I've been using that software for a while now and have the best mixes in my career so far and landed the biggest album so I can safely say it works. However just like anything you need to be constantly using it and learn the sound like the back of your hand
Hey, can you tell me which presets did you decide to go with and learn?
This plugin helps a lot : we know our music will finish in two options : smartphones or cars (no bass or too much bass 🤣)
can't mix without Realphones now. Also will never go back to listening to music for pleasure without this software. 'Pleasure Listening' from the 1.8 legacy presets is my personal fave.

I have a very poor acoustic space at home and thats why I've been using my speakers less and less as I have been using the V1 for about two years and I can say the V2 is a MAJOR, major upgrade in terms of sound. The new environments just sound uncanny in many cases and the different modes in each environment offer super useful perspectives into the mix and individual elements. The version 2 is really worth every penny.

Got this after trial for a week. It's invaluable. Your comment about how it "wakes you up" to issues you may not have noticed after long sessions is right on the money.
Something the product industry should always be working on is better headphone mixing solutions.
The number of professional mix engineers with big studios that will undoubtedly travel at times need it just as much as us on a budget

Using it. With calibrated headphones of course. In my opinion it’s overestimated. But it is better than nothing.

Sennheiser is better indeed, but beyerdynamic phones are pretty flat, they have a pronounced high though

Yes it does, altho' some HP amps and monitor controllers now have that option (which I personally don't like that much)

I have been mixing with the CLA-Nx by Waves and the Sony MDR7506 for a while, I like it but haven't tried any alternatives yet. What do you think of the CLA-Nx?

Correction? You most likely want 100% (and genre doesn't matter) that's what makes your hp linear

How does this compare to Sonarworks SoundID Reference with the Virtual Monitoring Add-on?
Sonarworks Sound ID is much better for headphone frequency correction, but Realphones is better at simulating spaces and environments. The good news is, you can use both at the same time as system-wide (that's what I do) to get the best of both worlds.
What is in this plugin turns out to be a simulation of different audio spectrums in your headphones. If anyone is using this (similar to the Abby Rhodes 3 plugin) the best quality headphones are essential, and most importantly, you need to be able to hear your mix from monitors as soon as possible, which will sound far away from you.
You're missing literally half of the plugin
Without dedicated hardware for the software, you're just getting phasy room noise. That's why Slates VSX wipes the floor with these "Calibrated for different headphones" software packages like this, waves and similar software only "room emulations".

Try it for yourself. It's extremly realistic.

I have Sienna and I am a big Acustica Audio fan. But Realphones is soooooo much better.
I uninstall Sienna. But it have almost no effect on my AKG K 812, because its linear right of the box.
So much environments will make the new mixer even more confused! Tech is nice but too much tech will work against you!

Let me show you how idiot your comment is before sending you back to gaming: the fact that I am lucky enough to be able to work (note: work as in making my living off my mixes and mastering hence not needing to "sell out" to anyone, and it has been the case for decades) in not one but two professional studios, doesn't mean that I'n not aware that many of my followers do not have that option. Hence, I'm here helping them and showing how they can make things easier IF they have no other option other than mixing on headphones. Because my gaming friend, I don't sell plug-ins.
