I feel horrible that I came so late to the game when it comes to Jamie Lidell. I've only heard of him within the past six months (since February 2019) and he's so amazing as a British Soul Singer. I can't really imagine how he got overlooked during the Amy Winehouse explosion, as he is right in that genre. In 2008 when his "Jim" album came out, I was listening out for that kind of music and discovered Mayer Hawthorne and a few other acts. I think I may have seen Jamie Lidell's name but didn't get it at the time. 2008/2009 was the year my music tastes drastically changed so I'm surprised it took me a decade to catch up on this one. I love his Stevie Wonder meets Terrance Trent D'Arby vibe. As someone named "Julian" this song really does the name so much justice.
