Hi! Is it possible to make a live streaming gig and mix videosync with Ableton with the actual live video streamings? Like have the opacity layered with the live streaming and make crossfades in realtime? I'm just thinking about possibilities. Curious. This is brilliant what you have created! Thank you.
Hi Carola! Thank you for the kind words! Short answer; Yes! Long answer: Videosync can send out its master output over Syphon, allowing for other applications to receive Videosync's output. For example, OBS can receive Syphon from other applications, and OBS can be used to do live video streaming. It's even possible to use Live's Return channels as separate Syphon outputs, making it possible to receive multiple distinct video streams from Videosync in OBS. We have an article on our blog talking about this in detail: blog.showsync.com/online-audiovisual-performing-with-ableton-live/
@@Showsync: Thank you! I am all excited since I won Videosync on Ableton's page yesterday and I didn't even read properly that it was a competition. I just got all excited about Videosync and tried out the free trial immediately. I'm a newbie to videos and the graphical part, but it is how I see music. In 3D when I compose.... Learning here now.
Is it possible to use this live ive got a project behind some DJ decks and would to have visuals on it that react to the music. If this something you can do with this software. And just have a load of preset effects and visuals on random?
i see this only works on mac. i'm thinking about buying one. what's the cheapest mac i should get to use videosync comfortably during live performances?
That really depends on what you're aiming to do with Videosync. If it's just video playback and minimal effects processing, the M1 is already very comfortable. The more realtime processing you want to do, the more you will benefit from additional GPUs on Apple Silicon. That being said, if you'd like to be informed about a future Windows version, please get in touch with firstcontact@showsync.com.
Hey there, Beat Repeat is an effect that's exclusively for audio. In theory, we could make something similar for video, but there's many other different directions we could take such an effect.
Hi there! There is only one output window, but there are ways to get different content on two separate displays. Please get in touch with us through firstcontact@showsync.com so we can help you further!
Hey Rafael, you could use the "Envelope Follower" audio effect for this. You could also check out the "LFO" and "Shaper" audio effects, or the "Envelope MIDI" MIDI effect. All of these devices are included with Live 11.
Awesome ! this pushes AV art forward in a big way.
this is awesome, pls make it available for windows

how do you make the effects react automatically to the beat of the current session? I've tried the demo and all the automation is done manually.
