Is the ami cole lip oil similar to the livetinted huegloss? I bought the huegloss on your recommendation and ADORE it, but if the ami cole is similar then I'd rather stay with livetinted than a product that will expire so quickly I can't afford to repurchase it constantly lol
No they're completely different. Ami Cole is very sticky, like a gloss mixed with a balm, and it smooths the lips with a glass-like shine. the Live Tinted hueserum is like a cushiony lip serum with some slip.
If you love the Makeup by Mario Skin Enhancer as a bronzer, I HIGHLY recommend getting a lighter shade and using it as a skin tint/foundation all over. It was one of my faves in 2023....blurring effect with the just the right amount of glow. ❤

Love Surratt formulas but their packaging is the worst. They're meant to be put in palettes using the sticker on the back which means they are stuck where you put them and then cant see the name. Dunno why they didnt just make them magnetic. Their eyeshadows are the same.

Side note, Surratt does make palettes that fit 2 or 3 blushes, but they are annoyingly expensive at $20 to $25. I’m interested in trying a surratt blush, but I don’t like that I have to buy 2 expensive blushes and a $20 empty compact if I want nicer packaging. I also have a Romand blush in a very pale peach color. It’s honestly too light on its own, but brushed over another blush, it gives the most gorgeous blurred effect.
I want physicians Formula to make brighter/deeper shades. And they need to get rid of that junkie plastic packaging. You’re right about the eyebrow pencil. I literally buy them bulk on sale.

I think it’s Carmel, like the coastal town, as the candy would have another “a” in it (caramel), but I’m guessing. Don’t you hate those friggin’ CVS stickers? You cannot get those off, even with that goop remover stuff. I bought a mini set of Oribe shampoo and conditioner and they had those dang stickers on them. They look so tacky on my overpriced stuff. It annoys me too when they can’t get the labels on straight. I might be kinda OCD! 🙄 PS - I’m saving this video as I’d like to try a lot of your suggestions 😊

I don’t think you took a breathe during this entire video LOL! If anyone has issues with transfer of the Thrive mascara like it does for me but you love how it looks, try the Gucci mascara. It’s not tubing but it’s lengthening and beautiful.

No! It’s my favorite primer, it’s just not a daily essential because I have combination skin and generally prefer a soft matte base. I reach for face glaze on days when my skin is dull, but honestly I use it more regularly as a luminous body cream on my legs, chest, and arms.
Charlotte Tilbury just sent an email this weekend saying the matte blush wand in Pillow Talk is back in stock! So maybe it's not limited edition anymore? If you need a dupe NYX has a cream blush in a nude shade that looks just like it on the cheek.
Yay! Maybe they were just trying to cause a scarcity mindset. I did try the NYX cream blush in nude tude but the color was significantly warmer than pillow talk on my hand so I didn’t buy it.

i just watched hautemess tom's surratt vid and they talk about the packaging a bit! it seems a bit strange because they only have a palette that fits 3 blushes and it's not a magnet it just has a sticky backing?

Yes! I found the color science mineral sunscreens to be wayyyyy too slippery and the skinceuticals (and colorescience, any product that has a thin, runny mineral consistency) always looks terrible on my skin. My favorite mineral sunscreens are featured at the end of my 'best skincare of 2023' video :)

Yes. I believe two things: that people make mistakes and are worthy of being forgiven, and that intent matters. I think Susan made a huge mistake, but I don’t believe she intended to mislead people, and I certainly believe she’s learned a lesson from it. So I can move on.
Agree to disagree. I think her recent interviews following the sale of the company shows that her apology video was completely full of lies and inaccuracies regarding her initial involvement. So I do think she intended to mislead- she just didn’t think she’d get caught
Does anyone have BareMinerals Opal Glow and Peach Glow? I have Peach Glow, and I wonder how different they are on a skin tone like Kait’s? Have you tried MOB beauty?! You would probably love the cream clay shadows. We seem to have very similar tastes when it comes to makeup and they do not disappoint!
The regular line is SO boring but the collab they came out with for Jessica Haze are awesome! No creasing..I just make sure to blend them out with a fluffy brush and they last all day! You can also use a finger but I usually go back when I’m done and tap out any creasing and it’s bulletproof. I have super oily skin also!
If you haven’t tried the Ulta beauty matte cream eyeshadows, you are missing out! I heard about them from Amanda Z and they are amazing. Creamy, blendable, but long wearing. The colors Vintage Beauty and Throwback are my two favorites. I think they are 8 bucks!!

Ahhhh! I have the live tinted concealer in 20 and it’s a perfect base color match! Only issue is that under my eyes it melts my waterproof mascara! 😢 Still love it though, I just need to figure out how to use it best!

No! It’s my favorite primer, it’s just not a daily essential because I have combination skin and generally prefer a soft matte base. I reach for face glaze on days when my skin is dull, but honestly I use it more regularly as a luminous body cream on my legs, chest, and arms.
Charlotte Tilbury just sent an email this weekend saying the matte blush wand in Pillow Talk is back in stock! So maybe it's not limited edition anymore? If you need a dupe NYX has a cream blush in a nude shade that looks just like it on the cheek.
Yay! Maybe they were just trying to cause a scarcity mindset. I did try the NYX cream blush in nude tude but the color was significantly warmer than pillow talk on my hand so I didn’t buy it.

Yes! I found the color science mineral sunscreens to be wayyyyy too slippery and the skinceuticals (and colorescience, any product that has a thin, runny mineral consistency) always looks terrible on my skin.

I’m interested in some of your recommendations including Em cosmetics and the Vieve pencil.
However, I must tell you that I have a pan of the Merit eyeshadow (color midnight) and it dried out within five months and is completely unusable.
Mine are still good and I got them when they first launched, but I am definitely concerned they may dry out.

are you aware of the controversy with susan yara and naturium. That whole situation left me with such a bad taste in my mouth and I refuse t support her brand. Her apology was so full of lies... but i feel like a lot of the youtube community just gave her a pass?? i dont know... just not going to waste my money when there are so many other options out there
Yes. I believe two things: that people make mistakes and are worthy of being forgiven, and that intent matters. I think Susan made a huge mistake, but I don’t believe she intended to mislead people, and I certainly believe she’s learned a lesson from it. So I can move on.
Agree to disagree. I think her recent interviews following the sale of the company shows that her apology video was completely full of lies and inaccuracies regarding her initial involvement. So I do think she intended to mislead- she just didn’t think she’d get caught

I haven’t! They looked pretty boring to me, but I’ll check out those eyeshadows? They don’t crease badly?
The regular line is SO boring but the collab they came out with for Jessica Haze are awesome! No creasing..I just make sure to blend them out with a fluffy brush and they last all day! You can also use a finger but I usually go back when I’m done and tap out any creasing and it’s bulletproof. I have super oily skin also!
If you haven’t tried the Ulta beauty matte cream eyeshadows, you are missing out! I heard about them from Amanda Z and they are amazing. Creamy, blendable, but long wearing. The colors Vintage Beauty and Throwback are my two favorites. I think they are 8 bucks!!

I love these videos. I know you've had the Saie blush highlighter for awhile now, have you noticed it going off in smell yet? Clean brands and products make me nervous about product longevity as someone who doesn't go through makeup as quickly as the average person :/ But they look so good that I want to try!

I hate face palettes so I’ll never do that, AND it means you have to spend money buying more blushes to fill the palette. So annoying

Ahhhh! I have the live tinted concealer in 20 and it’s a perfect base color match! Only issue is that under my eyes it melts my waterproof mascara! 😢 Still love it though, I just need to figure out how to use it best!
