on keeping the viewers attention or being "overstimulating" to the people who binge watch them.
Yeahhhh I just want to play Minecraft, educate people on it a bit, get people interested and give them something fun to watch and listen to. :) I occasionally "boom" the TNT but not over the top every 3 seconds.

I agree Pumats ... I wanted to do that city so much but it's ... I bit off WAY more than I can build in a reasonable time ... it just kept making me sad to look at that I wasn't making enough progress. Even after another 50 hrs of work it looked like nothing had been done, really. THIS world's gonna bang with right-sized projects! :D

Thanks!! Yeah, this is (almost definitely) my best build ever. The dragons give me a nice, grand entry and I do love how the dark oak & cherry work. The slowmo harvesting had me cracking up as it's there for just ABSOLUTELY no reason just to be funny. And THREE near deaths is a lot for one episode! :D

I am new here. Great Video. Loved it. The cuts are great and the pacing is well done so you don't get bored. And your Build looks really nice. Only thing i didn't like was the music during the timelapse scenes. But that could just be my Personal Taste
Thanks and welcome in! 108 days and 30 hours or so in 24 minutes makes one VERY fast paced video! haha Did you not like the rock as much or the lighter music? I think music is very personal so I try to vary what I use. Sometimes more rock, sometimes more edm & hiphop, sometimes more laid back & relaxed ...
@@RadicalElder well i don't like the more edm stuff for example the first timelapse at 2:08. The timelapse when you built the creeper farm was really nice though. So yeah probably just my taste in music as i like the more relaxed stuff more. i also think it fits better for a peaceful and relaxed game like minecraft
You did'nt do a single think I would have done otherwise. Our early game strategy is freakisly the exact same!
ha that's interesting! How I play the early game really depends what I'm trying to do. I generally hit the open ocean for some shipwrecks before I do ANYTHING but there wasn't really ocean nearby so I kinda just went with this idea for the ep.

Well done. A couple of close calls. What I've noticed from a lot of Minecraft Content Creators having the lack of cats, especially for those who tend to die or have had close encounters with creepers. I def. look forward to what you have next.
Better a couple close calls than a boring, way too easy start, right? :) I have cats but they're in the creeper farm ... maybe I should get a few more. haha

The dragons at the end were a cool touch. should see if crimson wood looks any better or worse.
Thanks! The original design was prismarine which I don't have yet and Dame suggested the warped replacement but I'll have to see what happens as I get more of this area built - crimson could match the cherry & dark oak a bit more so I'll see if it looks better matchy or more contrasty. Thanks!

The best Flash….I’m really aging myself here with this but here goes….is Sam J. Jones!!! "mine diamonds" Not in 1.18+ for me. I mean a few here and there and yes I have ways for later ... but nah I don't really "mine" anymore for much. Blocks, iron & coal early game ... meh. There's no mining in Minecraft! haha

I’ve started playing this for the first time since it first came out. I didn’t even know you could do 90% of this stuff. I felt proud of my little wooden shack but now I realise I age no idea what I’m doing
If you have only just started playing I would maybe learn from but not compare yourself to people who play for a living. haha Being "pretty good" at Minecraft is my job but hopefully I do some stuff you can learn from and it keeps you inspired to keep going! :)

Ender dragon really needs a change or a new mechanic lol. It’s insane that killing the final boss is a footnote in any playthrough that you can achieve in a few hours

This is so true - I do feel like the "final boss is a footnote" as you said. The dragon is like ... a small speedbump rather than a roadblock.

Yeah, if you look at the last vid or two from my previous series I had Minihud days counter on. I may go back to something like that but people never understand when you want to edit something out of order. I may chop cherry trees 4 times but in between each go do something else. Maybe on the 2nd one I get an advancement or find a cave and explore ... if I want to put those out of order to put all the cherry together it's always "why is he on level X now? wasn't he just on Y?" haha Too many "youtube hardcore" worlds these days and I don't blame people at all for their scepticism but it does limit my editing and creative ability if everything has to be STRICTLY in time order.

Goddamn the house looks cool. I've never understood how people can be so good at building in minecraft to not even need guides and make builds look AMAZING. Even more on big projects. Without a step by step guide I can't make more than a basic square house
Did a very similar japanese building way back in 1.16 from a step by step tutorial and it took me ab 20-25 hours of just building and gathering materials and that was with fully enchanted tools and a gatherer friend to help me out. It's crazy seeing you finish so much in so little
It's been a long ... long process to get to this point for me. haha I have always been "dig a hole in the side of a mountain, throw a bed inside, home done" kind of player. But that works for live streams, then you go build a farm, you run the farm, chat goes "woohoo" and you're done. For RUclips, Instagram, etc. you really need to be able to build ... so I've spent the last few months GRINDING to learn - like ... every day, in creative, every day talk to my pro builder friends about what I should try or do or think ... every day looking at pros on instagram doing what I wanna be able to do. Yours may have taken 20-25 hrs but mine has taken 4 years. haha

Thanks, I have no issues with it blowing out in time a bit but I really just wanted to tell the most concise version of the story that I could and we ended up here. :D My 1000 Days from the previous video was 5 hrs so I know all about megalong vids though. haha

Ope! I literally just answered this in a different comment and thought I mistyped so I'll paste that here, too:
Iif you look at the last vid or two from my previous series I had Minihud days counter on. I may go back to something like that but people never understand when you want to edit something out of order. I may chop cherry trees 4 times but in between each go do something else. Maybe on the 2nd one I get an advancement or find a cave and explore ... if I want to put those out of order to put all the cherry together it's always "why is he on level X now? wasn't he just on Y?" haha Too many "youtube hardcore" worlds these days and I don't blame people at all for their scepticism but it does limit my editing and creative ability if everything has to be STRICTLY in time order.

Honestly didn't expect how over powered villager manipulation is, it's like you skipped hours of playing for items and resources. Props to you!
Villagers are SUPER OP if you want them to be. Sometimes I don't bother making it quite so obvious but this playthrough is to get as OP as possible so I didn't waste any time messing around. haha You can get almost anything from villies from full diamond gear & tools, enchants, weapons, food, redstone, even XP. They're pretty nuts!

Thank you so much!! I've played quite a lot of MC and yeah I think I'm a bit of an optimiser/organised brain. So in my head I've gotten to know the "best order" for me to do things. Knowing what comes next with basically zero delay has helped me really get this world up and running FAST. Wait til you see what I've done for 300 days. haha
I’m on day 63 of mine. Spawned next to cherry biome, live on mooshroom island which I found on day 3. The most painful part of any world is transporting multiple villagers across mountains
Villagers are a pain but if it's long distance I go by nether roof. haha

Hey, such a nice and enjoyable video to start off with this new hardcore series. I wanted to ask if there's any chance that you could share with us the designs or the schematics you have followed to build the Pagoda and the dragons. The final result of your building was super cool and I would like to replicate it on my own hardcore world. Keep up with this series, hands down 👍
A lot of people have asked about the build so I may do some kind of build tutorial on it. The dragons aren't mine to share as Dame built those but you can get the idea as I walk around the world and play, especially on my streams in the future. It's not super complicated so you can get it. :)
