Very nice and emotional! I do not care what people say about his weight in the last years. The man had serious health problems. For me was a very talented and generous person with a gold voice. Maybe he needed a stronger personality to survive in the horrible show business. He was boxed to a certain image and felt trapped. People do not like see the stars getting old. Elvis knew that and was insecure about his future. His songs and movies will be never forgotten. I love him!

I always wanted to know what was in these books which were too expensive for me and it's great to discover them. If you could do the others it would be the holy grail. It's very pleasant the way you leaf through the book to help us discover it.
    Many thanks for your idea.

Thank you very much for sharing your lovely books. It’s so sad that Tom Parker treated Elvis like a slave. Only thought about himself and money to gamble. Elvis was very sick but Parker didn’t care. I wish that Elvis had got rid of Parker. He just did what Parker said. He wanted so much to tour abroad. When I think about it that makes me feel so sad. Elvis will never be forgotten ❤️❤️❤️

I can relate to your comments about getting upset seeing photos of Elvis in the last year of his life, knowing he would be dead too soon😢. If you watch my video of me talking about seeing Elvis in person, you will see me near the end nearly in tears as I talk about how his death affected me. When I saw him on stage in November 1976, he was so alive, so vibrant, we would never have believed he would die less than 12 months later. He was NOT fat EVER. At 40+ years of age, he was like all of us, putting on extra kilos if you don't watch your diet, and Elvis certainly didn't😮. I am not keen on that sundial suit, but apparently it was one of the last ones to be made that still fitted him.

All beautiful photos. At 17:02, where Elvis sits at the piano, you can see that he was still a very beautiful person in 1976/1977. Completely different from what CBS recorded.

I just stumbled upon your channel and am watching the Elvis dukes 76-77 which I didn’t know existed I have always been a fan of Elvis I was born in 1980 and I would dance in my play pen to RETURN TO SENDER according to my mother ❤ these books are amazing I love seeing him he was a gift from god to all of us and people were so cruel to him abt his appearance FAT AND 40 and it’s disgusting but now that he is gone I see nothing but loving comments I have always loved him always will the reason he looked better sometimes and worse is because of the issues he had with his colon a twisted colon which was a genetic defect from his mothers side and Lisa Marie also had the same issues so when he was able to empty his colon he looked slimmer he was very much aware of his appearance and actually had a speech prepared to read during his next shows that he was supposed to start on 8/16/77 explaining all his medical problems and why he looked the way that he did. When I heard that I cried he had given everything to his fans and still thought he needed to explain what his medical problems where. If anyone calls themselves a true fan they would never expect or want any explanation if his personal medical problems he did not owe us fans anything he gave us enough joy and love in his life and was happy to do anything he could for anyone. He knew he was sick he did not want to leave Graceland because people would say nasty things abt his appearance but u can actually see in his movies that he is bloated at certain times and then would look slimmer he had a genetic problem which was very painful so he was taken more pain killers not to mention his personal problems with colonel in regards to money and yes he always talked abt performing overseas but could not because the colonel was not in America-legally and was also stealing a great amount of money from Elvis and in 1977 he had made plans to go and get himself better after the shows that were supposed to start on august 16th 1977 but unfortunately did not get the chance, Also issues with Priscilla which I won’t share my opinion on that but not a fan of her. I will say that he did beg her to come back 3 weeks before he died because he wanted his family back and she said NO !! Poor Lisa Marie how devastating to lose him at 9 years old as someone who lost my father at 16 and the devastation was unimaginable she was left with a mother who threw her out at 17 and would was very much concerned with her dating life not her mothering life. Lisa Marie like most little girls adored her father and loved him with her entire soul and that never changed threw out her life and tight her children abt her father and what he meant to her pure true love ❤ hopefully they are back together again in heaven🙏🏼 they both Deserve that….that’s the way it should have always been Gift from God that gave us his all right to the end and that should be praised and thankful for that because 42 years was not enough time for Lisa Marie and his fans. And if had taken time to get help with his medical problems no true fan would have against that stop performing take you daughter and go take care of your self for Lisa Marie but he was forced to perform these shows because the colonial had embezzled millions from Elvis. He actually thought he would be forgotten after death how wrong he was….. I cherish him and always will …not only because he could sing or his looks but he was caring loving to STRANGERS buying cars for people that r in Cadillac dealer he did so many wonderful things for people with out ever looking for anything in return……that is a very rare quality to find in a person and that in its self is enough for me to have the utmost respect for him as a human and the greatest performer ever. How could this man think he would not be remembered 💔 I hope he can see how people love him to this day 🙏🏼💎🇺🇸❤️✝️ Thank you for sharing these great books with us 💎

Fame destroyed him fame destroyed Whitney Houston which Elvis and Whitney had very much in common Whitney’s mother sang with Elvis in the sweet inspirations Whitney also had a god given talent but she was also haunted by fame and it sent her down the wrong path when you become 1 of these people that are larger then life and everywhere u look there is another magazine talking badly abt you this is what destroys these people that are tortured by FAME eventually it takes it toll and they look for escapes because your life is no longer yours. When these people are alive people will torture them even if they are on a good track and when your fans are saying horrible things abt your it hurts……they are human we should just be grateful for the time and gifts they gave us in their short lives. RIP ELVIS AND WHITNEY ❤🙏🏼💎

There's something that I'm curious about... at 18:46 in the video, who's the guy standing next to him with the grey hair? He looks a bit like Elvis and I've seen him in a few of the videos that were shot just before Elvis would go on stage. He would sometimes be in a red varsity type jacket.

Really enjoyed the book, a lot of great photos. But ref elvis having to work so hard with so many tours don't forget that Parker was taking 50% of what elvis earned, (unheard of, normally it would be 15%) of the 50% of the money that elvis made he had to pay all the tax, the musicians, the transport, hotels etc, he had so much pressure in his shoulders that he had no choice but to tour, while Parker would gamble the whole 50% of what he took in the casino's.
While at the las Vegas hilton Elvis was doing two shows a night and three shows on a Saturday and Sunday, what kind of manager would put his star through that. I know people will defend Parker but it shows what sort of a man he was when on the morning of the funeral he asked Vernon to sign some forms, being distraught Vernon didn't read through them, Parker had just got Vernon to sign away the the rights to elvis's voice, likeness and signature, he took control of everything, all to make more money for himself, elvis's didn't stand a chance which is really upsetting, such a fantastic talent that wanted to tour the world but we all know why that never happened, Parker again, as Lamar Fike said in an interview Parker was a degenerate gambler who worked elvis's to death.

In regards to the sundial suit he only wore that and the Indian feather suit in 1977 and he would study different cultures and there beliefs and I believe it’s an Aztec sundial which was a symbol of COMING FULL CIRCLE IN HIS LIFE. He started at county fairs with 3 band members to playing major venues with an orchestra behind him and the Hawaii concert which over a billion people all over the world watched. So he felt that he had done everything with his career that was possible and came full circle in his life and where do u go from there ?? He always said that he knew he would not live a long life and all his suits had special meanings and symbols and he had made it…..He had come full circle….way to soon

Understand me well, I am a huge Elvis fan since 1977 and I am now almost 60 years old. I own a great amount of CD's, DVD's and books. I visited Memphis in 1997, 2002 and 2007. But I am a realistic fan. And it is realistic to say that he had a huge addiction problem. And I must say he doesn't look healthy at all in 76/77 as you stated. We don't agree as you stated he looks good and healthy. The health issues came because of his abuse, unhealthy lifestyle. I spoke to Joe Esposito and he said to me : "He just loved the drugs/pills, he liked to get high or to get down". Drugs, the reason he died that young. Sadly, it is true. 15:53

I love these videos as I'm considering investing in these books but they're a lot of money and it's hard to get an idea of what you get for the money from the website. This one looks amazing.
I think the earlier volumes from the 50s and 60s have less unseen photos and are mostly made up of stock photos that are widely available. It seems more photos were taken of Elvis in the latter years as more people had access those disposable cameras they'd get before the show so we get more candid images in these years

I really wanted vol. 2 more than all of them and it took me 8 months of daily checking on eBay and the Internet to find it at a very reasonable price and I'm glad I recently got it. They are definitely the best books ever on Elvis and I slowly want to collect them all.

Shows his declining health , I had a sean shaver book before bought it in 1993 , very nice coffee table book but there were lots of photos from this era where he looked awful especially in 1977 . I prefer to avoid this period of his life as it only reinforces the fact he died from his lifestyle and punishing tours he needed to do to keep himself financially afloat .

He wore the Sundial suit a lot because as he began to put on more weight he became limited in the number of jumpsuits he could rotate so began to wear the same jumpsuits successively. The Sundial was designed in such a way that he could open up the seams as he grew bigger.
His cousin Billy Smith explained the reasoning for this a few months back
