Thank you for not including glaringly loud and obnoxious "musical" loops to this tutorial.
When you search for this matter, this video must be shown in the first place.Compared to other videos on which they show tons of command lines you must enter, this video is unbelievably simple, thanks a lot!
I set up dual boot over 3 years ago, and have been wanting to remove Linux for about 6 months but I have been sure there would be problems and it would take me days of frustration to get anything working again. Turns out it just takes one excellent video and about 20 minutes for success. Thank you!
Britec09, your videos are short, up-to-the point, clear, interesting and so far every single item worked for me ! BIG THUMBS UP !!!
Genius! You keep giving us the BEST, easiest, and smartest solutions, Thank you so much!
This has literally saved my bacon. I installed video updates in Linux Mint in my dual boot system, and on reboot Mint was stuffed - couldn't get past the login prompt. I'm now back to square one and can re-install. Thank you!
Thank you so much! Literally after watching so many videos I came across this video and I gave it a shot .. it worked like a charm ! Very simple method !
Brilliant! Worked a treat - thank you for such an accurate and clear video.
Thank you for your excellent video! It is clear, concise, and coherent! I was able to completely remove Linux Mint 18 in about 2 minutes and can now create new dual-boot with Windows 10 and Linux Mint 20. Well done, sir!
Thank you. The video was very precise and clear on what needs to be done. I liked your voice aswell😊
Thanks :)
Britec09 does this AOMEI software work for UEFI setups too? Thanks for any suggestions
Thank you for the program recommendation. It may have saved me a night full of headaches.
Just excellent. Well presented concisely. Thanks Brian.
Glad you liked it.
@@Britec09 hey man some people are having proplems. Please help them
Quick, and to the point!
Thanks for the help, and liked you video.
I am surprised to see such a simple method also exists. I once removed my Linux by simply deleting the Linux partition and my laptop stopped booting due to grub bootloader. I looked on youtube and it showed cmd codes. I have never used cmd and so i had to take my laptop to care center to repair my laptop. Since my laptop is old i had installed Linux but removing it became such a headache for me. I was unable to use my laptop for a long time. Thank you so much for providing this simple method to repair mbr. You don't know how much this video will help anyone not familiar with cmd who will be looking to remove Linux for whatever reason. You are just amazing.
Thank Brian this is what i was looking for. Your video simple and precise to the point.
Many many thanks for this tutorial. I've destroyed too many Window installs trying to remove a Linux Mint install. This tutorial worked perfectly 1st time. Cheers! :-)
Worked like a dream -- thank you! This is the best explanation ever. Forget the geeks on their forums and their scary talk, just follow this exactly.
Thank you! This was surely very fast way to do this just what I needed in this hurry !
Awesome! I had this problem for a while and the half of my space wasted. Now my PC is fast again. Really appreciate it! Bests!
Another great instructive video Brian, thanks for the tutorial.
Perfect! Your method is working perfectly. Earlier I tried different methods and end up in grub error. After seeing this video I successfully deleted Ubuntu from my PC completely. Thanks
Jeganath Perialwar how dis you get grub error then boot back into windows to do this
Works like magic. Saved a lot of time. Thank you so much :)
Thank you for this instructional video on how to remove Linux from a dual boot in Windows 10. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 Pro on a Dell Latitude E6430 laptop and I prepared a bootable USB drive to be able to boot into the laptop. I had installed Linux Mint 19.2 on the USB drive. When I booted from the USB drive, Linux worked great. I tried several things to make sure it worked okay. Then, I double-clicked on the Install icon on the desktop. I went their the install instructions and I did not have any hiccups. After everything was installed, I rebooted the laptop according to the onscreen instructions. Once it booted up, I selected Linux to boot into. It never did boot into Linux. Instead, I got the following:
BusyBox v1.27.2 (Ubuntu 1:1.27.2-2ubuntu3) built-in shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
I then did a search for how to fix this and I came across an article to type in 'exit' and press the Enter key. I did this and it then proceeded to list a lot of things on screen. I did not take note of everything that was on the screen. At this point, I was and still am frustrated with Linux. If I can install Windows 10 Pro, why will Linux not install??? It makes no sense for Linux not to install when Windows 10 Pro installs just fine.
I really do want to be able to install Linux Mint 19.2 but I do not know where to begin to accomplish this goal after getting a lot of things listed on the screen that I have no idea what it is saying.
Worked perfectly for Windows 10 32 bit... Thanks a tonne bro :)
Thanks for the tutorial, I was finally able to remove Linux Mint from my PC. Although, I would recommend changing the boot order before doing any of this, as you'll boot up directly to Windows. For those using an Acer Aspire E 15 (any model), press F2 immediately when booting up to Windows to access the BIOS.
I have a Acer aspire... I couldn't see windows option in boot priorities order how to set then
So easy and wow, just wow! Thank you for this easy to follow Linux removal directions.
Thanks a lot man, worked like a charm. It almost gave me a mini heartattack when screen got stuck in "Getting windows ready for almost an eternity" after rebooting but it turnsout windows was installing some updates.
Small tip to those people who are using latest version of disk partitioner.
After selecting the drive and clicking on rebuild mbr -> see top left corner for apply button click on it for further steps as shown. (Just clicking on rebuild mbr won't do anything).
THANK YOU SO MUCH! You saved me from re-installing Windows 10!
wowww.. I'm speechless for this. hats off to you sir.. It worked for me in a very easy way. thank you sooo much
So nice, easy way without cmd.great video , love so well, thanks Brian.
Yeah keep it simple
thanks myan it worked for me finally this video been useful tried lot of others videos and my windows was boom dead and now

Thank you for this! It works perfectly.
Thank you for the functional manual how to uninstall 1 OS from dualboot.
Ur vids r rlly helpful m8! You might make mixed vids but they r helpful !! Thnx 😀😀👍👍
I like to mix it up.
Britec09 just like a dj
I can't believe it all your videos are useful thx again your videos help me
You're welcome
Worked like a charm. No need to screw around with Command Prompt.
thanks a lot, that's way easier than writing those stuffs in command prompt!
Thank you it worked perfectly!
Thanks man you. It has helped me a lot
Thanks man
That partition assistant tool was really helpful
Thanks a lot your video was very helpful
Works for me 👌excellent video. Kudos brother!
It works, but after reboot there is a ugly message for grub partition not found , if so, just reboot your machine again and get into the bios and change the boot order, set 1st Windows partition and that's it!!! save it and reboot.
How to do that facing same issue
Go to bios by pressing Delete or F12 or F8 or any of the F keys (depends on your motherboard), check for different tabs and see in which one it shows "Boot Priority / Boot Order".. For me it shows under a tab called "Peripherals"... Under there I selected WIndows, and it booted into my Windows.
Unfortunately, didn't work !
I go to boot order there is no windows nd Linux option how to set then
Dude windows boot loader doesn’t appear at bios for me, so I need to press always F12 to select the boot device, there it appears...
Worked without any issues. Thanks mate
Great Job Brian, Thanks
Very helpful 🤘 . Thanks a lot...
Omg, you saved me mate.🙏 Thanks very much for your video.👍🏼
Brilliant! Thanks Brian. My issue now will be how to install a Linux driver for my Tensa WiFi dongle!!
I am sure its possible
Hi Brian, I wonder if your Linux removal applies equally to Win 7 from a Win10/Win7 dual boot, please? Thanks and regards, JJ
Thanks. it worked for me
Everything worked out exactly as you instructed. One slight problem, which I don't know how to fix. I had two partitions on Drive C for Linux Mint 19.1 (Dual booting with Win 10) One 90g Linux partition and the other 1004 mgs I deleted volume 90g first. I couldn't delete the volume 1004 mgs it just said the word "Help." There no instructions which volume to delete first. Nevertheless I took a chance, and went through the rest of steps and everything worked out fine. I don't how to get rid of 1004 mgs partition which I presume is the Linux swap file. I will live with it for now". I enjoy most of your windows and linux instruction videos, easy to follow and clear and concise.
This is the most precise video i could ever find!
I ran into problems on how to install grub2 on linux and i suspected that something messed up when i was installing pop os alongside windows so I'm planning to uninstall it completely and start anew.
does that mean windows will run normally if grub bootloader wasn't installed successfully?
Thanks for the tutorial bro! You can uninstall Linux's Dual boot without any software.
Just before deleting the partitions you need to enter recovery mode by Settings>Update and recovery>Recovery (Under Advanced Startup Select "Restart") and select to boot with cmd.exe only (Not safe mode)
Write your password and press "Continue" button and then write "bootrec /fixmbr" and then press enter , after that you may need to fix your boot files by writing "bootrec /fixboot" and then pressing enter , if it didn't work or it said "Access is Denied" your system doesn't need any new boot files.
Write "Exit" and then go to your partitioning.
Hope it help.
@@moozzaatube5613 Does this work with GPT as well?
Thank you for such a helpful video
oh wow didn't actually believed that itll work but it did! thanks m8 :)
i did this and rebooted and nothing loaded so I tried re installing windows via USB and it wouldnt work so I pulled out the SSD i originally had win and manjaro installed on and left only the 500gb HDD, reinstalled windows on that and it worked. will try reformat the ssd via hdd to usb device and see if i can install windows back on it that way
This worked perfectly for me. Thank you!!
Thanks a lot. Worked like charm.
Worked perfect! When I updated Lubuntu 16 to 18, not only did the 18 freeze on me at the shutdown, (an error), my Duo Core was not able to handle it any better than Windows 10!
You are the life saver..❤️😎 thank you man
Actually I have a diiferent sort of question...I have Windows 10 and Linux mint dual boot.. I hate cinnamon desktop and want to move back to GNOME.. So how should i proceed for installing ubuntu instead of Mint..Help!!
Thanks, worked for me !! good video!!
Your video help me a lot.Thank You for video.
Thanks man, You saved my night
I can't select it, only options allowed are "help" and "convert to dynamic drive"
Will deleting it in boot option from BIOS Advanced Mode, do the same thing as that tool or the commands?
Brain does the same apply for dual booting with windows 7? When I delete the volume I have no option to extend when right-clicking C: I can only shirk the volume..Thanks
I successfully removed Ubuntu from my old system, since I'm going to use it on new system. Thanks. 😊
Worked flawless. Thx
Thanks, very helpful!
I tried this as I had Windows 10 and Manjaro Xfce, good instructions and a good video. But after using the utility to repair the MBR my machine would not boot into windows 10
I used the Windows Repair Disc also the Windows 10 Recovery Media Disc
Neither of them would repair even after diagnosing
So I went into CMD did the usual repair boot record, fix bootrec, etc, etc
In the end I had to do a clean wipe and restore Windows 10 from my image backup
Any ideas why the utility you used which was successful and for me it bricked my PC?
Thanks in advance
This was so easy, thanks much👍
Thank you! Quick and easy.
A sub right away...you are the best
I really enjoyed the extro
Because my problem finally got fixed
Thanks !
When you rebuild MBR do you select your drive with windows on it (for me it is my C: drive), or do you select your drive with Linux on it (for me it is my D: drive)
Rebuild MBR for the drive with windows on it
cuz you must have deleted your linux partition and you're fixing the windows 10 boot record
Thanks a lot brother... This video really help me
thank you bro It helped me a lot
Best video process completely worked for me
Many thanks. So we must install the free software manager partition before deleting linux in disk management.
U have to extend the video after reboot v should go to bio setup
And reboot it makes complete Ubuntu uninstall
This is the best solution. Thank you!
thx, worked like a charm !
after 2 steps, my pc starts into screen with grup> and I need to type 'exit' to boot into windows, any idea?
what if i didnt use grub ? should i skip the other step?
thanks, very helpful..
thank you so much. this was very helpful 💕💕
To get rid of grub you COULD also delete the EFI partition and generate a new one with diskpart and bcdboot from a windows cd, but thats dangerous and not recommended as you will end up messing arround with diskpart.
*DOUBT: my disk is GPT. I have installed the software and it is showing "rebuild MBR" . Should I proceed in the same way as shown in the video? Will there be any problem (I have a genuine OEM version of windows)*
Very thankful for this video.
This video is not GPT/UEFI, table partition is MBR. Partition EFI is 100MB, partition MSR is 128MB and not formated.
very very useful..i have wasted many PCs due to grub load problem
While extending volume it says 'Not enough space available on the disk to complete the operation', although I have 281GB available ont the disk and unallocated space is of 280GB. BTW my C drive is SSD so I am extending my D drive. HELP?
thanks for this video brother
now my pc is even faster on windows
idk ho to thank you
this is the best video for the purpose
It works.. Thanks dude
Thanks for video, it really helped me!!!!!!!!! thanks again
My pc now fails to boot. Did exactly as in the video. I get the motherboard logo followed by a split second text "failure reading sector..." and then a command prompt "grub>" with following text above it:
"GNU GRUB version 2.02 beta2-36ubuntu3.14
Minimal bash-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions."
Great Tutorial!!!!
Wow worked in windows 8.1 too , thanks for the easiest way 💯👏👏
