I think it's easy for me to think it's worth after already purchasing it because I keep factoring the new activity and anniversary loot in alongside the content you actually pay for. When it comes down to it you're paying 25 bucks for only a dungeon, an exotic and some returning weapons and ornaments. It is a bit steep of a price...Though I enjoyed the content greatly
This is by far my favorite dungeon. Going in blind solo for my first clear was the most fun I've had in the game since doing the same for Zero Hour, even funner than the day 1 crown experience, because it took me 6 hours instead of 16... and I actually got the clear. The rank 16 Dares grind is the only downside for me. It's extremely mind numbing, and I HATE the fact that lightning rounds are so random and so rare, since the title depends on it. Don't really care for the new guns, but I'm glad they're here for the people that do.

Agreed. The laughs we had for the first run are worth $25 alone. I’ve spent more than that on tickets for movies, or a bar night, or an entertainment venue easily.

They should put the emotes and ornaments into Eververse and charge $10-$15 for the actual content. That would be the most fair way to do it. I don't want to be forced to buy emotes and ghosts just so I can play a new dungeon.
One dungeon, some ornaments, and one weapon is not worth $25 imo. 2.5x the cost of a season for well less than a season's worth of content. I hope this does not become the norm. I really would have preferred a lower price point option that did not include any of the cosmetic fluff.
This business model is more F2P/Solo friendly. As a result, active, hardcore fans are being monetized more aggressively. I think the biggest pain point is having the price inflated by the cosmetics. If there was an option to not get any cosmetics, then i think that would be the most popular one. Maybe the best compromise going forward is the same price, but instead of "here are your cosmetics," its "heres your silver, go get what you want."
Spot on, I made the same point. It’s not value for money if you’re paying, but the free content only exists because of the paid content. The intention is for Bungie to be able to provide content for everyone to enjoy, whilst offering a few extra perks for those willing to pay (which funds the development). As you said, some additional silver or maybe a touch lower overall price would have hit the sweet spot a little better. As it is it’s a miss in my book (though I understand what they’re trying to go for).
Lmao around 30% of the game is free the rest is paid. Literally there's nothing good that's free. All the good stuff is behind pay wall. At this point is wouldn't make a difference if they switched back to paid
Honestly, it just feels weird to create this whole 30th anniversary update to celebrate your company's legacy and the fans who stuck with you, only to charge all your players to play half of it and access the main legacy part of the update. Worth it is arguable, but it just feels to me like almost every piece of paid D2 content is like 5-10$ overpriced which is just enough to make me constantly question if it's actually worth the cost.
i'd be much happier if the dungeon was 15 bucks n 3 ornament sets + ghorn ornament were a cosmetic pack worth 10 bucks(which seems fair in context to eververse pricing). i m someone who never spends real money on cosmetics so that was kinda annoying to me personally that i had to buy the whole thing with cosmetic priced in to experience the actual dungeon.
swap around the pricing (10 for dungeon and 15 for all the cosmetics, considering its 1500 silver for a full armour ornament set usually) and I very much agree.
Personally, I believe that $25 is a bit steep for 3 returning legendaries and 1 returning exotic, plus a new dungeon, new legendary sword, and new cosmetics. The F2P content is great value considering it is free but I think they really missed the mark on appropriately pricing the paid content. Plus, it’s super weird for a game to have an Anniversary event to celebrate the company and years of support from players to then charge you for Anniversary content.
Exactly why i didn't pay for it. All of it should have been free. I mean they milked enough money off players for in game content already. If it goes on sale i might think about it.
I'll be honest, the only thing that interests me in the 30th A paid pack is the dungeon and maybe couple of the legendary guns. If I could just pay 5 bucks to get the dungeon and pass on the ornaments, I'd do it in a heartbeat
This dungeon is easily the funnest one they've made and the length of time it takes doesnt feel like overkill and the story inside is great I always buy a package deal anyway and this time I'm a little happier then usual
Try doing it solo lol I think you’ll change your mind on the amount of time it takes. If you can kill that final boss in less than 30 minutes please tell me what you’re doing because I had a near perfect run and it took me 33. But yeah the story is great and overall I’d say it’s one of my favorites. Throne ties for 1st. Prophecy on the bottom cuz motes suck, the lighting is so picky, and no amount of aesthetics can fix the snoozefest that is the cube room. At least the engrams are less buggy and get picked up when you go over them in GoA.
IMHO, it is absolutely not worth $25. Unless you think Bungie's cosmetic items are actually worth their outrageous prices. In terms of content, this has less than the curse of Osiris DLC which came in at $20... and got roasted alive by everyone. I really dislike the bundling of cosmetic items, Weapons (which I think in a game with pvp should be free to all players), and actual content. We seriously need to talk about how: we paid for the base game, which they removed; we paid for every DLCs, which they keep removing; On top of that we pay for seasonal content; and now, for what's called a "celebration" we need to pay $25 to fully celebrate. I thought Activision was greedy but it turns out they were actually keeping bungie from killing this game with micro transactions.
I'm not really a hard-core player, but the dungeon is very fun and I dare say even easier than the other dungeons. Since I didn't play D1 the weapons are new to me, so that's a plus.
Yeah i also think it easier than other dungeons and thats good because i dont play a lot of dungeons mainly because im afraid of fucking up but this dungeon gave me the courage to play more dungeons
"Drip above all" - Sun Tzu As a person who makes alot of fashion based sets the ornaments are amazing, they provide some unique options, also the dungeon and the g-horn is epic... Imo its worth it if you enjoy some extra content to keep you busy.
So you're not actually purchasing items/gear, but the opportunity to earn them.. I feel like the description in the store could make this clearer to new players. When I purchase a bundle saying "you'll receive..." I think that's what I'm getting, not that I have to go and earn the things I thought I was paying for. I don't have a problem earning or grinding for things, but at the same time I don't wanna just receive dungeon access if I think I'm purchasing actual items. Mind you, I'm someone completely new to the game and have only been playing for a few days, so I've never dealt with this model before. If I buy a bundle in say Warframe, I get what's in the bundle, not access to the mission to earn the things in the bundle. Idk, that's my perspective at least.
I love dungeons and of course I got the pack just to try it blindly with my friends. I am in the mood to pay a little bit extra for dungeons if they are also an extra content. However, I didn't like how the price was dictated by cosmetics included with no way to get only the content part for lesser price. I know I've kind of voted with my wallet but if the trend continues I doubt I will bother with such packs, sadly.
Hmm. In comparison to the 15$ sets in the eververse store, 3 sets from 45 to 25 is already a pretty good discount. Of course, that's barring the fact that you're not *choosing* three sets that you want. Idk.
@@huhreally5771 There are people that don't care about cosmetics at all. If all you would want is the playable content, you don't want cosmetics to drag the price of the pack up by 1.5-2.5 times. I would have zero complaints if I could get the dungeon and quest without cosmetics for a reasonable price.
@@huhreally5771 people keep making the argument "but but eververse pricing!!!" like what about the people who either A) don't like the sets and/or B) only want the dungeon? For these people (also me) is seems like the dungeon is locked behind a high price tag with no other alternative
After compleating my first ever flawless solo for Prohecy, I decided to solo blind GoA even with guides already out for it. No regrets! Super satisfying to figure out everything on my own.
Day one blind dungeon running with a clan mate was worth more than the cost of admission for me. I'm not a long time Destiny player, so being able to have an experience like that was special to me, even if wasn't the first or last the community will see.
I feel like $25 for a dungeon and some cosmetics isn't even valued right measured against other Destiny releases. Pretty much any season from the past year has more content and costs less. Just look at Season od the Lost and the amount of stuff it has for $10. Warmind was $20 and had a whole destination, a raid lair, EP, 2 strikes, multiple exotics, and 9 armour sets.
yes but warmind also had more staff working on it and destiny was not free to play so it was a $20 expansion to a $60 game whereas seasons are $10 expansions to a free game
@@granularaddition So despite having less staff working on it and it having less content than Warmind you mean to tell me that would actually make it MORE expensive than Warmind? Your logic seems extremely flawed.
@@user-rj4pq7lm1n im pretty sure he understands, it still doesn't make sense to charge more for less even if there were less people working on something
@@user-rj4pq7lm1n For example, if you have 10 people working on something that takes 50 work hours to complete, again this is just an example. You then have to pay 10 people for those 50 hours of work. Say you give that same work to 5 people and they now have to do 100 hours just to do the same job. Will at the end of that work those 5 people be payed less or more than if it was done by 10 people? Now of course there is probably more nuance to that and other factors might impact the pay but that does not necessarily make the work any less different. The idea that a smaller team would somehow be a reason to hike up prices is simply ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that Bungie has massively expanded since they left Activision. They definitely have enough people to work on it if they want it.
25 bucks for a dungeon, cosmetics and Gally?! F*ck hell, NO!!! Its way too expensive for whats on offer. You can get great full games at that price point
I know this is subjective because not everyone has the same circumstances. As an entirely F2P player I feel 25dlls is too much for technically just one exotic and a dungeon (I don't count the guns because that should always come in those not add extra value. And the cosmetics are just that cosmetics depending on how you see those that's how much value you'll see in them). I think it's more worth to buy two seasons (if those still remain 10dlls) because not only you get an immense amount of crafting materials, you also have access to 1 exotic and technically 3 sets of armors (depending if you play all classes) not to count all the bright dust you can get to buy more things from eververse (I think that's the name?) and I almost forgot, you also have access to the current season history, while the dungeon it's just one thing and that's it maybe some other dialogues but there's nothing more while in the season's history you progress through every week to have a different cutscene and slightly different mission where in said seasonal activity you can get new stuff. Maybe I'm too bitter and I wish I could see this game more positively, but with how Bungie has gone with this game it makes me question every piece of content they sell.
"which does not have matchmaking" This is always the issue I have with Destiny's activities. There's always the catch that an activity, or harder version of that activity that grants the best rewards, has no matchmaking. This is a problem for me because none of my friends play Destiny 2 anymore and I don't like begging for invites on forums, partly due to using forums being cumbersome and partly because it creates social anxiety for me that simply pressing a matchmaking button avoids.
I bought the $100 bundle on my PS5. Came with the whole getup. I personally think the 30th anniversary bundle alone shouldn’t cost $25. I think $15 is more reasonable.
No, it’s not worth it, you get hardly anything for the paid content. However, the free stuff only exists because of the paid stuff. The latter funds the development, and the intention here is to add new content for everyone to enjoy, whilst offering some extra perks for those with the money to spend.
the price point is way too steep for honestly, barely any content at this point. The seasons are 10 bucks and come with more overall content than just one dungeon. If the dungeon alone was $5 I'd consider it, especially considering Dungeons have never been an extra cost outside of the DLC they drop with. I mean, prophecy was straight up free. That is one more issue for me, they're suddenly charging me $25 for what's basically some cool emotes and an activity that was technically free the last 3 times it was released. I think in the future, monetizing emotes and smaller quests would be a better idea. "Here's $30 worth of stuff in a $10-15 bundle that has a quest and grinding attached to it." would be a much better option imo.
I'm not sure if this was added in here anywhere but Joe Blackburn has said the 30th anniversary content isn't going anywhere anytime soon so if you haven't bought it because of reasons you have time. Or if you're like me and can't afford to buy both, I'm buying which queen. I'll buy this later. Second for me, I don't do master level content and that's been a serious factor in my decision making. The artifact armor looks really cool, But I don't know that I will do it. I still don't have the catalyst for dead man's tale for exactly the same reason. Statistically I know I'm not alone.
Honestly: if you're like... "into" Destiny, I know you already bought or will buy. Paying gives you the dungeon (and master drops armor with one more armor slot), Gjally and a lot of cosmetic shit that, well, we won't use for long because we're locked into 4 emotes. Oh, you get the rock ship thing. $25 is overpriced.
New dungeon is fantastic - my favourite one to date and the only one I actually enjoyed getting my solo flawless for. Yes Gjallahorn played a huge part in my decision but the new loot from the dungeon is great too: remember that the Matador and 1k Stare drop with NEW perks like Golden Tricolour. Master version makes the dungeon experience way cooler + the armor pieces can run with extra armor slots all in all makes the pack close to good value for money. Granted $30 is probably still on the high end of my willingness to pay but I am in no way complaining about no value for money. Dont forget that with the dungeon comes all the extra stuff too like the MMXXI Triumph and cosmetics like cool Piratical Ambitions emblem or the Ensnared Silver shader all of which require completion of the new dungeon. So indirectly the $30 is going towards those things as well.
In terms of content sticking around, the deadline to earn the Vidmaster seal is December 2022, meaning we have a full year of 30th anniversary content according to Bungie Rewards
Artifice armor isn’t worth it imo because you still need the energy to equip the mod. I basically always run out of energy before I run out of mod slots.
@@Garybell09 it would be worth it if masterworking brought it to 12 energy instead of 10, but an extra slot that I don’t have the energy to utilize anyway isn’t worth grinding perfect stats. If I get one, then cool. But I’m not grinding master for it.
When the new season arrives, am I able to equip the new seasonal-mods on the master-dungeon armor, or do I need a new armor piece as well? -> Master-Dungeon-Armor only usefull in the current season?
How do you get the instant items when you bought it? Like the cosmetics and weapons? I can't find anything to get. Or is everything that's supposed to be given all in the dungeon?
I understand not making Galla the MUST HAVE EXOTIC so that you dont HAVE to buy the pack, but it really just means you dont really need Galla as long as someone else brings it along for the Nightfall/raid whatever. In solo play I actually prefer using something else.
Seems like I'm there only one who didn't enjoy the dungeon. Played it twice, didn't enjoy either run. The sparrow part seems random and frustrating, especially when the cannon never quite launches me far enough. Got stuck in a respawning loop both times in the following encounter. The list goes on.
here in New Zealand the 30th bundle is $41.99 dollars and me being a 15yo and unemployed that's not something i can just pull out ass anytime i want so i won't be getting the 30th also beyond light that's $70 odd dollars so i also don't have that but i do have forsaken and shadow keep
The dungeon is fun and I enjoyed grinding out the solo flawless completion, BUT I still don't think it's worth $25. People will argue the extra cosmetics make it worth the price tag, but I personally have little interest in using any of them. IMHO, the dungeon should've been offered as a standalone purchase for like $10 or maybe $15. (inb4 "but but eververse cosmetics alone are worth $75, you're saving money!!1!")
You have to earn the marathon armor? Is there another set you can get because I got mine from just opening three boxes they gave me. I got marathon armor for each class
I just think it's kind of ridiculous that new lights need to buy the forsaken pack in order to get access to all the subclasses. You can't call your game f2p if a lot of borderline necessities are locked into a discontinued expansion. Especially when it's still full price on steam
I am wondering: is there an end date to the 30th Anniversary? I can’t really find one online, and don’t know if Gjallarhorn would be available in the future if we’re busy with other games at the moment. (Halo’s back, don’t judge meeee!)
>No, the 30th Anniversary pack isn't worth $30, I couldn't care less how many wildly overpriced cosmetics they shove in it, it's not worth $30. >Yes, you probably need to buy it if you play Destiny. >Yes, the 30th Anniversary pack is a ripoff when you compare it to past content we've paid similar prices for, and considering the fact that Bungie said Eververse was going to be used to help fund content like this. >Yes, I'd say the pack is a letdown, since of the Halo throwback weapons, there's only five, and only two or three are actually viable. For $30, I expect much more than that, but it sucks even more when they're, I'm generously guessing, wanted to go for quality over quantity, but the quality isn't there and their choices of Halo-themed weapons was ass (and really lazy since two are just the same thing with different colors and perks, one making the other completely irrelevant). >Yes, you should be pissed off at Bungie for this, because yet again, they're abusing their player-base with overpriced content due to their greed. Anyone who ever blamed Activision for anything wrong with Destiny is an ignoramus who should educate them self on the topic, because we've known for years now that Activision was never the issue, and was actually the entity holding Destiny together. >Yes, you should be pissed off at the players who constantly buy Silver and defend Bungie at every single turn, because this happened because of them. They're the ones who wanted to suck Bungie dry for stealing content that we paid for, not using Eververse for what they said it'd be used for, for making seasonal events just cash-grabs, for making Transmog a blatant scam and the worst in gaming, for having Eververse items wildly expensive for no reason other than, "Give me money," and people being stupid enough to do it in droves, etc.
I just got an Xbox Series X and transferred all my stuff over from my PS4, but yet the game is telling me I have to buy all the expansions again? Does content not transfer in that way or did I mess something up?

"could you luve without them?" I’ve been struggling to get high light to be high enough light for the dungeon in the first place. Currently sitting at 1300 light and the dungeon recommends 1310. I was 1290 once the 30th anniversary dropped and I’ve been grinding the light levels to be able to play the dungeon without dieing with one shot
Ok, I personally can't really speak about if you should get it or not. Been a bungie fan most of my life, but I can speak for my 2 friends that got back into Destiny 2 and got the pack together. I forced them to go through the Dungeon blind and experience it first hand, and they thanked me for that. All 3 of us died laughing for about 4 and 1/2 hours learning the encounters and Killing each other on traps. Also we are still laughing at the Xur line "Did you forget to say, No Whammies?" For the loot side of the event, It's personal choice to be honest. Having the original weapons back are cool and all, especially with new perks. But for my friends who didn't play D1, it was eh to them, like they agree they were nice guns but without the nostalgia, they are average weapons (beside the Luna, Rapid hit/Outlaw - Headstone is kinda crazy good). Ghorn is Ghorn, sadly the quest is super short and a little unfun when you learn you can auto complete it in 1-2 Devil lair runs. Armor looks great and you definitely get you money's worth. Overall, Buy the pack for the Dungeon and Ghorn, Mainly the Dungeon. It's a whole experience that if you miss out on, you might regret. Weapons and Armor is cool and all, but nothing tops going "Should I trust this button/Switch?" for the 9th time before being spiked again.
I just bought the 99$ anniversary deluxe but haven’t received any of the weapons nothing but 3 blue street wear armor boxes ? Do you have to wait to unlock the Gali ?and other guns ?
I’ve been a massive halo fan for years, it’s the DLC that brought me to destiny and witch queen is what is keeping me right now. For me it was worth it, especially since the dlc alone has more content than halo infinite right how…😭😭😭
When will this content be vaulted? I'm glad they're returning the menagerie (or another version of it), menagerie was the most fun I've had in game that I can remember thanks to in game matchmaking. Still no update to transmog to make it similar to other mmo's?
I loved those D1 weapons but I'm going to hold off playing at all until the Witch Queen. That way, it'll be like falling in love with Destiny all over again. I stopped playing about a month ago, I just got burnt out.
Dungeon is obvs here to stay for the next couple years. Pretty sure Dares of Eternity might stick around as well. Can't really think of a temporary/seasonal activity that got its very own destination the way that eternity got one.
Presage, Harbinger (sort of), Expunge, Most of Astral Alignment, The Sundial/Corridors of time, Vex Offensive sort of, Interference from Arrivals (the missions not the public event), Menagerie, Shattered Realm.
@@ShadowNova300 What I meant is a destination with it's own spot on the director. Presage/Harbinger were located within a preexisting destination (Tangled Shore/EDZ respectively). Eternity is its own destination on the main map, which is unlike any other activity. I should also note, the rankup system is more similar to crucible/vanguard than any other vendor which lends to my belief that it'll be around for a long while.
I'm a nurse in a pandemic, so money ain't the issue. Time on the other hand, is scarce. When I made the purchase I wasn't aware of the time it would take to get all the items I went in on, which is kind of a feels bad. Add in the time sinks that already exist (13 of the past 15 pinnacles have been Kinetic or Energy slot), and I'm gonna be kinda pressed to get it all done before Witch Queen, and replenish my golf balls, and finish up all the exotic + catalyst quests and so on.
After leaving Season 8, last I bought was Forsaken. I'm back. $20 for Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Shadow Shadowkeep on sale on Xbox. 30th anniversary pack for $10. On sale, I'd say kinda worth it but this is way after the fact.
I really hope they expand on xurs treasure hoard , use it to allow us to earn vaulted armour cosmetics , but I feel that its gonna be a 1 time hit that's it
it felt a little scummy that all those items at the bottom of xur's inventory just said "requires 30th anniversary pack" and then when you actually buy it, it suddenly goes "oh yeah you also need to complete all these specific triumphs to get these"
I definitely played the game more during last season, probably because it took me longer to hit the light cap of 1320. This time around i only had to go 10 levels to 1330 on 3 characters. I think i took a pretty long break from like the Halloween event to the 30th anniversary.

As it is it’s a miss in my book (though I understand what they’re trying to go for).
@@seesidesummerhouse6112 Okay. So then there’s the actual company with a shit ton of money so..
The silver is a great idea
Well I think you've just answered your own question right there ;)
Well said nothing seems to have changed
i'd be much happier if the dungeon was 15 bucks n 3 ornament sets + ghorn ornament were a cosmetic pack worth 10 bucks(which seems fair in context to eververse pricing). i m someone who never spends real money on cosmetics so that was kinda annoying to me personally that i had to buy the whole thing with cosmetic priced in to experience the actual dungeon.
I agree
swap around the pricing (10 for dungeon and 15 for all the cosmetics, considering its 1500 silver for a full armour ornament set usually) and I very much agree.
well, i know it’s been a year but they are selling both forsaken and 30th anni with 1650 yen which is like $12 now so
1:09 “so what came with the 30th anniversary content drop” and then a guy gets obliterated by a *drop* pod
I feel the same way, also remember rise of iron was £25, this pack is £22 (UK prices)
I'll be honest, the only thing that interests me in the 30th A paid pack is the dungeon and maybe couple of the legendary guns. If I could just pay 5 bucks to get the dungeon and pass on the ornaments, I'd do it in a heartbeat
what about the ship

Your "shut up" note that came up when you missed those 2 galleries shot was priceless 🤣
This dungeon is easily the funnest one they've made and the length of time it takes doesnt feel like overkill and the story inside is great I always buy a package deal anyway and this time I'm a little happier then usual
Is funnest a word?

Try doing it solo lol I think you’ll change your mind on the amount of time it takes. If you can kill that final boss in less than 30 minutes please tell me what you’re doing because I had a near perfect run and it took me 33.
But yeah the story is great and overall I’d say it’s one of my favorites. Throne ties for 1st. Prophecy on the bottom cuz motes suck, the lighting is so picky, and no amount of aesthetics can fix the snoozefest that is the cube room. At least the engrams are less buggy and get picked up when you go over them in GoA.
@@bjcooper4365 solo speed is under 17 min
@@senrign this gives me hope 👍🏻
I didn't find it easier. I spent like 3 hours on ogre and it has no matchmaking

As a person who makes alot of fashion based sets the ornaments are amazing, they provide some unique options, also the dungeon and the g-horn is epic... Imo its worth it if you enjoy some extra content to keep you busy.
I think this might genuinely end up being the first destiny content that I haven’t bought since literally the release of D1
Aye, I peeped my GT at few times, like 0:42 and 0:52 ! That’s pretty neat to see my character!
1:30 dont worry Datto we all must suffer the indiscriminate wrath of the Cabal Drop pod
6:20 I almost spilled my food when I saw this, please don't make me do that. You know us too well. 😂
@@methos4866 no it’s not you’re just not understanding what is being said, because the staff is smaller it means more work had to go into it
@@user-rj4pq7lm1n im pretty sure he understands, it still doesn't make sense to charge more for less even if there were less people working on something
The horse makes funny neighing sounds. It’s worth every penny
25 bucks for a dungeon, cosmetics and Gally?! F*ck hell, NO!!! Its way too expensive for whats on offer. You can get great full games at that price point

And what about grasp of avarice? You don't even mention it. Did it came later?
Bungie: Let's celebrate by bringing back nostalgic / halo type weapons WooHoo
Bungie: And let's make them pay for it
The intro with the merch plug almost felt like asmr compared to Datto’s normal loud energy charged presentation voice.
"which does not have matchmaking"
This is always the issue I have with Destiny's activities.
Honestly the worst thing about using lfgs is you spent more time waiting on a team than actually playing the activity
I bought the $100 bundle on my PS5. Came with the whole getup. I personally think the 30th anniversary bundle alone shouldn’t cost $25. I think $15 is more reasonable.
1:07 " So what came for free in the 30th anniversary?"
*CABAL POD KILLS GUARDIAN*
Two manning it as two 3.0 voidlocks with just one thousand voices was a trip. Probably some of the most fun ive had for a dungeon
the random background gamer names is always hilarious! Mr. "MakeABootyClap"@2:52 ... LoL
Statistically I know I'm not alone.
prophecy dungeon, MUST HAVE;
black wax idol, a recognition letter from the Speaker and Shaxx's left horn in your inventory!
So indirectly the $30 is going towards those things as well.
my first Dares of Eternity run gave me an insane nostalgia rush, and it feels so, so good.
Hey Datto you missed two ghorn shots right next to the boss

In terms of content sticking around, the deadline to earn the Vidmaster seal is December 2022, meaning we have a full year of 30th anniversary content according to Bungie Rewards
Artifice armor isn’t worth it imo because you still need the energy to equip the mod. I basically always run out of energy before I run out of mod slots.
Exactly. It's just a lame excuse for Bungie to make people do master same with the triumph
@@akatoshmorgul9367 give us “enriched” weapons that can take adept mods smh

How do you get the instant items when you bought it? Like the cosmetics and weapons? I can't find anything to get. Or is everything that's supposed to be given all in the dungeon?
Do you get the season pass with this dlc?????
I understand not making Galla the MUST HAVE EXOTIC so that you dont HAVE to buy the pack, but it really just means you dont really need Galla as long as someone else brings it along for the Nightfall/raid whatever. In solo play I actually prefer using something else.
Seems like I'm there only one who didn't enjoy the dungeon. Played it twice, didn't enjoy either run. The sparrow part seems random and frustrating, especially when the cannon never quite launches me far enough. Got stuck in a respawning loop both times in the following encounter. The list goes on.
same, I agree with you
It's free right now on the Epic Games Store.
here in New Zealand the 30th bundle is $41.99 dollars and me being a 15yo and unemployed that's not something i can just pull out ass anytime i want so i won't be getting the 30th also beyond light that's $70 odd dollars so i also don't have that but i do have forsaken and shadow keep

You have to earn the marathon armor? Is there another set you can get because I got mine from just opening three boxes they gave me. I got marathon armor for each class
Hey Datto just letting you know that you missed two rockets at 6:21
I just think it's kind of ridiculous that new lights need to buy the forsaken pack in order to get access to all the subclasses. You can't call your game f2p if a lot of borderline necessities are locked into a discontinued expansion. Especially when it's still full price on steam
Do you have to play the dungeon to get the thorn armor? Or does that come with the 30 anniversary pack when you buy it?
What hand cannon were you using at the start?
I am wondering: is there an end date to the 30th Anniversary? I can’t really find one online, and don’t know if Gjallarhorn would be available in the future if we’re busy with other games at the moment. (Halo’s back, don’t judge meeee!)
It's an expansion, not a season or event. It's not going anywhere for quite a while.
I think of it like a paid event thats permanent (until it get DCV'd).
The only thing about the 30th anniversary I don't like is when you get calabrese'd out of the master dungeon during the fallen shield on the last one
I just got an Xbox Series X and transferred all my stuff over from my PS4, but yet the game is telling me I have to buy all the expansions again? Does content not transfer in that way or did I mess something up?

I’ve been struggling to get high light to be high enough light for the dungeon in the first place. Currently sitting at 1300 light and the dungeon recommends 1310. I was 1290 once the 30th anniversary dropped and I’ve been grinding the light levels to be able to play the dungeon without dieing with one shot
Same here
Ok, I personally can't really speak about if you should get it or not.
Also we are still laughing at the Xur line "Did you forget to say, No Whammies?"
For the loot side of the event, It's personal choice to be honest.
If someone doesn’t buy the anniversary pack, will they just not be able to get pinnacles from dungeons ? Or will prophecy still drop pins ?
My question is when witchqueen comes will we still be able to acquire these items that came with the update or will they go away.
For me it was worth it, especially since the dlc alone has more content than halo infinite right how…😭😭😭
Its sad ): I hope once forge comes out, a more social aspect comes into the game. Cause its like, I wanna do more with my spartan.
Theres no reason for dares to leave, its not a seasonal activty. Infact they could always increase the loot and update the chests
That intro made me feel like I was listening to NPR
Is 30th anniversary content staying on Witch Queen? Or does it have a due date?

I really hope they expand on xurs treasure hoard , use it to allow us to earn vaulted armour cosmetics , but I feel that its gonna be a 1 time hit that's it
it felt a little scummy that all those items at the bottom of xur's inventory just said "requires 30th anniversary pack" and then when you actually buy it, it suddenly goes "oh yeah you also need to complete all these specific triumphs to get these"
The question is…will there be any discounts for this christmas event? Or is it only for black friday?
I definitely played the game more during last season, probably because it took me longer to hit the light cap of 1320. This time around i only had to go 10 levels to 1330 on 3 characters. I think i took a pretty long break from like the Halloween event to the 30th anniversary.
Ya know Datto, I usually have your videos as something to listen to in the background because I like listening to the insight of a lot of Destiny content creators while I'm grinding, but man I'm so happy I got to witness you wiff 2 gjally shots and you telling me to shut up about it lmfao
when you live in a country where the steam regional pricing slashes the price of the pack to 60%, I'd say it's suuuuuuuper worth it
It was pretty worth it to me because I got the entire Witch Queen package for $85 from Fanatical for Black Friday, so I effectively only payed $5 for the premium 30th anniversary stuff. lol
Pretty funny how the purpose of this video in the title is to answer the question Datto won’t answer. Great work.
