Let’s correct something here. The word disability is NOT a bad word!! Us members of the disability community are proud of who we are!
Go girl!
Yes - and the one coach was ignorant " it probably does more for us than it does for the dancer" - yikes! Why dismiss the dancer's pride in her self with a statement like that? The coach gave her an opportunity and worked with her, just like she does for all her dancers. What does this coach think? That she's the star of the show? (Yes - SMH) Rude! And so discriminatory towards disabled students!
@@heyokakoyeh & @blumberg1982 : Perfectly put. Disability is nothing to be ashamed of and the coach's comment totally reminded me of how many times I've heard abled people react to people with disabilities achievements with something along the lines of "This inspires me so much" or "I really have no excuse" - can some people not acknowledge people with disabilities without comparing them to themselves?
My late mother used to always say that down syndrome children are literally Angel's walking amongst us. They are so pure an innocent an just beautiful. I believe what my momma always said. Young lady you are a beautiful dancer.
She's such a beautiful dancer
Im very proud of her for dancing and following her dream. Its great she has the support.
Precious girl brings a special light to her family and community!

It was amazing! I cried watching it. I work with special needs 18 to 22 year old and they are so special to watch. Way to go sweet heart. I even got to tell her she did amazing❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Making TEAM. I got chills. Well deserved, accolades, Young Lady. Pave the way.
I see no disability Bree, you are a young lady with different abilities that I pray one day I may achieve. As a dancer, I always wanted to be free from the eyes and thoughts of others and you just went out there and proved it is possible. Thank you for your joy of life and the huge smile you put on this old man's face. You are an Angel! A big virtual hug from this old Canuck.
Congratulations Bre ❤! You go on shining girl!
She dances straight from the heart. That is what makes her an amazing dancer.

Love this 🫶🏼🩵I would love to see the full performance! Or see some competition footage from her studio ?? 🤍 either way love the positivity in the dance world these days, it use to be such a negative place where others would hate on eachother but I’ve noticed how much more accepting it has become!! This amazing and what a beautiful girl she is ✨
wonderful report but I wish they has shown Bre's performance in full not just talked about it
Yay Bree! Love you!

Wonderfully talented. Keep being the amazing dancer that you are. And congratulations 🎉🎈on your Sr year in HS. I hope it will be happy and fulfilling. Much success to you in all your future endeavors. 😊
I hate how news stories structure these disability stories. We hear everyone talking about her, but not so much her talking at all! Let her have a voice!
just what I was thinking!
As someone with a disability, I completely agree! I clicked on this thinking that I was going to be able to see Bree’s performance, but instead it was just everyone else talking **about** her, while she stood there uncomfortably.
@YellinUpAStorm Maybe that is all she was comfortable with.
Breezy gave an awesoe performance!
That amazing congratulations let’s dance girl so happy for you
Most children with a 'disability' have an ability far beyond most other people. I met an autistic young boy when he was about three. By the time he was in grade school he excelled in music. He wound up leading the school choir. He went on to do the same in the upper grades.
A lovely story but I would have liked to see more of her dancing! I also was amazed that a "Fox" news channel could present a story of inclusion, tolerance, compassion and diversity! When the mainline channel so frequently provides the public with exactly the opposite kind of coverage, I would like to congratulate the Utah channel for their excellent coverage!
Go Bree!! You Rock!! 🎊🎉🎉🎊
Lots of people have amazing talents whether they face physical, emotional or mental health challenges. Take your talent, practice and expand upon it. You can accomplish many wonderful things. I'm 57 and have yet to discover my talent. I have every confidence that young Bree. will achieve all her hopes and dreams. 🍀🍀🍀🤞🤞🤞👍👍👍👌👌👌😁😁😁
Wish we could watch her entire performance! The clips looked awesome!
Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐
💜💜💜💜💜💜 A beautiful story!!!
Yay Bree! You go girl!

It’s a little disappointing that you split up her performance with sound bites. I would have enjoyed seeing the whole thing.
She’s so cute…
Wtg beautiful ❤🙂
We support this DEI and applaud the man that wants to dismantle it? For many the cognitive dissonance is must be rich.
It's so not the same thing.
👏👏👏👏👏👏🧡💜❤️💚💙😊
Amy, you are so elegantly beautiful, enjoy your news feeds.
Less yakking and more dance. 🙄
❤❤❤❤
