Easily one of the most beautiful saxophone solos ever!
of true giants, Michael then touches heights that no one will ever be able to react to
Brings me to tears. Absolutely gorgeous. Written by Mike Stern and is a masterpiece.
Sheer jazz beauty. Such a haunting number. Mike Brecker is so sadly missed.
Amazing. In this solo and Michael's improvisation it seems that Michael was saying goodbye to the ground. You make me cry Michael. I will be your fan forever. RIP Michael. We miss you!! :(
I’ve noticed in a few videos where Randy and Michael are playing together, you can tell Randy just loves Michael and sees his eminence as one of the quintessential musicians of our time. At least that’s what I think. Brotherly love and respect.
2020!!!!
One of the best live jazz performances!!!
We miss you, Michael....
What a heartwrenching MikeBrecker solo we have here!!! Legendary!!!❤❤😢
I absolutely adore Mike's intro and the transition when the rest of the band comes in. Great song.
Extraordinário Michael. Sax tenor
RIP Michael Brecker. One of the greatest ever Sax players. Listen and learn.
One of my favourite ballads ever. Thanks Mike for creating such amount of beauty
Cant stop listening to it - so beautiful ❤
Professor Mike Brecker , dominava sax tenor, coisa linda 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
from Stern's majestic intro to Mike Breckers absolutely mindblowing solo, this is one of my favourite piece of music on RUclips.
Pfffff one of the most beautiful Michael B solo ever! I was there and it struck me like lightning. Thanks for the upload.
Yea.... miss him.
Wow... What a lifetime experience that must have been 😮
10:33 what the hell just happened? I think I may have just heard the most mind-blowing single bar of music I’ve ever heard in my life.
I'll second that.
He turned into beast
Wonderful; from a small town in France
I am not a massive fan of Mike Stern's guitar sound but I must say that I like his work with the Brecker Brothers. Michael's magic is missed. Seeing him in person, sitting a few feet away was my idea of jazz heaven; Great upload -thanks!
what a beautiful tune!
one of the best tune I ever heard.......
Beautiful intro Mike ! Great composition ! Thanks so much...
Full of beauty. Magnificent.
Mestre Michael B. Ficou pra história do saxofone. Outro igual ainda não existe!!
Anyone know if Mike ever changed his sax set up. I love the timbre from this era.
Mike Stern would still be playing that damn intro if he could have it his way
9:30 - Randy seems to be happy with Dave's drumming. See ya guys in summer 2013! :D
At 10:23 a piece of "witchi tai too" by Pepper 😂❤
Genius
Capolavoro assoluto
FF to 5:00 for the song.
Minute 7:26 piano seems to blunder a note
If Mike still plays?
Michael Brecker has passed away in the beginning of 2007, unfortunately...
8:14
monstrueux lol brecker was monstrueux !
I wish I could have taken that damned mute and smashed it with a sledgehammer. You shouldn't ever ruin the sound of a trumpet
I guess you hate Miles Davis. His signature sound is produced with that Harmon mute.
I tend to agree with you. Makes an otherwise full throated instrument sound like a fkn kazoo.

That is stupid refutation. The "sound" of an instrument -- through adding some extraneous gadget -- has nothing to do with a player's greatness.
Liking or disliking "the sound" of any instrument is nothing but a personal preference. Eg, I'll bet ya 19thC guitar composers and maestros would absolutely HATE the sound of an electric guitar, equal to a wah-wah peddle and Jimi Hendrix fuzz box stuck on top of a Chet Atkins solo. Imo, making a trumpet sound like a kazoo is not my idea of musical genius.
