I use the tarrasch as my reply to the french so thanks for this video. Just won a game with this exact line and I'm sure there will be more in the future.
I had to play for my club at some point 2 matches in a row. Both matches ended up in the exchange variation. I was rated just above 1400, my 1st opponent was rated around 1670 and i managed to win that match. He was so mad, but it happens right. The week after i didn't had to play the same guy as he was playing at board #7 and i was at #8. My opponent had a rating around 1580. The 2nd game i lost, but also that player went very confidently to the exchange variation. While noone at my club plays for the exchange variation. I made a few blunders that game, so i deserved the loss. Afterwards i asked him why he went for the exchange variation. His answer was that French defense players are not happy when their opponent doesn't play the closed variation. I always thought that staticticly the exchange variation is less favourable to win then the main line. I would rather go as white into the main line. Making use of the space advantage compared to black.
Thank you so much sir for bringing this valueable material to us, one day ill buy your paid course and i would like to suggest a detail video series on gambit like for example 3 4 detailed analysis video (move by move) on any one gambit and also on its counter gambit...if possible for you...thank you :)
Thanks for the suggestion. We will make a note of your suggestion. We already have a course on Gambits openings for Sicilian, French and Ruy Lopez. You can find it here. online.chess-teacher.com/course/gambit-guide-minibundle/
Very nice! What if after queen d3 they block with the f pawn to f5? After rerouting the queen, they can move their rook and king can escape to f1 and then d2 it seems
These traps are fun but my opponents never cooperate. Here we have queen going to b6, my opponent instead moves pawn to f6. Now what? I played pxp. Waiting for response now.
hay gm i see so meny people playing black or white playing h6 h3 to against a bishop can you do a video showing why its absolute blunder in meny possitions when castled and worse on queen side there was a chess articale from gm shirov and gm ben finegold the older from wisconsin chess federation in 1986 or 84 talking about it um think few other were talking about in mag or rag as we call them in states ???

Dear smirnov
Thanks for such video.
What if white takes enpassant when black goes for F6 at check by queen
At 5:57, knight on d7 can go to f8 protecting the pawn very nicely
It's not best move

Is the cat still alive?😅
