  • A Video I made using a go pro, camera, and the new drone I'm still learning with. We had a week here in Rarotonga the landing was the hardest touchdown we have ever experienced but as we walked off the plane the heat hit us and made the landing all worthwhile. The people here are so friendly, the resort staff were amazing, and couldn't do enough for us. We hired a small car purely for the aircon many others prefer the scooters.

I LOVE Pacific island paradises, they're always so comforting, relaxing and interesting to me - with the most amazing, colorful scenery. I've been to Hawaii, Tahiti and the Cook Islands multiple times over the past 25 years and always had an interest in Maori culture. That's why I always joke that I'm secretly a Maori hiding inside a white man's physical body! I went to Rarotonga's Te Vara Nui exhibit and I loved the way it was a fantastic, intense, rollercoaster-ride of Polynesian culture. It really pulls a person deeply into native culture in such a detailed manner, it most certainly left a strong impression on this little white dude. It was such a high-energy experience I gave Te Vara Nui a full 5-star rave review on one of those travel websites (maybe TripAdvisor, I can't remember).

Wow have read all your comments thanks so much. We are planning a return trip next year and hope to take our grandkids. Its a lovely Island with so much to offer everyone. People so friendly and the food is amazing and fresh. I love the snorkling and I had some chance to get my drone in the air. Next year I will take another video and hope it will be better than this one. Thanks again for all your comments Nathan, means a lot. Dai

@@daibach999 My pleasure sir. Speaking of Raro's food, my favorite is that slightly sweet, juicy Iki Mata. It was fun to eat and I couldn't get enough of it, lol! My other travel activity is doing a lot of nature photography; so needless to say, these Pacific paradises have a lot of intense, colorful "camera bait" scenery which makes for some very unique photos.

@@daibach999 I noticed that nobody can only visit Raro once (especially me & my several trips), it's so pleasant that everyone who visits always has to visit Raro again to soak up more of its various unique, sparkling island features.

Thank YOU for your Rarotongan island hospitality. I've visited the Cooks at least 8 different times over the years (or was it 9?). I always loved your island's pleasant, relaxing mood (not to mention that wildly CRAZY-looking-in-a-good-way scenery!). Not to mention these vast, fantastic coral snorkeling lagoons in which I found a lot of otherworldly underwater landscapes! It was like being on another planet - in the best, dream-like way, of course.
