I’m a lifelong resident of Indiana. I can remember fellow late 1980’s High School kids, getting so excited about spring break at Myrtle Beach. It was a big deal to pack up a car with friends, ditch the parents, travel hundreds of miles, and stay a week at a place bubbling with kids from other states. Hanging out at the beach, taking in the colorful attractions, and getting t-shirts to prove you went somewhere like an adult! Girls would come back with great tans and the faint scent of moisturizers, to keep from peeling. I was a little envious of the adventures they had, but imagine I stayed out of a lot of trouble. Lots of stories of underage drinking and hookups with people you’d never see again. I’m 53 now, and appreciate getting to see what I missed! Thanks Adam!🙂
Yes, it was a haven for teenage trouble. I'm in NC and Myrtle Beach was the place to go to celebrate graduation. Interesting that the excitement was with teens elsewhere.
It was somewhat of a status symbol, to have been to Myrtle Beach on spring break! People that had went were visibly more tan than everyone else, had a T-shirt from one of the shops, and would grin at each other like they were part of an exclusive club! Like Vegas for teenagers.
Ah Indiana, I too travelled from the Hoosier state to Myrtle Beach as a kid. The summers we didn’t go there we would travel to Santa Claus and the theme park
We lived in Greenwood, just south of Indy, and our summers were spent at Spring Mill, Bluespring Cavern, Marengo Cave, Squire Boone Cavern, and Corydon. I loved southern Indiana so much that I moved here!
Word of warning. DON'T put your windows down when it's really icy like that. You can completely break the motor on your window! You got lucky there! Take care in that freezing rain. Its no joke. I've been out in it in Chicago, and it's really dangerous driving. Be safe! 💖🏴
We grew up going to Myrtle Beach every summer, and now my parents live there. It’s not what it used to be, but they’re trying to build it back up! Fun video, thanks Adam!
As a long time resident of SC, I’ve never understood people’s fascination with Myrtle Beach. People travel from all over the country to go to Myrtle Beach, but it is by far the worst beach to visit in SC. There are so many more beautiful beaches in the state like Wild Dunes in Charleston, Hilton Head, Kiawah Island, or even Tybee Island in Georgia. A one time visit to Myrtle is more than enough.
I’m 51 and have lived in SC my whole life. I grew up going to MB. I think it’s just a nostalgia thing for me. We typically stay in Litchfield, and we go to HHI more, but MB has its own charm. We’re going in a couple weeks for the weekend to just eat some good seafood, stroll Broadway, and visit the outlets. No, it’s not a great beach, and I can’t imagine traveling from outside of the state to get there, we’re less than 2 hours away, but for me it will always hold a special place.
I'm from Wilmington but live in Florida. I'm always amazed how many people here know about Myrtle Beach and have never heard of Charleston. Myrtle Beach is Orlando without Theme Parks and a beach. It's horrible🤣.
This is why I watch your videos, Adam. “Ice stays in place when you roll down window”, then you chuckle. It’s the little things in life that make me feel happy, too.
Well that was a lot of fun! Adding the Kwik-E-Mart to the must visit list. Awesome, very jealous. Thanks for sharing the experience. It takes a special skill to make an icy day on the beach exciting, and you’ve done it. Be safe, have fun.
Thanks for going out in the cold for us! It’s very cold in Kentucky as well, and I hate it! At least we don’t have a ton of snow/ice. Haven’t watched your videos in a while, but it always feels good & cozy, like I’m hanging out with a friend. Stay safe!
Those geese flew all the way down there from frozen Michigan to get away from the cold, and look what they've run into, more ice. I loved this particular vlog today, the highlight for me was the Kwik E Mart. Thank you Adam for showing it to me.
And a kwik-e-mart. WOW. Love it. I didn’t even know. Groovy. Falling Ice 🧊 😳petunias 😂 I love nature too. Love the seasons and the changing terrain. Thx again. 🙏🏻👍🤗💞
I love that your close and do things with your family Adam. As adults, we tend to focus on our own lives and not appreciating the time we have to spend with our parents who one day will not be here. I would have loved to spend more time with mine, if I had had just made more of an effort to not be so busy with life. Be blessed, your a good son.🙏🏻✝️
This is so pretty even encased in ice. It looks like you found Barney before he's had his piping hot beverage he needs some coffee! Thank you for this!🐾
As always Adam, So fun to follow along even on a cold icy day. Thanks for sharing all that you do from coast to coast to coast. I alway love seeing you mom and pops in videos. My fav still remains with you and your mom in Galtlenberg (sp). it was so funny and warm moment.
Another cool adventure, Adam... You practically have the world to yourself. Those icy road conditions, however... I've got to get to that Simpsons' attraction. I'm just one of the many enjoying your road travels, Adam. Take care.🛣🚘🤗👏
I worked one summer of my college years at the old Pavillion amusement park that anchored Ocean Boulevard for generations. It was a crazy summer. We would work until midnight and then still have 3-4 hours we could hit Dixie Electric nightclub or one of the others. We then walked the beach towards a really cheap, falling down... hotel on the south end of Ocean Boulevard where my roommates and I shared a small efficiency for the summer. They truly ruined Myrtle Beach when they turned the Pavillion into just a shopping area. These days when I visit I stick to North Myrtle Beach which is by far nicer with less crime.
Yep... they made the BEST cheeseburgers & corn dogs (Pronto pups) at the Pavillion. I managed one of the food stands and one day the old gentleman that started the place came in with the guys running food service and taught us how to make the perfect "Pronto pups" these corn dogs had to have a special batter at just the right consistency so that when you pulled them out the batter they had a little curly tail on the end which stayed in place even in the deep fryer.
Never been to Myrtle Beach..looks pretty awesome when it's in season. Lots of cool tourist attractions. Stay warm Adam!! Thanks for taking us around even in the cold!
Was in Myrtle Beach last May. We went to the Kwik mart it was cool, and stayed on Ocean Blvd. shops didn’t open til later in the day then as well lol… Can’t believe it’s so cold and icy there. Stay warm and safe Adam. Love the video!
That is so crazy seeing all that ice and all the streets empty! What a nice gentleman to let you go in and show you around the Simpson’s attractions😊 I was just thinking you didn’t ask if that was a petunia in the beginning of your video, but you redeemed yourself there at the end! Lol! Great video👍🏼😊
The “The Bowery” is a really cool spot! It’s like a step back in time in there. The last time I was in there I actually met some folks from my hometown area who knew my family even tho we were hundreds of miles away. Real home town vibes.
Hey Adam, Ice on palm trees. Wow. Those windows are just solid ice till they thaw out. Cool a Simpsons Kwik E-Mart there in Myrtle Beach! Have a great day and stay safe!
This is pretty cool. I’ve never been to a Simpson’s themed anything but that is definitely on my list of things to do now. Thanks for taking us on the journey.
I don't have an issue with snow or cold weather but I dislike ice unless I am eating an popsicle!! Your Mom was smart staying back in the hotel!! It is 17 degree here in N.J with a covering of snow!! Happy Sunday Adam and to your Mom!!
I enjoyed this video more than I should have, I love it! One of the few times you will find that area empty. Reminded me of the scene in The Sopranos when Tony was out in the completely empty, snow covered Jersey Shore boardwalk. I hope to the Universal Studios Florida powers that be to welcome you back in this lifetime.
Hiya Woo- Thanks for jogging my memory of THEE BEST LINE and sequence from any Simpsons episode, ever! I'm certain that you remember Hapu picking up that hotdog and saying "Oh, lookee! Deh hotdog isss cuwwered in filt n dirt !"... And then half-heartedly blows on it and puts it back on the rollers.🤣
So many memories of Myrtle Beach....I can still hear the sounds coming from the Pavilion arcade that was torn down. Adam really would have loved the Pavilion atmosphere.
Thanks for coming to Myrtle beach. Moved here in the mid eighties. It’s changed a lot since I came here in the fifty’s to vacation with my parents as a child. Sorry about the weather. In. 1989 we had a freak snow storm that came up the coast and it dumped 14 inches of snow here in Myrtle beach. First white Christmas we have ever had. Not offer we get ice. It’s usually a lot warmer.
@TheDailyWoo Awesome Video, Adam!!! I love The Simpsons & Futurerama. I'm glad you made a purchase in the Kwik-E-Mart. That's a way of thanking that employee for opening the store when nobody else is around.
It's so cool seeing Adam explore the area I grew up in. I lived in Myrtle Beach from when I was 5 up to my junior year of high school. I've been wanting to go back and visit, but I just haven't had the chance.
I spent many summers in my youth on that Myrtle Beach strip and I have to say I have never seen it so dead and with ice everywhere. This one definitely brought back memories.
You’re looking good, Adam 💯Love your style as well. Thank you for sharing all these interesting vlogs 🙌🏼I’m looking forward to following your new YT - path this year. I really enjoy this type of content 🙂Also, I like that you do your own thing in life. Very refreshing! 💞Greetings from subscriber in Norway
I’m loving these videos. Myrtle Beach is my home away from home. There was a fire close to the area you’re staying in. It was at Ocean Lakes Campground. They have year round houses there. 3 burned and 11 was damaged. Sad. Have a great time there!
That Kwik-E-Mart will put a dent in your pockets if you’re a Simpsons fan. So much cool merch. You can get Duff (soda), Squishies, and they play songs from the show nonstop. Looking forward to going back in spring or early summer.
Your talent to entertain is huge! Proud of ya. You are livin your dream. Keep on Bubba!! I dunno if RUclips has user awards, but you should win something big and golden. Lol
We lived there from 2004 to 2017. It was at it's peak then. The Palace Theater at Broadway-at-the-Beach was torn down. That's where the Broadway name came from. They had Broadway-style shows there. Planet Hollywood gone, a huge Hard Rock Cafe inside an Egyptian pyramid now a Dave & Busters. There was an I-Max theater, Magi-Quest, a huge Dragon's Lair golf attraction with a dragon that talked & spit fire, etc. Lots of other attractions bit the dust. Broadway-at-the Beach has become more & more carny looking. It was more like Downtown Disney & Pleasure Island back in the day.
Adam if you know its gonna be freezing rain. Flip your wiper arms up so your wipers don't freeze to your window.. lots of times itl just rip the rubber right off when you try and use your wipers
Enjoyed watching from beginning to end. Have never been there so it was interesting to see some of the attractions there. Very cool that you were the only customer in the store.
It's raining ice! Oh, my!! I've never thought about going to Myrtle Beach. I've always wanted to visit Savannah, GA. What an awesome trip that would be. I did get to visit somewhere along that Georgia coast when I was in my early 20"s. The small waves ( it was in winter) coming up on the beach were frozen!!!
Toto, l don't think we're in California anymore. When I got my new little dog, l brought her to Myrtle Beach. It was so cold, she ran from the beach. Last summer we stayed at the Diplomat Motel. Not far from where you were. Not the usual place that I stay at, but nice enough. Great to see you checking out the sights. I really need to head back there. Safe travels. Watch out for the ice.
I appreciate you venturing out into that infamous weather so I don’t have to. It’s kinda cool to see it abandoned like that. The ice on that boardwalk formed a fascinating pattern.
Used to live in Myrtle about 17 years ago. I remember going to Broadway a lot. Quite a bit has changed it seems. Always a pleasure to join in on your adventures.
Did Adam state that the city of Myrtle Beach puts down ice on the roads? LOL! I have gotten to really enjoy Adam's videos. he is a good guy for going out on days like this one and inviting us to join him.
We went to Ripley's it was awsome wow 21 years ago. When my sister was stationed in Raleigh,NC she had my nephew, so when we went to see him. We traveled down all together to Myrtle beach and stayed in a really cool hotel with a lazy river inside. I loved it 😍 I'd love to go back. To think how close I was to Florida. The only time I've ever been on the east coast! She moved back home to Arizona and now lives in Canada. My Nephew is in Missouri now and he is 21
I also grew up going to Myrtle Beach and Edisto. That sand lot beside The Bowery use to be The Pavillion. Lots of arcade games and across the street in the lot beside Ripley's was rides and carnival type games. Back in the day Guiness Book had a place just down from Ripley's.
Very unique video, frozen palm trees and flowers( were they Petunias ?! ) lol. I hope all is well with you and your family. Stay Safe and Thank you for taking your life in your hands ,on that ice, for making this video for us Your friend Tammy in PA
Thank you for your videos!! In MB all the time, my daughter goes to Coastal Carolina Univ. Thank you for all the fun places. If you want a cute town and park to explore try Conway. Conway Riverwalk is a great park that has a boardwalk along the river.
As a big Simpsons fan I always wanted to visit the Kwik E Mart in SC. It’s funny how a little ice and cold temperatures can shut SC down. Here in Ny we get a foot of snow and still go to work.

This road trip keeps plugging along . Still in myrtle beach a couple more days due to some family stuff .
(#860) I love ❤ 😍 💖 ❣ 💕 💘 that you keep saying ice is being put down when you mean 🧂🍚 salt!!! I think myrtle Beach can be beautiful!!
Hope everyone 🙏 is doing well.
they have a place out there with piping hot jecuzi and water slides indoor cant remmber the place but its pretty cool
Great vid, now I know that Myrtle Beach is a cool place to visit. The name of the Simpsons' area at Universal is SPRINGFIELD, DOH!
Freezing rain is no joke.

I was thinking the same thing!! Hopefully he sees your comment.
As someone from the upper Midwest my thought when I saw him doing that was "not smart".
Fake news.
It's a rented car 😂
There's something so cool and crisp about being outside when its cold out like that. Especially when no one else is around. Love it 😎
Adam this is so surreal. Finding the hot piping caffeinated beverage. You more than deserve it after this. Hope everything is ok family wise.
We grew up going to Myrtle Beach every summer, and now my parents live there. It’s not what it used to be, but they’re trying to build it back up! Fun video, thanks Adam!
Oh yes, dirty Myrtle. North Myrtle beach is safe with out the problems Myrtle Beach has. Cost of living is expensive too.
I love south Carolina. Not sure I would want to live in myrtle Beach. But we had a great stay at the state park campground there.
Very nice place.
@@goalie2998 the state park is great and I loved the pier. Have a great day.
@@goalie2998 we always go to the state park for our beach days! It’s so pretty, has shade under the pier, and air conditioned bathrooms! Lol

It was great growing up in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. I stopped going when they tore down the iconic Pavillion. They ruined it.

As a NMB resident for 35 years, I agree. It's so much calmer.... but still tons of traffic year round now.
Perfect timing Adam, not often Myrtle Beach gets ice and snow!!

It’s definitely not worth the trip it used to be
Thank you once again Adam. I truly appreciate all of your videos
We went to the Simpson stores few months ago and loved it. Definitely takes you back. That whole little park/plaza is really cool!
That was fun. I think it is fun to go around places like that and be the only one. Thank you for the great tour today!
Thanks for showing us myrtle. I haven’t been there in well over 30 years. Looks fun!
This was GREAT! You have the PERFECT personality for this type of informative videos!
We love your videos, and have really been enjoying your Myrtle Beach videos. You are right in our back yard. Keep up the excellent presentations.
Unintentionally not watched any Woo for ages, really enjoyed this one Adam. That familiar voice of yours was just what I needed today 👍🏻

Used to live in Myrtle about 17 years ago. I remember going to Broadway a lot. Quite a bit has changed it seems. Always a pleasure to join in on your adventures.
Awesome video of The Simpsons Aztec Theater and Kwik-E-Mart!!! ✨👍👍
Thank you for braving the ice. So glad 😊 that you are not being deterred.
Did Adam state that the city of Myrtle Beach puts down ice on the roads? LOL! I have gotten to really enjoy Adam's videos. he is a good guy for going out on days like this one and inviting us to join him.
salt is too corrosive! fight ice with ice!😆
Lol. We put the best ice on the icy roads.
My Nephew is in Missouri now and he is 21
It was so cool going in there. I loved the vibe the entire place gave off.
Wow... You found one that I hadn't heard of before! Incredible location.
As for the ice storm... I guess one a year isn't TOO bad ;)
I also grew up going to Myrtle Beach and Edisto. That sand lot beside The Bowery use to be The Pavillion. Lots of arcade games and across the street in the lot beside Ripley's was rides and carnival type games. Back in the day Guiness Book had a place just down from Ripley's.
I can't wait to go see that. Thanks for the video!
been thinking about going to Myrtle beach but I will wait until warmer weather 😬🥶🥵thanks for the preview though 👍👊🏻😂
Very unique video, frozen palm trees and flowers( were they Petunias ?! ) lol. I hope all is well with you and your family. Stay Safe and Thank you for taking your life in your hands ,on that ice, for making this video for us

Myrtle Beach in the winter is my favorite! We usually go up for our anniversary in January for the weekend.
great video again adam but made me feel cold brrrrrrrrrrrrr lol , well done and thank you 😊
Thank you for your videos!! In MB all the time, my daughter goes to Coastal Carolina Univ. Thank you for all the fun places. If you want a cute town and park to explore try Conway. Conway Riverwalk is a great park that has a boardwalk along the river.
Adam Very interesting Thank You for sharing. Brrrr cold.
Super awesome like always can't wait t o see the video you film today
As a big Simpsons fan I always wanted to visit the Kwik E Mart in SC. It’s funny how a little ice and cold temperatures can shut SC down. Here in Ny we get a foot of snow and still go to work.
No snow plows or way to clear roads here, since it rarely snows or ices like that here. Everyone I know still went to work.
Great channel!!
Thank you friend.
Greetings from Brazil.
That Simpson's theatre is some of the best theming I've seen. So cool.
Thanks for the enjoyable video! Hope everyone stays safe and well.❤️
Brother you got WAY too much joy from that iced up window 😂😂😂
Thanks for the captions
Sometimes I have hard time hearing certain words
Really appreciated 👍
