Chengdu-Nanchong Expressway is the Chengdu-Nanchong section of the G42 Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway. It is part of the "Yangtze River Transport Corridor" of the "Ten Vertical and Ten Horizontal" comprehensive transportation corridor of China, with a total length of 215 kilometers. The entire Cheng-Nan Expressway is built to expressway standards, with 2 double-hole tunnels of 1,482 meters and 3 super-large bridges of 4,344 meters.
After the completion of Cheng-Nan Expressway, the 6 hours journey from Chengdu to Nanchong will be shortened to 2 hours, further improving the traffic conditions in central and northern Sichuan, shortening the time and space distance between Sichuan Province and the eastern coastal areas, accelerating the pace of poverty alleviation and prosperity in the hinterland of central Sichuan and the border areas of northern Sichuan, and promoting the economic and social development of Sichuan Province.
