Thanks a lot TT London. Love this quality. Also if you could provide that ball animation of it's speed, that was great to watch in the last few videos..
officialITTF channel. Just hire this guy and fund him to make videos instead of contract hire. It will be really great for your channel!
What amazed me the most, apart from K. Ja's high quality and clever play, is his ability to fight on every point and thus catch up every time he was trailing in the set - great fighting spirit and focus.
Kanak has one of the best speed variations in the game, plus his backhand is high and always ready to defend. He used to have a shitty forehand, a fundamental flaw in US TT from a decade ago when kids were taught to use side spin to compensate for lack of power. Finally he has headed to better judgment or has developed some muscles.
Holyyyy molyyyyy!! Fearless play by Kanak Jha! Hope he will become a future champ!
@Suiryu he’ll face harimoto then.
@@aniketsakalley5374 Bhai😂😂😂
@@throwback7832 This comment aged well 😂😂😂
Kanak played amazingly!! Love Ma Long’s handshake and acknowledging tap at the end there
ass taping literary means: come to my room tonight.
@@johnyeo897 lol, wtf.
@@johnyeo897 LOOOOOOOOL
so much potential, that dude needs to go play in the chinese super league and get even better, he definitly gave ma long quite the workout
He needs to train and compete in China to further improve and become a competitor. He is extremely talented.
Nice Warm up for Ma long
His fundamentals are no good. To compete he would need to completely change his game, the same as harimoto. The young players who will lead the way are wang chuqin and Lin jun yu
@@jwxujerry
He plays in the Top German League but you are right he needs to play in the Chinese League. A few US Women Players have played in the Chinese League before.
Yes he is really extremely talented.
Thought it was gonna be completely one sided, surprisingly good game by Kanak
When you see Malong sweat, you know the caliber of his opponent
4 sets to 1. Thats pretty 1 sided to me.
@@jeeyongkimberlyjeee2537 4 sets to 1 really isn't that bad, what's more important is the loss margins. Plus, Kanak managed to actually take a set off Ma Long - which isn't bad at all.
Feels really bad that Kanak meets Ma Long so early, he definitely could go further in this tournament. Great game anyway.
That will make him more stronger
Ma Long being the 11th seed really messed things up.
@@pingpongprince4256 Yeah just shows how the rankings are BS tbh
Why Ma Long Playing in a qualifying match being the 11th seed, and destroyed some good player so early. I thought all seeded players started at R32.
@@simonwong2738 everybody starts at r128 no matter what unless you are unseeded, then you have to play qualifying matches before the min draw
What an amazing and smart display by Jha Kanak. Ma Long was really tested but he could shut him down in the deciding moments (as always xd). Hats off for this performance young man and keep up the good work!
Damn Kanak played really well. Only 18 years old. Young players play so fast these days. Only problem is mental strength. Once they lose the lead, an experienced player like Ma Long just holds it.
THAT WAS OUTSTANDING! I swear I've never been so hyped while watching a game. I already took a liking for Jha Kanak however while watching this (even though I'm a big Ma Long Fan) I totally supported him and cheered for every point he got.
I was worried that this would be one-sided but Jha Kanak didn't dissapoint me at all.
Respect to Ma Long our dictator but my thoughts are all directed for Jha kanak.
Wow.
Great to see a fellow American do so well in my opinion. One complaint with the tournament is that the numbers on their backs are too small to see their rankings. Bring us back to 2009 with the massive numbers
Yeah I know, I think they are worried about the sponsors and if they help with this beautiful camera quality then by all means.
First time I really got excited to watch table tennis in a while. Feels great to have an American to cheer for.
Wooow, this Kanak kid is pretty amazing! As the commentator said, just to keep pace with Ma Long, and to take a game, and get to deuce. I mean, he got Ma Long to switch serve stances, and even got a snake out of Ma Long. Amazingly played from Kanak.
What a hopeful and delightful team the Team America is... A superb talent and fearless attacking. Utterly exciting to watch him!
Wow, the kid has grown. Great match with fantastic plays from both sides.
Very good play against ML. I even saw some ML style pace changes and a chop block too. Also some amazing block against attack. Good job. 4:49 is probably the best point - KJ is attacking all areas of the table including ML's middle. Make him move!
Just love ML forehand. It looks so flawless, like perfect textbook forehand
Can’t wait to see Kanak play on home soil in 2 years 💪🇺🇸
Yup, I'm ready to go to Houston!
Bruh his roots are from india
@@reti-mj7qc He's from California bruh - born & raised
@@reti-mj7qc dude he is from usa maybe his parents were from india but he's an American
@@reti-mj7qc ethnicity doesn't matter, he is 100% american
Kanak Jha could be a problem in the future if he keeps improving at this rate, GG, and hopefully we’ll get to see another ML-FZD battle in the SF
Thomas Li a „problem“ ?
Moritz Friedemann A problem aka a great player who will challenge for a top spot and possibly win some titles
We need to eliminate him asap hehehe
Rambojan123 I mean, Kanak did put up a great fight in the 4th set as well, so the concern is valid.
Rambojan123 That’s true, but Kanak’s rapid improvement over the last couple of years shows that he has the dedication and potential to be a great player. I don’t know why you’re so adamantly against this lol
You don't realize how precious something is until it's gone, but it's back! Thank you Ma Long!
Great gane Kanak jha! Amazing Ma long, it wasnt an easy game for him ! Keep like that Kanak 😍
Way to go, Kanak! Keep going on this trajectory and he will soon fear you at the start of the match.
Now I'm super hyped for Kanak vs Harimoto!!
Rishabh Dubey when are they going to play each other? Youth Olympics or what do you mean?
@@felixhesa9962
I Ma Long defeated Kanak and moved to round of 32. While Harimoto himself has also moved to round of 32. So it's not possible here, but let's hope we see them competing in the future.
Rishabh Dubey yeah looking forward to that😍
Jha is amazing. He keeps getting better. Great seeing Bay Area player and coach.
We need more of this kid, what a player.
M sooo delighted to see an indian competing against ma long and giving tough competition. With ur style of play kanak you will go a very long way. I wish you all the best for all future endeavour. India is proud of you🤗🤗🤗🤗
@@uddipan123 He may be an American by birth but is Indian by heart. And I reckon your parents must have eaten horse shit to have given birth to a shit like you.
@@uddipan123 I am sure u were born of torn rubber m-fkr. Stop hiding behind a false name porky
i just enjoy watching Ma Long play so much. he's a bit slower than a couple of years ago. but he's so smart and so variant. really hope he'll be in good form for the Olympics
Jha played exceptionally well against a True Champ....he just just showed he is a special talent, obviously a future champion in making.....but still Ma Long is Ma Long, He knows how to win tough matches, this is why he is the best....anyways loved the match, just joy to watch as a neutral
Imagine serving long to Ma Long
death
Burned.
He’ll hit you long into your forehand
Kanak actually made it work though several times. Crazy.
these American youngsters are getting really better. I am impressed. I think USA is getting in a real good shape in this sport.
only kanak is good from america...
Kanak trains and plays in germany
. without that, he wouldn't be on this level
Jha is Indian
@@protokindraable The only thing Indian about him is his family's origin. He is American. We will never get anywhere as a country if we try to claim every successful person with an Indian surname. We need to create our own champions.
@@MrLalitknaidu ohh sorry on that i'm not claim as your cliam me i just only say "Jha is Indian"
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Amazing Play by Kanak. He did not go down without a fight.
He is from india
Kanak Jha played very very well. Your game has improved drastically brother. Keep it up. Cheers from India 😄
Even though Kanak lost, He would have definitely sent chills down every other chinese player spines for sure. Well played man!!
well played kanak this is the beginning, work harder n u will succeed.
@T K he recently changed to German Premier Leauge. The only better training environment is China 😁
Nice match. Reminded me of the 2010 asian games match between Kenta Matsudaira and Ma Long.
Holly molly god This guy is the best American TT player I've ever seen.. So much potential. I really hope him to see more next time
I 've never seen Ma long's backhand serve

We used it against ZJK and Lee Sang Su

one of the gratest opening matches i´ve ever seen!
¡uno de los mejores partidos de apertura que he visto!
I am so amazed I am watching it again...
What a resistance from Kanak Jha... I can watch his play until the morning.
Best match with malong i've ever seen
Really impressive game by the young american, we will definitely will hear from him in the future.
When Ma Long plays you and he says "cho" that's an honor
Chen Qiがベンチコーチやってる!!!
1番好きな選手だったから嬉しい。
林高遠のベンチコーチ入ってくれたら熱いなぁ!
A good match. Congratulations Champion.
Excellent Kanak Jha. Impressive play against Ma Long!
Amazing match Jha, way to represent🔥
What distinguish the great players is that, they can perform consistently well, even when they are down. That involves a lot of mental toughness and patience.
Unbelievable display by kanak zha...Never thought of such a greatest level game by any Indian player
@nexxt up fool I am just admiring him for a very good quality game I never saw by any player here...Narrow minded people like u are a headache for everyone
@nexxt up he may be a american or whosoever but you will always be a fool
Kanak jha playing will. Smart and good blocking skills. But MA Long is just too strong
2020 table tennis is the champion in the world tournament. final kanak jha. Congratulations jha.
Kanak growing into his strength, much more power in his game, very impressed at his growth
Kanak Jha has played boldly and confidently in first round. agains ma long was a nice experience.
いい試合だなぁ
こんなにいい選手だったんだ
Where is Adam Bobrow?
Kanak Jha is really good. I did not expect that
Holly Molly! Kanak you magnificent bastard, you played out of your skin.
clealy Ma long himself and his corner looked concerned on quite a few occassions during this match. Havent seen Ma long being defeated in some of those points by anyone so convincingly
you really see that Ma Long enjoyed this match ^^
Maybe a hard time for Ma Long but still 4-1...congrats you are still the man in the table...
Very potential for the opponent of Ma.
Ma Long found the way to beat Kanak in the start of the second match, Kanak found a way to encounter that during the third game, Ma Long immediately changed his strategy.
oh wait! Thats the guy from that vice sports documentary!
9:24 you know this shot
the shot ma long played against fan zhendong to win the 2017 world chamionships XD
2回戦にしてはレベルが高い試合でしたね。第4ゲーム落としてたら馬龍は危なかったと思います。
Kanak Jha played outstanding. Can't believe I actually got a chance to play him a few years ago. But now he's on another level.
Overseer Kevin really did you play him ?
@@VARMOT123 Yes. Probably about 3-4 years ago.
Overseer Kevin where ? How did it go ?
@@VARMOT123 Ohio USA He won easily
Overseer Kevin are you a semi pro or something
Great match! Kanak played really well
Kanak definitely has a great potential to become a world-class player
This sport is absolutely mental
The fighting spirit of Kanak Jha is to be highly commended despite the vast difference in playing abilities and amount of experience. Ma Long, by the way, doesn't seem to be up to his normal speed yet. He might speed up as the tourney progresses, though.
outstanding this young man from the US
Jha has improved so much since coming to Germany.
Jhaji to chaa gaye.. Supreme talent.. 🤘
Awesome@Kanak Jha..what a performance against Ma Long...
if jha had 3 more years of experience, this would have been interesting. hopefully jha gets a rematch in 2020 tokyo
Great game by the extremely young talented boy Kanak Jha
He must be given a second chance..
I used to play at the club he used to train at for a long while. TOP spin in Bay Area California. I think I played a match with him once when he was like 12 or something
Wow, Kanak is playing at another level!
What a show!!! Love from India
Kanak Jha has the ability to become a top 10 player..
First of all I thought Kanak is an Indian..
Kanak lost this game but won the heart of viewrs..played fearless.. He has the potential to be no 1.. carry on..
Great game...agree on that. Kanak's heritage and antecedents are from northern India....but he is a US citizen. Else he can't really represent the US
Great match!!! Kanak
The kid finally knows who and what is Ma Long.
Speed, power and placement ingredients of a champion.
A kid at my school beat Kanak Jha before, he's looking super sharp now!
Kanak jha’s mindset is soo nice 👍🏻 he just need to improve in execution of it 👏otherwise sooo challenging gameplay he is having
Best wishes for Kanak
Would love to see kanak rising 🔥✨
For a while I thought Kanak was from Malaysia who has a similar flag but then I realized he is from US. Wow, it would be amazing that if one day this brilliant young man can stand on the podium. That will mean a great deal for US table tennis.
Kanak means gold in Hindi. He stood by his name. Mind blowing performance indeed!
Brilliant effort by jha
I'm from U.S., but i bet Ma Long is going to win the match.
4:48 the best part of this game.
I know you love me 😙
Very impressive play by Kanak. He even made Ma Long surprised/unprepared for several of the early points, which is very hard to do. Those backhand down-the-lines were brutal. However, Kanak was caught several times by the change in pace/rhythm from Ma Long, especially on the step-around forehands. The biggest thing, though, is that Ma Long's experience really showed. He predicted a lot of Kanak's plays later on, while Kanak rushed too much on a lot of the points. If he can improve this aspect in future matches, he will rise up even more quickly.
Kanal Jha is SO IMPRESSIVE!!! He is just a kid and sooo much potential!
If only French players could as gutsy as he is :(
snapp.. four year later the lebrun brothers have arrived and took over the french table tennis scene

I was looking for this comment and i found it ☺
Kanak ilove you🥺🖤
He just plays in the 2nd german league and wins the a set against the world champion. Crazy!
Dropshot is awesome
It was just a bad day for Long. But great spirit shown by Jha.....Almost there.
Ma Long stays Ma Long, learnt and applied in the game itself ... Kanak spilled the beans in first game that his strength to score is "almost solely" to push way out of reach of Ma on mainly forehands ... thereafter, if this match was of a 100 games, the score would 99/1 in favour of Ma ...
the difference between ma long and everyone else is that most ppl want to finish of a point in style and end up missing. ma long never, never goes for style points. like a machine
Chinese players always test the opponents in the first game for weaknesses then adapt to demolish them. Something other countries have not been able to do. Super coaching and training.
Chen Qi❓
yep, he's the coach
