Since chaos needs two Masked heroes specifically it could be a reference to W's (doubles) theme which requires two people to become one rider Kamen Rider W (double)
I know I’m 4 years too late, but I use Anki and Dian in my Supreme King Evil Hero deck. Most monsters are either dark or earth, so those two fit perfectly in this deck
You should use dark law instead of Anki for its effect. Anki is usually better if your extra deck is more masked hero oriented. Plus being able to discard a card from the opponents hand every time they search a card and add to their hand an unlimited amount of times and simultaneously being able to banish every card that would usually go to your opponents graveyard is an absolutely amazing effect. It’s like called by the grave but if it were a monster that also punishes your opponent for searching cards.
I personally think Anki's effect should be: when this card attack a opponent monsters all damages are double because Anki's pose is like a rider kick and in the show the rider kick usually the strongest attack
Out of the effects, design, and meta relevance I say Dark law our what I like to call him Dank Law(Plus he's my favorite). I also play two mask hero decks one for fun and the other is for competitive play. I always loved the hero archtypes. I still have hope for stratos to come back someday.
I swear GX has a habit of giving Judai/Jaden superhero monsters in both the anime and manga versions, Power Ranger references everywhere! I'm looking forward for Hibiki's profile soon, I would like to see manga profiles of the characters and manga only characters if that's okay with you. :)
Literally masked hero’s and Elemental heroes are my absolute literal favorite archetypes. My “Murder Death Justice” hero deck is badass, my favorite possession lmao.
As a Kamen Rider fan, I can say you did not only a good job on the names, but also finding the references to them too. Some pronunciations and such are little off, but still good job on it man.
The Masked HERO Archetype needs more cards to make it into it's own archetype. I mean, WHAT was the point of making Jaden, a main character, make such a shift in his Deck only to limit it?
me too ges how many decks of masked/e-hero i have now 15 decks and stil grow for more, back and now i still play and collect heroes becase i love heroes from comics to manga, from cartoon to anime, and my faivorite Masked hero is Acid
I too use an elemental hero deck with elemental heroes, as well as elemental and masked hero fusion monsters. My favourite Masked Hero would have to be Koga. :)
I felt Masked Hero Anki was closer to Kamen Rider OOO design, as his scanning charge in Tatoba dorm changed his foot shape to look more like a grasshopper's feet, which are in fact clawed
Which is a reference to warrior of love Rainbowman. www.dailymotion.com/video/x58f4vv But no one seems to remember the guy. or all the other kawauki heroes aside from that one Sailor Moon reference.

I'll admit I always thought the masked Hero's was the anti-Hero version of normal hero's, not Japanese hero's. Reason why is I always had the impression that anti-hero's would wear masks to signify they used to be good, but then reality came in and broken them. they still fight for what's good, but don't care how to go around it.

I always thought thought the symbol on Masked HERO Goka's belt and Vapor's belt strike a resemblance to the red and blue ranger's helmets from power rangers samurai. Probably because that's exactly what they're referencing
I won't lie. When the masked hero deck came out me and my friend (who I should note is A. My groups "HERO" specialist and B. my groups fusion specialist) challenged me to a little duel the for the following day he said to build a deck using the masked hero deck as a base we can add cards that we think that will help. . . Masked Hero is probably my second favorite deck at the moment. A great combo I use is pulling Dian and using the effect on shadow mist, chaining shadow mist effect. Then using that mask change I or II on her(Anki if I don't have another change card in my hand, Dark law if I do) or another hero. If done right I could have 3 Masked hero's on the field in 2 turns. If I have have pulled a poly by then I use it on Dian and the 3rd unspecified masked card for Contrast. I prefer to leave dark law for the effects. Koga is pretty lit as well. I don't think there is a broken masked hero considering they are all situational. Though if they can be summoned together they can protect each other rather well. The deck can definitely be reduced to a crawl if no change cards are drawn or if your opponent plays a deck using Secret Village or either hands of the magician. This is however not using the new link rules as I haven't really looked into a link monster that works well with it. I did not mean for the comment to be this long ~_~
I ran Masked Heroes back in my freshman year in high school. I loved that deck, it could kinda be able to fight against my friend’s lightsworn and blue eyes decks.
One fallacy of the opening, the GX anime and manga are different continuties. Edit: Contrast Hero likely needs two Masked Heroes as material becauaw Kamen Rider W was conposed of two people each operating one colored half of the rider.

EspurrsEyes42 well perhaps 1. He’s a pretty badass card and thus gets his own archtype 2. At least until Zi-O trinity, W was the only Rider to be made of 2 people. I do play masked hero's, the elemental hero's and masked hero's have always been my favorite hero cards. (though I only play them on duelist legacy link evolution since I do not own the real cards, (working on it though) so there's that) Also I belive Masked Hero Dark Law is based on the character Garo, from the serie's with the same name.
I have this deck irl. My favorite thing to do is make absolute zero, and then use in if the change cards to switch it out for masked hero acid. Doing so will wipe the opponent's entire board. Unless they negate the summoning.
Fun fact: after the hurricane and tsunami that hit japan in 2011, a kamen rider statue was found undamaged, becoming a symbol of hope. This was in the 40 year anniversary of kamen rider, which led to kamen rider fourze being turned into a symbol for kids to learn from, to encourage them to make new friends after the disasters.
You know this actually explains a lot to me cuz in the anime outside of Winged kuriboh & Elemental Hero Neos and the NEOS space monsters no other monsters in Jaben deck actually talked to him so that makes much more sense because their not his cards
My Favorite Masked hero Koga not only does he look like Baraka but also he has the name of name of my favorite Bleach Fill character and I like to call his attack Dalk chop shop
You my need to do the update on the evil heroes archetype with the new evil heroes of course but we may need to be pitching on that because who knows The mask heroes archetype elementals the visions and temperature your mind of done bonus update for the Destiny heroes
I played a masked hero deck with a rainbow neos mixed in, it was pretty good but rainbow dragon could become a massive problem (it can't be replaced by prisma nor king of the swamp, ruling, couldn't be summoned either, no crystal beasts used) I still use it sometimes, keep changing it too. rainbow neos is now removed for consistency and added the new HERO support (new vision HERO, skydive scorcher for e-HERO fusions , legacy of a hero for the same fusions and e-HERO honest neos as attackbooster)
Real Masked Hero pros use the Absolute Acid combo for the field wipe, Direct attack with Acid, then Form Change to attack again. Bonus if you have a second Form Change in your hand for another another direct attack. Some men want to watch the world burn.
Have you ever thought of doing something like Comicstorian, in which you read the Yugioh manga? It would be a pretty cool, and it would get a lot of people into the manga.
Dian's body looks very masculine and muscular. People's basis on Dian being a female is because his boots have heels. It's common for boots to have heels.
I have and still play a Masked Hero archetype. It’s pretty fun to mess around with and just find what works! Best advice is if your doing full HERO don’t use Mask Change 2, of your wanting other monsters use Mask Change 2 and 1, and if you need and extra deck and have the space use Masked HEROS with Mask Change 2

My best friend played masked heros, dark law, anki and mist were all essentially tied for the most useful cards
I wish Masked Heroes: Ray, Inferno, Fountain, Gust, Dusk Crow & Bassols were real cards :(
“Dark Ogre” seems to be based on Agito slightly, At least in the chest area
As a Kamen Rider Fan I am happy to tell you that you did a good job with the rider names
I still run masked hero/vision/elemental and i love the deck with all my heart
6 years later, still relevant unfortunately. I love heroes and would love to see more of them
You know this actually explains a lot to me cuz in the anime outside of Winged kuriboh & Elemental Hero Neos and the NEOS space monsters no other monsters in Jaben deck actually talked to him so that makes much more sense because their not his cards
When I saw the Hero Strike structure deck at my local Target, I had to have it!
Masked heroes are my favorite archetype, thank you for making this video!
I still play a Masked HERO deck! It’s the only archetype I’ve ever played! HEROes for the win!
Have you ever thought of doing something like Comicstorian, in which you read the Yugioh manga? It would be a pretty cool, and it would get a lot of people into the manga.
Dark law has a KR Amazon feel
Based on mask change II artwork, it seems that all of the masked heros are one dude that changes masks (doesn't that make Dian a male)
Katazuma mask recharge has that same dude, that appears on mask change 2,
Katzuma
Nah this is probably a reference to decade
Dian's body looks very masculine and muscular. People's basis on Dian being a female is because his boots have heels. It's common for boots to have heels.
Yeah but these hills are almost more stiletto-like than I feel you would find on a men's boot
