Hey Becca, I LOVE your channel! I love that when I want to research something plant related, I type in my subject, and look for a video by you! Love the old and new content ❤❤❤ (follower for years)
thank you for being the first of anything ive seen giving advice on cloudy winters and electric bills!!! so many articles and videos ive found so far no one talks about conditions one may need a grow light minus "not having good lighting". i'm a new plant parent after adopting some plants from a friend who was downsizing their collection since they couldnt care for them, but i dont wanna kill them!
Hi Becca. I got 2 of the purpleish one. They are great. I have one in the bathroom, No windows, and the plants there are doing great. Recommend them 100%.
Congratulations on your channel being monetized, Becca you are so much fun and I love your channel, thank you for this review on grow lights, I have been doing my research on them, and since I live in Idaho and have such gloomy winters I will be getting some for my plants, like right now it's been raining for the last three days, and my house is so gloomy and I feel sorry for all of my plants. I love the color purple so I won't have a problem with the grow light that gives off the purple light, in fact I think I will love it a whole lot. Thanks again Becca, have fun and I will see you again, bye for now.
Thank u so much been looking for white grow lights for a while now !!! Will definitely purchase ur recommendation. The purple ones bother mine and my husbands eyes as well. We both wear glasses too.
Nice. I need to put one of those in my bathroom. It has no windows at all. Then I could put some plants in there. I've heard that some people like to put their grow lights on a schedule that is off of their own. So the lights are on in the plant room while they are sleeping. That might work well until you wake up and go into the bathroom in the middle of the night and get blinded by bright purple light! LOL
Love your videos as per usual! I use both white and purple lights for different areas and they both seem to be working just fine plants are all currently thriving 🤗🌿💚 Congrats on hitting 2k!! 🎉👍🏼 I just posted my first video soo I’ll see how that goes lol 😅
I'm new to the grow light thing...and I have had a hard time finding this answer (might be in the video you recommended but that I have not watched yet)...do you know if the grow light helps with variegated plants? I have one not near a window and it's reverting to all green leaves. :( I think he is too far gone to fix (thankfully he is a popular plant)...but I want to make sure this doesn't happen to to the more rare plants I just ordered lol
You know I don’t know the answer to that question and I wish I did. My impression is that more light helps plants keep their variegation but then I saw someone post saying something else. :/ what I do remember from that post is that if your plant jobs starting to revert back, cut it back to that last variegated leaf and hopefully the new growth will be variegated again.
Red and blue can grow plants well. I had a daylight led and the plant wasn't growing well so i tried a blue and red then it improved. It tilted towards the red and blue so i guess it liked that one.
Please can someone help me: Do the plants mind if I put on the grow lights at irregular hours? Example: three hours in the middle of the night when I come home from work. Or do they (Calatheas) get disturbed in their sleep because Calatheas close their leaves at night? Thanks.
It’s best to have them turned on for at least 12 hours a day. This will mimic sunlight the best! You can buy a timer or buy lights with a timer already included.
Yes it’s safe. The vast majority of grow lights, especially basic ones like these, produce little to no UV. Check out the spectrum range of the light & you’ll probably see that it drops off to nearly 0 below the blue range of visible light, which is where UV is in the spectrum.
That’s not true about the coloured light being better than the sansi white light. The sansi is full spectrum so therefore emits all colours but still gives off the bright white colour. I have 2 sansi lights and 3 vaxer ikea lights. They’re amazing!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants The outlet voltage in the UK is double that in the US, I guess it’s a safety thing. We also don’t have light switches inside the bathroom unless it’s a pull-cord hanging from the ceiling 😂
Led take up far less electricity is why you didn't notice a change in your bill. Even when you leave them on double the amount of time of your regular bulbs it would only amount to about the same price of your bills before that. I get a headache if I look into the red light. I've been to Besty Begonia channel. I watched a few of her video's and could not handle her. I'm too old to listen to annoying unnecessary noise. Though I use it when I'm sleeping anyway so no problem. It is called E26/27 light socket size is standard that fits all. Canadian amazon is more money that USA amazon. I bought these and they fit regular end table lamps as they are only a tiny bit bigger then average bulb. 2 bulbs of the full spectrum day light bulbs www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07GBT3LCX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know it’s a little irrelevant but she’s super pretty and reminds me of Violet from the Incredibles
Perfect!

Aww thank you!! Recently this video had gotten a lot of traction and I don’t know why, so glad you’re still around! ☺️
So so happy you’re monetizing now!!
Go girl! You deserve it. Your channel rocks. 💚💚💚
And thanks for that lil mention! 😁🌱
Thanks so much lady ❤️❤️ & of course, gotta spread the love! Hehe

Thank you so much holly! ❤️ yeah a grow light is definitely a good move for your house then. I’d definitely recommend the easy bright light, then! :)
I'm not sure if missed it, but how far should I have the grow light from the plants??
12" for younger plants and 24" for mature plants
I’m so glad I came across your video haha pure honesty and I love your vibes!
❤️❤️

That’s a great idea!! And yes I’ve heard of that as well and I think it’s a great move to avoid the blinding purple 😂
This was so helpful, thank you!
can you link where you got the cord you use fpr your grow light?

I just posted my first video soo I’ll see how that goes lol 😅
I saw the purple ones in the background of your video!! So cute! And thank you :) congrats on starting your channel!
Becca De La Plants thanks for watching!! I was soo nervous to post it!! But imma try to continue making more videos 😅💚

@@BeccaDeLaPlants Thank you for the reply! I will just have to experiment ;)
I’m over a year too late to this but I’ve seen a lot of reviews on Sansi bulbs saying they use them specifically for variegated plants!
I love an honest opinion, great video
The pros and cons👍🏻
Yes for sure!!! I want to bring value 👍🏼
😉❤️
Student loan. I like your honesty. Wish you luck.
Check inside your medicine cabinet for a plug on the sides inside or underneath in the cabinet of course you got a plug in there
Can those lights be put into a regular outlet?
This is a great video and will go and see where I can buy these lights!
Which episode from the podcast you're referring to?
Pretty
I don't know if I'm blind but did she put the link for the socket thingy she also used. I'm sorry if she did and I'm just dumb🤧🤧
I hope you get lots of followers and make money from youtube! You're great for plant info and you're so loveable!
Thank you so much! This is so sweet. I’m definitely trying :)
I've heard that plants need the full light spectrum and will do bad with only red/blue? Since the sun has full light spectrum

Thanks for a very informative video!

So the link to the easybright lamp site doesnt provide any way to buy these, just has info on 3 different bulbs. Where are these stocked?
I’m not actually sure, this company has rebranded since this partnership and I think they are now “Haus Bright”!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants found them on Amazon in the end
Do different plants need different grow lights if some of them like direct sunlight indirect etc???
Not necessarily different grow lights, but you just put them closer or further apart from the light source.
a week after this video the brand contacted me that I bought from it. So now I am very confused and excited?
That’s great!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants ... But I didn't buy anything from them
If that is a haus bright light, I know they sell them in three options. Warm, cool and purple light
Yes it is the same! I think since this video they have more options. Great lights!
DO NOT put a basket around that light, it will heat up way to much...only you can prevent house plant fires🐻🔥
I bought a small USB light that keep on my plants for about 5 or six hours at night is this safe?
Yes, should be
Is it safe to have grow lights indoor? I hve one but im so scared about the UV
Yes it’s safe. The vast majority of grow lights, especially basic ones like these, produce little to no UV. Check out the spectrum range of the light & you’ll probably see that it drops off to nearly 0 below the blue range of visible light, which is where UV is in the spectrum.

I'm that cluttered plants gardener
Hi I have a 3000 lumans and 6500 kelvin but only 30 watts am I wasting my time ,thanks for great video
We don’t have bathroom outlets in the UK at all 😂
That’s so strange to me!! 😂

the easy grow light link has no option to buy
Thanks

Hi there! purple grow lights are outdated and these are not full spectrum despite their name. Update your video please.
I can’t change the video :-) however, I made an updated grow light videos at December.
Thank you 💚
