For those not in the United Kingdom, this performance was 2 weeks after the 2017 bombing at the conclusion of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester (the Gallagher's home city) -- killing 22 and injuring more than 1000 . Within 3 days, it had, organically, become an anthem of unity and healing for victims, greater Manchester, the UK, and all those touched by the tragedy. I'm quite sure this was Gallagher's first public performance of the song following the bombing; a few days earlier (4 June 2017), Chris Martin of Coldplay sang it as a duet with Grande at the One Love Manchester benefit concert which Noel didn't attend (Liam did, instead). The audience overtaking vocal duties of the song wasn't their tribute to HIM -- Gallagher deferring the vocals to the audience was his tribute to THEM, his home city, and a nation that still needed healing. I got to see him perform it a month ago in Phoenix, Arizona, USA -- loved every second of it.
To think I'll be singing my heart out alongside 60 thousand people in Brazil next year... Already got a shiver down my spine. This song will live forever.
Only these couple of thousands people can tell their children and grandchildren that they've sung a karaoke version of "Don't look back in anger" with Noel Gallagher and band providing the background acoustics... What an amazing event!!!
Noel is absolutely amazing!! He has done some amazing songs and to let the audience sing like this is amazing top respect to him!!!! The only bad thing about this video is I'm not in it!!!! X
I feel like this song is ingrained on the British psyche. If that's the right way to phrase it. My son knows this song and he's 11. I asked why he sings it so fervently and he can't quite remember. It's just IN us now 🤣
This is the best I have ever heard a crowd sing, by far, the fact that he let them sing the entire song shows how good they did, he let them roll with it because they were nailing it, too cool. Also what an amazing venue, could someone tell me what this venue is, I see it’s London, but what theatre? Reminds me of the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
You'd have to have no brain and a heart made of stone not to be totally moved by being part of a crowd just belting out a song that means so much to every one of them. Watching it may not be as fun, I concede, but the point still stands.
Sounds like the tide going out - makes me sad heaing this now after all these years.....it was a song that heralded the end of a version of Britain...the UK of the 2000's is a nasty place and this tune is a reminder that things could have been so much better. But that ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
You know you are a true legend when you write a song, which you don't have to sing for the rest of your life because the crowd always does the job
Amazing... They only play the song
I would
say the same..
Correct 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I saw him in Chicago several years ago and it was the same.
This is London. This is biblical. Gotta love it. Thank's for sharing!
Why biblical? Is not in the Bible 🤷♂️

Anyone at this gig that didn't shed a tear is a stone.
Also, when he's like, can you keep going? And the audience is like I see your ten and raise you fifty 🤣
"Raise you fifty?" Try "All in!"
Pure goose bumps.❤❤❤
The hole song with perfect timing ... brilliant. Masterpeace.
Watched soo many live versions but this is something else...best crowd ever and no damn kids just filming it and doing nothing..special!
How do you think you're watching this video? It was one of those "damn kids filming it" and posted it here for you to see.. lol
Thks to that kid for this masterpiece
2nd best thing is being a rock star, the 1st is all the crowd singing your whole song to you.
From Arizona USA, well said
The drums here are just fu#$^ng great.
If there was ever an advert to convince Noel to get back on the road with Liam this is it!
i'd love to be at one of these shows again
When you only have to sing a couple words and the crowd swallows your heart
this is how i remember the peak Oasis shows in NYC. Pints flowing, everyone singing every damn word and magic in the air.
what a song!!!! amazing!!!Masterpeace
I love how Noel shrugs his head like "ok fuck it you sing"
Absolute hero

Wow. wow, wow
@Noel Gallagher, when are you coming to the Netherlands?????? We will welcome you, louder than this!
本人ほとんど歌って無いの逆に凄い。
第二の英国国歌ってホントだね。
The person himself hardly sang, but it's amazing. The second British national anthem is real.
Awesome.
best crowd ever
It is the greatest
Almost speechless here in Arizona. Absolutely amazing
Cukup Noel, cukup 2 baris kalimat saja kamu bernyanyi.. Selebihnya biar kami yang menyelesaikannya..😀😀
Salam dari Indonesia
Wow wow wow wow omg
No one does it better then the English!
So the whole crowd is English, hmm 🤔 I was there, very Scottish old boy 😆😆
Excepting the Argentinian Crowd at River PLate '09 in which made Noel almost cry of emotion, you should look at that concert :D
Argentinians... They does it better than anyone
WOW .....XXX
River plate stadium version forever.
I'd be pissed off paying to see him sing his most iconic song and he doesn't sing a quarter of it 😂😔
Niall Baskerville was totally worth it when I saw him
Niall Baskerville it’s called an atmosphere pal
Nah that’s what makes this song so special
As with all anthems, they are best when sung by the people!

please, akur lagi lah kalian.
What brothers Gallagher dont understand is that their music is bigger then themselfs...
The unofficial national anthem of England

Spot an African American and win 500 quid.
Doubt there’s gonna be an African AMERICAN at a concert in London lol
Imagine paying to sing all the songs yourself
カラオケ大会やん😆
Hah they had such a knack for crouds
Se copiaron de cantar toda la canción de los argentinos. Así como les copiaron el "aguante Megadeth"
Solo hay hombres?? que raro
BUT BUT BUT NOEL GIGS ARE BORING 🤪
Not the best version. HFB aren't as good as oasis
Perhaps that's because they're a different band :)
It’s way better than oasis
@@Broadcast1902 that makes no sense
