Didn’t know Polaris lance or jade rabbit was apart of the meta. Bout to go try them out and also thanks for the info and nice video as always keep up the good work cammy💪🏾
Jade rabbit to me is just nf with infinite range. It doesn't even have to be at 40+ meters, the low zoom combined with the high AA makes it extremely easy to use at medium ranges, especially on controller, you can honestly sub it for a hand cannon. The low handling can be combatted in a number of ways, and I've found I can hit body shots in the air fairly reliably with it (though I don't recommend air dueling with scouts)
The 150 from old iron banner has a pretty sticky reticle too if you have one kicking around. 150 scouts are slept on imo, then again anyone can just slap on dead mans
It funny how people still complaining about hunters(excluding strand). Hunters are more numerous but warlocks and titans can be more deadly in the right hands.
Anyone can be more deadly with something if it’s in the “right hands”. Efficiency and consistency is best and hunters have the best consistency across all game modes. Just playing the class nets you a better KD every game According to d2 tracker and crucible report
I truly believe Suppressor Grenades are the best in the game. The option to say no to any ability including supers is so strong on it's own, but when you are good enough with the bounce of it then it is as lethal as a grenade launcher as Cammy said.
I just put together an Arc titan build with fence feedback and the dead messenger (Arc) and synchronic roulette (target lock, pulse monitor roll). Arc is build around. This build in PVP in menacing.
Cammy, you forgot about the super-long range option, hung jury. Box breathing + no distractions = easy three tap in under 0.7 seconds. The cost is having to wait a little bit before you peek.
I highly recommend looking through your vault for a good roll on a 260 scout, which would just be as much handling as possible and perks that actually help. The high rate of fire makes it hard to fight and extremely forgiving to use, and I promise the shots you're going for will be much easier to hit that whatever you're fighting at long range. The ttk is good enough and it's 3 crit 2 body plus a lot of them can roll with kill clip. 200s are great too because of the lightweight bonus and a faster 4 crit kill, plus tarnished mettle can roll with EP. Still, getting a surplus 260 with handling MW and fluted barrel and even snapshot just let's you bully anyone on your screen at long range. Been using servant leader with ikelos.
@@minty9880 can be but as a hunter (g forefit invis) i find many snipers can't do shit other than disengage in a straight up duel long range. Getting dinked through flinch is a lot more rare these days but even before you could bully snipers off lanes with a 260, especially with high calls and especially especially if you use symmetry. That thing flinches in a wierd *atipical* way (side to side instead of up and down) and you charge revolution stacks for the ark seeker stalemate breaker.
Aisha's Embrace is where it's at for Scout Rifles. Highest stability in the game, up to 80m in range, insane stats in rumble with Alacrity but also just in general one of the best TTK's for scouts with multi-kill clip. Goes from a 0.93, 0.70, 0.47. 5 tap down to a 3 tap at any range. Generally speaking though the 0.70 4 tap is what you will be getting most of the time. Not to mention with all the best in class stats you can actually strafe with the gun and go up against snipers with ease.
Antares wards are going to be p4oblematic but anteaus combine with a fusion is nightmare fuel. Putting Kickstart on the iterative loop was a wtf moment for me. It completely breaks the archetype.
Back before the notswap modifier in trials, I was swapping from Antaeus Wards and glacioclasm, and cuirass, it was so much fun, it was so easy to ape and at least get two kills and in trials it was so beneficial, “2 for 1” as shaxx has said..
Grenade launchers are so good right now. They are good at weakening a smg push for cleaning up with a primary, and even the slightly lower amount of shotguns has made point blank nade->melee way more useable
I'm not a titan player by any means but I was looking to put together a few builds for the few times I play titan in 3v3s and the one exotic I hadn't seen much of was Anteus Wards. I put those on and holy shit they slap. Even against snipers you can slide, turn to them and try to go for a relatively safe shot for pretty much free. It's what I run now for my Titan so I'll definitely try out a fusion.
Screw that dude, fusion mains are cancer to this game. It's one of the easiest guns to use in the game. I don't even use them for that reason alone and the times I do put it on I remember how brainless they are to use. Literally anyone can go flawless with a main ingredient or Jotun. It truly ruins all the hard work and training I put into weapons that don't rely on 1 shot special bullets. An absolute slap to your face.
I'm with OP 100%. You can play whatever you want, but nobody has the right to belittle someone when that person makes stronger choices and wins because of it. No such thing as game balance through bullying. Got kinda angry about Cammy relating how much more hatemail he gets on Antaeus in another video for the same reason--not sure I'd choose differently in that situation, but man, people are dumb.
Always interesting to hear about how busted snipers are on PC. On console, where the connections aren't as good/player skill on average is a bit lower, Fusions and Le Monarque are absolutely everywhere.
I don't have any disagreements, but I do have additions here that I've personally noticed (keeping in mind I don't do Uber high level scrims nor go out of my way for Trials). 140s I still think are more than solid picks overall simply because their only weakness period is a 100% crit 0.87. I've found they're still perfectly capable as an in-between of the SMG bullshittery and Pulses/120s. Oftentimes what I've noticed is that the flinch tends to determine it, shoot first and the flinch is enough to take a straight fight, shoot second and the flinch tends to screw you. IMHO, I think reducing flinch given and taken by HCs is a play to buff them, not adjusting other aspects. Speaking of 120s, I'm surprised they aren't getting attention here. 1 second TTK is somewhat overridden by a high ease of use and massive flinch output in more direct fights (on top of most hitting the upper tier of Pulse range before Falloff). I've noticed more Round Robins than No Times, if not high impact pulses this season, for what it's worth. I think in the now, 450 ARs are a thing to keep an eye on, too, especially if there's more blanket AR buffs. They're a 0.67 all heads under 6 Resil already, and pretty much any chip damage or damage buff sends it over that edge, and most are hitting falloff at or slightly below 140 ranges. I don't know about super Uber meta, but I think they'll be a go-to for dueling. On the AR subject, if the leaks are true, Rapid ARs replace Aggressive SMGs not named Target Lock Immortal (assuming Target Lock stays). Leaks have the 0.67 only up to 189 health on Aggressive SMGs, and the Rapid ARs are mostly hitting in the mid-20 meter ranges with more lax falloff and similar recoil, only downsides are more zoom (worse for closer ranges) and slower handling in general. That's for next season, but before the Immortal fuckfest really started, I was going to town on Rufus, so might be something to watch. As for specials, I'd be gleeful to see GLs be gutted to the point of uselessness against guardians, but that's unlikely to happen. I think they're the best overall since they blint crazy well and can hit for over half health in any situation without much aim required, plus no airborne penalty that I'm aware of. I think people overestimate the Rapid Fusion buff. All it's really doing is bringing Rapids up to current HIR standard, Rapids with HIR (or technically Liquids) perform like a standard Rapid will post-buff, they aren't crazy broken imo. Anteus is something that I think screams demanding a rework. I'm not sure if they ever removed the full damage invulnerability on slide, but especially now that the penalties are gone, it's a free win condition, especially since you can still activate Shoulder Charge out of a slide for some godforsaken reason. And I'll leave my hotbed of takes people will lambast by saying the Strand Hunter helmet will probably be the play for exotic. Woven Mail on Grapple plus flinch reduction with it active is too much of an upside to easily pass up, even with the St0mps change that I'm probably going to call an overall buff.
Given that your prediction is correct, wouldn't the current meta anchor weapons, like jade rabbit or Polaris lance, benefit from the massive range diff.
I know it’s not a special, but I’ve been using the bow “under your skin” with the immortal and my goodness it is so effective at just mowing down people.
Solar warlock is mid as hell for neutral play. The super is definitely S tier. No doubt. But the problem is neutral play. All they have is a nice movement tool, icarus dash. The subclass is heavily oriented around gunplay with a bit of healing. As far as lethal/damage abilities go, they are incredibly mid. The aspect that buffs your grenades doesn’t do much at all. Solar nade, easy to avoid. Firebolt, they were good with a coordinated team but recently got nerfed. Healing, nice choice, not useful for damage obviously but nice extra healing. Fusion nade, can be powerful for sure. But when you use that aspect, you are sacrificing the extra airborne effectiveness from heat rises. I feel like icarus dash and hr should have been 1 aspect with another aspect that brings back the old solar warlock. Something like, when you heal your allies, you get ability energy back. And a passive thing like “all healing you apply is increased”. I would appreciate a “healing” aspect for solar warlocks because the extra healing from touch of flame with healing nades is not enough to justify it being the “healing class” Anyway I digress. The titan and hunter kit has more lethal options and I just feel like solar warlock REALLY lacks any “damaging” abilities that you can rely on.
Thank god someone else recognizes how dominated the meta is by Titans and Warlocks. As a hunter, I cannot explain how often I am literally just entombed by the pressure the other two classes emit. You have to play absolutely perfect to stop other players whose only requirement is to just wait.
Yeah it used to be hunters and titans oppressing the shit out of Warlocks but now it's definitely hunters at the bottom of the food chain. But Warlocks don't come close to titans still
I've been using the secret sauce you talked about at the end. It'd be nice if you didn't let everyone else know though lol. Great video as always. Conditional Finality is an awesome weapon which offers a very unique tool to your loadout.
Eye of another world 20s firebolts is my go to, easy heal from heat rises constantly too 1 minute heat rises uptime all on my own is not ok, majority of the match can be played heat rises and discount healing grenades always being there is insane, phoenix dive if needed as well
I know nobody wants to grind dares for it, but Legal Action II with Arrowhead, Surplus + Frenzy is an insanely good pulse. Killing in 2 bursts aint a challenge with 100 recoil direction and 88 stability
We might be in the least aim-intensive meta ever seen; target lock SMGs, high impact pulses with headseeker and outrageous aim assist, GLs being good, shotguns being good again, scouts like Jade that also have extreme aim assist on long range and a lot more. I’m not a big HC fan but the current meta feels extremely boring in terms of mechanical skill and I wish we’d see some changes to how many weapon types are both *extremely* easy to use AND *extremely* effective.
You're gonna sit there and act like upper 90s AA value HCs with eye of the storm and opening shot isn't just as cheesy as a scout with good AA and stability
@@Michael-ne2bl Not really, but at least they introduce a more interesting movement and swapping aspect by virtue of not being 70 meters away while fighting. Honestly, I am all for lowering the aim assist of every gun at this point, high AA handcannons included, though the outliers obviously should be nerfed more than most.
I already fought a 91 range slide shot plug one with anteus wards on burn out. I am decent at the game. I got shut out, I couldnt find a way to counter it. Glad to know it is actually broken.
I went through all of Iron banner with Seventh seraph carbine, Target lock pushes it to 0.67 TTK. - Edit: Didn't find out about this until after trials.
I suck at SMG/Snipers so my META (Most effect tactic available) for me is Last Word/Aisha's Embrace on Void Warlock. Personally find Last Word to be competitive still out to about that 25m range to match most SMG's. Then my scout is effective out to about 75m and I have a god roll on it so it's deadly. TTK of 0.70 after 1 kill. So it's lane holding potential is solid. TTK wise I'm looking good and both guns have amazing perks for 1v1 fights. Then Voidwalker adds on to all that with Child of the Old Gods weakening enemies and giving me ability energy, vortex grenade is great damage and pulls people out of cover like barricades and the pocket singularity melee can be tossed around corners for some sneaky clean up kills and has some insane reach on it for a melee. Of course I have Nova Bomb on too so I can shutdown supers or clean up an entire team capping a zone. For me this is my Meta, LW/Scout, Void and just playing within my ranges. A lot of it comes down to finding those 1v1's which my build dominates at and avoiding groups. Also knowing what lethal looks like for my damage factors, so knowing when a 3 tap is possible with LW or knowing when I have multi-kill clip up on my scout so I know I can get a 4 tap. Also this is rare but I've had the occasional team shot work in my favour and when I reload my scout it gave me three kills for MKC which is a 3 tap, 0.47 TTK at all res levels to 75m lol. You get that and for those few seconds you become a god on that lane. Oh and I still abuse Ophidian Aspects for that free handling and reload.
meta is not an acronym, unless you're trying to assign it a backronym after the fact. it is short for "metagame" which was coined by Magic: The Gathering's designers back in the 90s
Completely agree on anteus, especially with overshields. That needs to not be a thing. Disagree on the reign of fire. That’s a very advanced build. Fighting lion has never gained popularity and it’s been potent since conception so I think we’re safe from most wannabe Epic Defender types
Same as last season. 750s. Bungie knew they were broken, and simply kept them broken this season. Easier than having to rebalance everything, while they nerf all the smgs
@@vuixzi you don't have to go to the skybox to dodge a jotunn pal. Simple jump and a burst to the side is all it takes, or a hunter dodge, or a titan thruster or taking cover. Literally one of the easiest weapons to dodge.

If I was still playing, I would be using Fighting Lion with Immortal. I used to pair FL with Extraordinary Rendition, and it was phenomenal. Immortal kicks it up a few notches. Also I am extremely happy you are using Feedbacks. Wormy knows how much I used to use them before I quit.
@@yeeterMcgee but 140s currently sit perfectly between 120s and 180s. It's the 120s that got fucked over with the 2 tap nerf and the 180s that haven't been good in years. Also, 120s don't 1 head 2 body. It's 2 head 1 body so how should 140s be able to do the same at base?
Fighting Lion is generally a must have if you plan of doing that build on Warlock. You can just float around in the sky raining nades down on people and FL has unlimited ammo so even if the match or round goes on for a long time you don't have to worry about running out of ammo.

I’ve put 200 kills on Polaris lance in a single weekend. Once you get used to the zoom, you can use it at close range and it’s insane.
Stopped playing D2 pre witch queen, I still enjoy seeing this kind of content though
My opinion has arrived at last
A dope video for anybody that took a break from Destiny.
About the GL talk, there are not gentlemen in the Asia server so everyone crutches on Wave GLs and Fighting Lions.
they already caught up on the strat
Waves have always been great
Rat King/Explosive Personality is my "maniacal laughter" loadout when I do 6s
This isn't to say playing meta on sniper smg peacekeeper titan isn't way better especially with these damn maps
Cammy I think you forgot to talk about athrys’s embrace for hunters too.
Ssssshhshssshsshhssssshssshhssssssshhh!!!! 😂
Antares wards are going to be p4oblematic but anteaus combine with a fusion is nightmare fuel. Putting Kickstart on the iterative loop was a wtf moment for me. It completely breaks the archetype.
It's so dumb
Around 14:00 cammy taught me geometry once again
I'm surprised frost-ee5 aren't used more with strand hunter...makes it so you can grapple almost all of the time.
Shut up, i dont want to frost-ee5 being nerfed. That's the only thing that makes the stasis hunter viable. AKA: Duskfield grenade spammer.
3 seasons later and this is still half of the meta
Good guns will never not be meta
Health should not be tied to stats - period. Every class should have exactly the same health in pvp, no matter the resillience number.
Nah it adds depth
I'm a fusion main and what Cammy said about fusion is so true people got to give up on morals and just game
I'm on PS4 and hard agree. I am REAL sick of losing to Yotun and Monarch in Iron Banner and Trials. Skilless people I swear...
I would appreciate a “healing” aspect for solar warlocks because the extra healing from touch of flame with healing nades is not enough to justify it being the “healing class”
Anyway I digress. The titan and hunter kit has more lethal options and I just feel like solar warlock REALLY lacks any “damaging” abilities that you can rely on.
14:57 cammy shoulder charges a hunter, the cooldown gets used and the hunter takes no damage
Thank god someone else recognizes how dominated the meta is by Titans and Warlocks. As a hunter, I cannot explain how often I am literally just entombed by the pressure the other two classes emit. You have to play absolutely perfect to stop other players whose only requirement is to just wait.
In 6v6
Yeah it used to be hunters and titans oppressing the shit out of Warlocks but now it's definitely hunters at the bottom of the food chain. But Warlocks don't come close to titans still
I've been using the secret sauce you talked about at the end. It'd be nice if you didn't let everyone else know though lol. Great video as always. Conditional Finality is an awesome weapon which offers a very unique tool to your loadout.
People are sleeping on bows, oathkeeper strand hunter with a hipfire grip under your skin can hit headshots from 40 meters just from the hip
Ive been having a blast using a box breathing hung jury to surprise 150 scout or NTTE users
It catches me off guard every time I need to stop playing around and get it
Eye of another world 20s firebolts is my go to, easy heal from heat rises constantly too
1 minute heat rises uptime all on my own is not ok, majority of the match can be played heat rises and discount healing grenades always being there is insane, phoenix dive if needed as well
Very well done video, you covered all bases.
Still wondering if you’re ever gonna make that video of the new hunter exotic helmet
20-minute video from Cammy, Da Gawd......and it still don't feel long enough 😅😅
@@Michael-ne2bl Pulses especially 340 are easier to use, have more range, better TTK, NO FLINCH. The only way to win vs a pulse is peek shooting.
I already fought a 91 range slide shot plug one with anteus wards on burn out. I am decent at the game. I got shut out, I couldnt find a way to counter it. Glad to know it is actually broken.
8:41 me with my sunset kill clip tarara gaze, and a sunset drop mag opening shot snapshot bite of the fox: 😈
I don't think there's much they can do to antaeus unless they tie it to a class ability, or completely redesign it.
heritage with offhand strike is a sleeper meta IMO
You can pair it with a gutshot ZB to shoot one body shot with ZB and follow up with heritage on all resil levels.
Yeah def. Cam mentions it at 7:25
I went through all of Iron banner with Seventh seraph carbine, Target lock pushes it to 0.67 TTK. - Edit: Didn't find out about this until after trials.
Wait really? It's a .8 ttk normally. That sounds like cap imo.
@@theveryamericaneagle3657 More specifically its T8 and below is 0.67, T9-T10 is still .8
@Chiyumee oh okay thanks for that info.
Sure? It starts with a 0.8 TTK and of 7 bullets the last 2 or 3 get the target lock damage buff on the lowest tier.
borealis just feels good and i seem to hit alot more no scopes with it
Its wild that the difference between the range of immortaland the average hand cannon is only 10 metres at most
I suck at SMG/Snipers so my META (Most effect tactic available) for me is Last Word/Aisha's Embrace on Void Warlock.
@@life-destiny1196 Meta is indeed an acronym. Why do you think we say Meta when talking about the best thing to use at a certain time.

Great vid. Always a different view, with reasoning to back it up. Gg's
Thanks. Very comprehensive.
was the blink launch at 2:34 on purpose? that was clean
Nailed it on the head, nicely analyzed.
Completely agree on anteus, especially with overshields. That needs to not be a thing. Disagree on the reign of fire. That’s a very advanced build. Fighting lion has never gained popularity and it’s been potent since conception so I think we’re safe from most wannabe Epic Defender types
Nice!... In another note, I wish there was some more long distance/open maps. Something Like those D1 long maps that were available.
During his Fighting Lion game on Jav-4. How does he have two grenade charges with feedback fence?
Same as last season. 750s. Bungie knew they were broken, and simply kept them broken this season.
Easier than having to rebalance everything, while they nerf all the smgs
Arc vs Void Borealis? Which one is better?
Couldn't agree more with everything you said, saw you were using double special in PVP with the witherhoard and fusion lol breaking ankles
Dang, I’m already a fusion main, and I switched to antaeus to counter smgs and it’s been pretty great
if meta is easy to execute with high rewards...

Except now your stuck in the air and the rest of the other team is teamshotting tf out of you
@@vuixzi you don't have to go to the skybox to dodge a jotunn pal. Simple jump and a burst to the side is all it takes, or a hunter dodge, or a titan thruster or taking cover. Literally one of the easiest weapons to dodge.

Thank you for educating us
4:07 .... i was away for a long time so now I'm coming back.... (times of Not Forgotten, Trust, Dust Rock Blues)
is it really that hard to use HCs right now? or is it still like "the meta wins" kinda type. cuz hell i can't fight with hand cannons
I'm surprised the PVP community isn't up in arms over the fact that they haven't gotten a new map in like 8 months...

14:58 destiny being destiny
I threw on cloud strike just to finish the catalyst but when it clutched me a round in comp on a 1v3 and they tried to rush oh my. After that I said yea im using this now 🤣
Exactly cloudstrike is deadly in PvP. I’ve won some rounds in trials by just getting a twofer with the lighting strike.

Cammy always using the W emblem in these videos, real!!!!!
Thanks for the heads up
Hi Cammy! Do you have any advice for aspiring youtubers? I'm struggling to make content with how awfully slow my pc is (any edit like 3 layers deep just crashes my editing software), and it feels difficult to write scripts for things too. Any rough advice? I'd also love to see any tips you have in a full video.
Best way to shoulder charge is when u are riding your wave frame 👌👌surfin time
I’m sorry, but every time I hear of Borealis, I just think of that one Simpsons meme:
Aurora Borealis? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen?
Lol
If I was still playing, I would be using Fighting Lion with Immortal. I used to pair FL with Extraordinary Rendition, and it was phenomenal. Immortal kicks it up a few notches. Also I am extremely happy you are using Feedbacks. Wormy knows how much I used to use them before I quit.
what perks are you looking for on a Heavy Grenade Launcher?
I like Impulse Amplifier and Chill Clip. Grenades go almost straight and can slow groups down for easy kills.
What fragments and aspects do you use on arc Titan tho
i think the only way to get old crafted weapons like beloved is to just have it world drop, i got the red border ikelos weapons that way

Double GL sounds like a house of cards with your teammates required.
Fighting Lion is generally a must have if you plan of doing that build on Warlock. You can just float around in the sky raining nades down on people and FL has unlimited ammo so even if the match or round goes on for a long time you don't have to worry about running out of ammo.
The immortal was really annoying until they fixed target lock. Now it’s really good but you can counter it pretty easily.
I’ve been enjoying Antaeus wards w a fusion since dfp posted a vid on it. Def needs and adjustment.
Cammy! I have not seen a lot of stasis warlocks, don't give them any ideas. Crap, they're on to me and my double stasis turrets
Looking the absolute best bow swap build (quickdraw bow + quickdraw/snap 120) that according to d2 foundry should gets a 0.43ttk at 35ish meter would you consider that meta?
Use the Europa bow with erianas vow.. only 1 body shot each. Lucky pants needed, ophidians almost work.
