Soko (Djembe & Dunun Demo)

This rhythm is played three months before the date of circumcision. After this date is set by the elders of the village, the young boys of the village who are to be circumcised travel together to other villages to announce to their extended family members the date of their circumcision. Every time they arrive at a village and announce the date to their families, the families organize the dance of Soko and Kalah for them on that same night.
