About 20 years ago I decided to build my own house. I figured it would take me 12 months, about 15 months into the project I hit a wall and would work on the house for five hours after work and get about an hour of work accomplished. I finally had to take a few months off and couldn't even look at the house. I finished in just under two years. Anyone that has taken a project this big on knows how overwhelming it can be. Keep moving forward, you'll be there. This channel is one of my favorites because of the quality of work you guys do. Keep it up.

As someone who is 2.5 years into a refit that never seems to end, I can say your rate of progress has been, by all objective measures, amazing. From the ingenious foam hull form to the factory-look cabinetry, you will look back with pride on all that you are doing and realize THESE are some of your very best memories. It's just not what you planned, but you've gone down some remarkable rabbit holes and come out smelling like roses every time.

From all the sailing channels i watch(ed) the common factor is that EVERYONE underestimates the time it takes the refit/rebuild a boat. I have the same experience with building my own boat. You do everything in your own time and it's done when it's done not when the crowd out here thinks it should be done. Stay true yo your own values.

I can tell how proud you are of your girls, as you should be. I found this channel awhile back as I started watching videos of old jet ski repairs and making them showroom condition. When I found your channel and watched you do repairs on your current boat I was amazed! You all have come so far. Anyone who has any negative comments should try to walk in your shoes for awhile. I as a viewer of your channel love watching your repair of your boat and the different spin on what you do to make it a one of a kind and your own. Yes at some point I would love to see you sailing but I’m kind of dreading that day as I come here to watch the repairs and as a viewer I have no expectation on a timeline for them. I can’t believe you have got as far as you have in the time you have owned the boat. Keep moving along at the pace that works for all of you. Take a pause enjoy life. It all can’t just be work or you get burned out which is what I took away from this video. I’ll be here when you are refreshed and ready to dive back in.

We have been sailing now for 20yrs meany miles under our keels we have leaking windows and engines/ motors (for u Americans lol) we have nursemaid but remember one day on the water is better than one day in the office, keep strong love to you all❤

It is so inspirational to see how much effort the Dauntless crew has put into your boats and the videos over the years.
I can't believe you have been hitting it so hard for so long and still have so much energy to show us. we really appreciate you bringing us along on your adventure no matter how long it will take we will be here for you.
The journey is just as important as the destination all your memories you will create together bringing you closer as a family ( if thats more possible) love you guys.
We all get burnt-out at some point it is amazing how much you have accomplished never forget where you started when you feel like you are just spinning your tyres in the mud.
Keep up the great work and video

Love to watch you guys work on the boats since the first video I watched. Quality content and better than any sailing video... as much as it might not so satisfying for yourself. For us viewers it is amazing and satisfying. I can't wait to see the boat coming together with your unique style of solutions that I loved already on the 45 so much and why I always watch your videos first. Work on the boat rocks and is the most amazing content to watch.

Don't let the haters get you down.
I am an avid sailor. I absolutely love the boat life. Unfortunately, health and 4 bouts with cancer have sidelined my dreams. Not to mention my finances.
Your journey and videos give me hope. I have watched your journey from the beginning beginning. I love your videos. Trust me I live vicariously through you.
I don't know what the future holds for me, but I would rather die with dreams on the ocean than feeling useless on land.
Please don't stop. Live your life while you can. Enjoy all of it. . You never know when you may run out of the opportunity to do so. May God bless you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings about how things have gone and are going with the rebuild and refit of that big beautiful boat. It’s clear that it hasn’t been easy and that there is a LOT of work involved, not to mention the materials, experience, effort and costs associated with all of it. I can only wish you Godspeed and that things will work out so that you can continue the refit in time and then get to enjoy the lifestyle you have chosen on the water. For me personally I don’t have a boat and probably never will as we have chosen to live full time in a 42 foot Fifth Wheel in our retirement years. We will continue to support you with our views, likes and subscription throughout the journey.

Thanks for the sincere update on your situation, Here’s hoping that you can work away and complete the boat, great watching how you are so meticulous in the work that you do and explain the procedures so very well. Good
    Luck.
