I've examined both images so many times, examined the present Hobbytown images and tried to scale the rooms in my mind, I've gone through so many possibilities in my head and next to none of them have added up. Then I came to this and I do think you've envisioned it accurately. I also think this is what it actually was like because nothing else seems to add up from the two original images of the room. I can literally smell the carpet from this video, so well done to you!
thx! i just tried to think on how the camera dude couldve switched between angles in 53 seconds so this is my best assumption, because one photo was taken 53 seconds after the other
Fun fact: the reason the yellow backrooms room and the manilla walls in the other photo is so different is because the original photo was edited to look yellow ;]
@@jaytdb Guess the only way to know for sure is if one of the people working on the room, or even the owner, says if it actually was yellow colour from the lights or not. But the true colour of the wallpaper wallpaper like you'd see in natural lighting I think personally might've been slightly more of a lighter, cleaner colour. But idk, maybe it was really just a dirty yellow colour and the lights didn't change the appearance of it much?
FINALLY THE GODS HAVE BLESSED ME WITH A VIDEO WALKTHROUGH THROUGH BOTH AREAS WITH A CLEAR IMAGE OF HOW THEY ARE MAPPED OUT PRAISE THE GODS 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Edit: I understand this is not real The point was to express excitement that someone created a space that was what both areas might have looked like And no This is not AI This is obviously made in blender or something Edit 2: Can someone get the creator here, I need to know WTF is happening anymore
Real talk however: I don't think the partitions would've been separate. Speaking in terms of construction that you would see in these older stores, they would've knocked them out and tossed the materials. Unless there's an image I haven't seen to the contrary (ain't no fuckin way I'm downloading a random ass google drive file without being able to preview it first), most of those stores were built with longevity in mind, not flexibility in the environment. Flexibility came in the form of disposability. It's why so many appliances and cars lasted so long: they were meant to last until the owner wanted to replace them in 1, 2, 10, 20 years. Same would go for partitions. But the space is logical otherwise. Even the archways, since it'd allow shoppers to look through the wall, at each display from multiple angles. I'll be honest, I'd be hard pressed to renovate the walls themselves if I had bought a store like this as a hobby store. They could've done so many cool things with the partition/partial walls.
Really cool video! I'm currently working to dig up the REAL floor plan, not something someone guessed based on images, but like the literal drawings used by the builders/remodelers/city. Either way, I've already got an entire timeline built for this space. Did you know it was actually 2 different stores after it was Rohner's before it was Hobbytown? The last occupant before the backrooms photo was taken was actually Knox Furniture Outlet, so you are technically looking at the shell of that business in the backrooms photo. I'm making a full video on it, stay tuned!
One question, im working on my own backrooms animation in blender and I wanted to ask how did you get it too look life it was filmed on an actual camera, because with mine you can still tell its blender
I like the idea of this being it, but the only thing I don't understand is what are the rooms used for in the first place? Maybe rooms for testing the cars, the random walls being obstacles?
This is a fake video. If if was real, I would be actually able to see that thing on the wall partially hidden, but I don't at all, unlike in the original photograph. Truly!.
the original layout of the area maybe was a bit different, there were 3 walls right there but the other image didn't come from right there, but it was close by in the building I think. Nonetheless, this video is really cool. It probably is the way that you imagined it, and I'm probably wrong lol
