Probably quite unsurprisingly, this video was heavily inspired by Jet Lag: The Game. You should watch that if you haven't! It's a great series.

Absolutely excellent edit, the Jet Lag music really made this something special! Your work has not gone unnoticed Nick. This was great fun to watch and made the most recent Jet Lag season look even worse and more boring than I already thought it was!
One question as someone else asked though; you didnt explain enough about this game. Like who made it, more details about how it works etc. With that this video wouldve been perfect

Great to see you in my city, I hope you both had a great time. A bit late now but you could’ve found a drawing of a Beatle in either the Beatles shop or the cavern club.
Great concept, great execution. I think you may have missed one trick during your half hour wait in Southport: at Southport Town Hall, a 7 minute walk from the station, is a blue plaque dedicated to F.J. Hooper, a member of Robert Scott's expedition to the South Pole, which would have been worth 5 points according to the on-screen card earlier in the video!
With the over a half-hour, you should've walked to Meols Cop & got the train back.

A bit random but as I went to The Ffestiniog Railway yesterday, I found a perfect pointless journey: Minffordd (Transport for Wales) to Minffordd (Ffestiniog Railway) they are right on top of each other so it’s perfect.

12:43 - If you recorded on Saturday 13th, the Air Show was on. If it was a while earlier, there was some sort of rave event on.
Also, for a bit of trivia, look out between Southport and Meols Cop stations. You'll pass under a bridge and there will be a gap in the tracks, just before a pub. That is where the platforms used to be for Southport St Luke's station! It was closed because of the Beeching Cuts. There was quite a lot of stations in Southport that were closed because of the cuts, and I'm thinking of making a series on it potentially.

I was a signalman on Wirral and Northern Lines back in the past. Gave up driving 12 years ago. Only use trains and buses now.. Great viudeo again. Really enjoyed it. There is no sea at Southport. I live there.
Going to Southport for the rock/sea challenge seems unnecessary. Could have done that at new Brighton. Then train down to rock ferry train station which actually isn't in rock ferry. And if you had the meal deal you could have made the train journey on a West Kirby train to Meols
The Meols on Wheels challenge was to transport a meal deal from Meols to Meols cop or vice versa so we would have had to go to both of them anyway so hence the Southport, plus as you’ll see in the next episode there was another 15 point task (visiting Lawnmower museum) in Southport

I didn't remember them saying meols at the start. I don't know why it didn't register.
I would have gotten the bus to Birkenhead (walking through Matthew Street to get a photo of a drawing of a Beatle), gone to new Brighton for the rock and touching the sea, then to rock ferry then went to meols starting the meal deal task.
Then the task of crossing the mersey via road and rail would be complete too.
When was this filmed?
Really enjoyed the video and really does remind me of Jet Lag: The Game. Some of the challenges names are funny as well

Were you allowed to get a bus to Meols Cop or the Lawnmower museum when your train got cancelled or wasn’t there a bus alternative? Only been to Southport once!

Brilliant video Nick, some of these challenges sound brilliant, shame about the broken escalators and the one cancelled train though. I honestly thought the PEP trains would all be gone by now.

You should do this kind of challenge with every city in the UK.
I'd love to see the ones for small cities like St Asaph and St Davids.
Or the cities in the overseas territories, like Hamilton or Jamestown.
@@DitzyNizzy2009 I literally suggested this idea so they could get to St Asaph and St Davids; the challenges there would be so much fun to watch. However, now you mention overseas territories, Jamestown in St Helena would be insane, especially with Jacob's Ladder (a very steep staircase overlooking the city) involved. Interestingly, St Asaph has a café by the cathedral called Jacob's Ladder; not nearly as dramatic, but you can get some quality cake and coffee there.
Big fan of the video however going to the Wirral and Southport is definitely entering “wal” territory in my opinion. Merseyside Mayhem would be a preferred title for me
